Wonderful find, great Pau Hana.
We had such a lovely time, everything we ate was delicious. My favorites were the kale salad and ginger pork. Our server, David, made great recommendations and was very attentive. Thank you all so much :)
Food was excellent. Had the kale, ahi tuna roll, seared tuna and pork belly. Would recommend all of them. Food was inventive, fresh and plated nicely.
I'm glad if the number of items is a little more. For example, simple beef grilled.
A local recommended this sushi restaurant. The building was a beautiful Spanish style white and black building amongst the towering apartment complexes. We sat on the lanai. It was a lovely evening. I love their concept of farm to table. Their menu showcases their transparency and celebrates Hawaiian agriculture. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The fried chicken was not greasy and tasted delectable. Our waitress accommodated our food wishes and drink choices as well. Two in our party had the squash lemonade into a cocktail (vodka and gin.) I would recommend Zigu to anyone looking for a delicious, fresh farm to table restaurant with great ambience, relaxing vibes this is the restaurant to check out.
We eat at Zigu each time we co
E to Honolulu. Usually twice per visit. Service is friendly. Food is outstanding.
Excellent Japanese cuisine, service, ambiance and portion size.
Got seated and no one acknowledged us for 20 minutes. Walked out after a party of 5 got in and cared for literally seconds after they got seated. No one talked to us even once. No one came by at all. Good luck!
The variety was amazing. Will visit again when in Waikiki!
The servers were all very nice, and the food was good. Our favorites were the kale udon and ahi katsu. The mochiko chicken seemed more like chicken karaage, which we like, and it paired well with the pickled Maui onion.
Always one of my favorite restaurants to go to!
We had reservation because expected very busy on Saturday evening. We could seared at the outside by the door at corner right next the big group so it was noisy and our space was very tight.
There are no other table available for us, it was ok.
Our server was very pleasant, busy but keep her eyes on us! Starting Beer(tap) was not ice-cold but it’s okay. Then ordered a bottle of Red Wine which we enjoyed! We ordered 5 dishes to shared, all are very tasty and served in timely manner.
At the last, the Manager came to our table and greeted which we felt appreciated!
We’ll be back and recommed to our friends.
A real treat. A truly authentic experience.
Interesting food and great service.
Fiddlehead fern tempura!
Loved the food but service was super slow. Inattentive servers. Would still go back bc food is great.
Everything looks great So many things to try and everything looks Abbas smells good
We came to Zigu a year ago, we ate a lot of different things. The potato salad was notable. The shrimp tempura was very memorable. One of the things we really wanted to do was come back to Zigu. We sat at the counter. The folks cooking were very friendly. The whole staff was very warm. We had a wonderful time. This year, we went twice.
ALWAYS a great experience at Zigu!
We enjoyed our time here. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was awesome and creative. We sat outside in the early evening and really enjoyed ourselves!
Wonderful hidden gem in Waikiki - ask to sit in server David's section. Varied menu for all in your party. Validated parking at the Hyatt Centric Waikiki a few blocks away.
Overall very good experience. Food dishes not quite as described in menu. However the family enjoyed the slight uniqueness to the dishes. Service efficient but very perfunctory with little personality.
I tell everyone about Zigu! It's my fav Waikiki restaurant!
Yummy food, great service and very knowledgeable wait staff too- would definitely go back!
Amazing salmon roll and ginger pork 👌 service was top notch too
Everything was delicious and quite reasonably priced considering we were in Waikiki. We had the pork with ginger, the kale udon noodles with sesame sauce, and the abalone appetizer. Our server Corey provided excellent guidance on what to order and was terrific. We finished with the banana and red bean rolls which were terrific as well. Would go back any day!
It’s a Japanese fusion restaurant. I don’t think there’s anything gluten on that menu. We enjoyed the spicy tuna roll- it was unique and good. The miso soup was OK not great. We had a pork main dish that was quite delicious and tender and juicy. We also tried their famous potato salad and I highly recommend that. It’s a different experience -we sat outside and the atmosphere was quite nice. We recommend you give it a try- you might really like it.
First time at this restaurant. It’s very good: service and food.
Amazing fish and service!
