Brunch was amazing! Their food is very good and great portions.

It was so great to be back at Zias. The food was delicious. We started with a pizza (we always ask for extra crispy crust which we think is the perfect preparation.) My brother had the Chicken Limone and he couldn't stop raving about how good it was.

I want to be understanding with businesses trying to do their best under these circumstances, but this visit was fair at best. I have been to Zia's pre-pandemic and always enjoyed their food -- this time was not different. Both of our pasta dishes were delicious and there was plenty for leftovers. However, the atmosphere and service was lacking. We were seated in the tent and dressed appropriately. They had several propane heaters, but only one was on when we arrived for our 6:30 reservation so the tent was pretty cold. Our waiter took our drink and appetizer order promptly, but it was all downhill after that. Once we received our apps he took our dinner order and we never saw him again. I was finally able to flag him down after our dinner was packed up and we were too cold to stay much longer. Never checked on our meals or asked if we needed another drink. There were many people working that night between the bussers, waiters and help delivering the food.

Our experience at Zias is always excellent, but Saturday night was exceptional. Our waitress was amazing, and Tess, our hostess, sat us at the best table. Food and drinks were incredible as always. Will definitely be coming back again soon!

Difficult time for all restaurants. While it's nice to dine out, sitting in a tent with some heat is still dining outside in January - in Chicago! Cold! I was surprised our food did not have food covers during the transport from kitchen to an outside tent. One to keep the food hot and two sanitary protection. I think I'll wait to return when restaurants are fully open and we can dine inside.

We were seated close to the front of the tent— It was so incredibly cold, that it was actually uncomfortable.
There was no way to enjoy the meal - And we cut it short.

We were glad to be able to dine out for a birthday celebration albeit being in a tent on a very cold night. They had heaters everywhere, but it’s best to dress warmly. Food was delicious. Like many other places during Covid the menu is limited, but plentiful. Service was good. Only downside was even though we reserved for a “birthday” and ordered dessert saying it was for a birthday, we didn’t get a candle or anything special for the birthday guy. Maybe our server was too cold to hear.

Service is always exceptional, food no matter what you order is deliciously made, and even in a heated tent the ambiance was beautiful

We typically dine here for brunch, dinner was a little different. The Cab and pork belly salad were A+ & I loved the shrimp scampi sauce/bread combo. The pizza was more of a flatbread, and the flavor was OK.

The wind was too much to handle outside, and Kevin was kind enough to socially distance and accommodate us indoors.

I love Zia's! I'll go over and over again. I've gone several times, but this past weekend seemed incredibly busy. My friend and I waited forever to get our food and when we got it, it was cold.

First time there - food was delicious but was seated at the bar via a high top and was disappointed how hard it was to get a drink. My initial wine glass was empty for the final 45 minutes of our 1 hour stay. Same for both of our water glasses.

Fantastic brunch menu with great mimosa deal! The service was excellent and our waitress was so friendly and attentive. Definitely will be coming back

We went to Zia’s for Saturday morning brunch. All seating was outside under a large tent, which was heated and closed on most sides but has a slight breeze. The food was good and reasonably priced. We did the bottomless mimosas (also very well priced) and had a great time! Service was great, tables were well spaced out, and staff worse masks. Highly recommend for brunch!

I know they are doing their best but unfortunately we were very cold.

Love Zia’s for family dining! The portions are large for lunch the next day. The servers are the best!

Great food very attentive waiter.

Outdoor dining in a large tent made it a little cold, even with heaters, and noisy but overall the experience was still a fairly comfortable and nice reprieve from lockdown. The food came out hot and was tasty and the service was good too. This was the first non-brunch meal I’ve had here and enjoyed it.

Zia's has an incredible patio set up during COVID-19. The walls are enclosed with plastic to prevent wind, but the top of their pergola is open to allow airflow. They also have many heathers and standing fireplaces to keep the area warm. My husband and I enjoyed a delicious anniversary dinner outside, perfectly comfortable with our coats on. I felt safe while eating, and the amazing staff provided the high level of service that we've come to recognize everytime we're at Zia's. I highly recommend Zia's Lago Vista for a safe and comfortable COVID-19 dining experience!

I was so impressed with my first experience at Zia’s. We went on 1/2 price wine night and were offered complimentary charcuterie. Brendan was a great server and a lot of fun. We sat out front on the heated patio and all stayed warm enough to have our jackets off through the whole meal even in 33 degree weather.

The pasta dishes are very large portions (unfortunately we accidentally left our leftovers sitting on the table - ugh!). I had the farfalle barese and it was spectacular. I would highly recommend Zia’s and will be back soon!

Tent was warm for 38 degrees and the food was great! Very limited menu compared to indoor dining but that didn't take away from a great experience.

Brunch was amazing! $15 bottomless mimosa and/or bloody marys! Food was fantastic and filling! Bartender Brendan took wonderful care of us and was friendly. Def a must go for brunch and good vibes!

Seated at a table up against the tent wall which kept blowing into my chair hard, I asked if we could move and the waiter looked around like it was impossible even though there were many open tables, then told us no. We asked if we could turn the table so we were both near the heater and he said we couldn't because the tables were socially distanced. If the tables are distanced already why were we unable to move? I love the food but couldn't enjoy it because my date and I were freezing and so was the food after a couple minutes.

I felt safe with covid and everything. heaters were outside above us and there was plenty of airflow. people were wearing masks when they got up and so were the staff at all times. service was quick and friendly. the food was delicious. got the grape goat cheese and onion pizza. the meatballs and mixed fried seafood. they were all delicious. the wine was great as well. definitely recommend.

Great place for brunch! Our server was excellent and kept up with the bottomless mimosas, atmosphere is very fun and energetic and the food was wonderful. We will be back!

Love Zia's its usually a younger crowd in their mid to late 20's on a saturday which is always fun. They had it all outside but tables may have been a bit to close together for some peoples liking. Overall I love Zias.

Zia's is a great place for a group brunch because of the mimosa package and relaxed atmosphere.

Great specials. Patio warm, inviting. Well-heated patio. The food is great but this goes into the rotation also for being a place one can remove his coat to eat dinner while we are indefinitely banned from indoor dining. Masks enforced, tables distanced. It’s warm, safe, and well-staffed.

Food was delicious and the inside of the restaurant is gorgeous! Unfortunately, the outside tents lack a little ambience but it’s no biggie especially with all that restaurants are dealing with right now. Friendly and welcoming staff!

We had a great time. The tent outside was warm and yet open enough for fresh air. Anibal, our server, was great. Very attentive and friendly. Kevin was amazing. He made sure that we were comfortable and having a good time. Love this place ♥️
