Rabot 1745

As always, a fantastic meal in one of the best restaurants in London, though with a shorter menu then I remember from previous visits, presumably due to COVID.

Lovely food from starter to coffee, well worth the visit

I like to call this place "posh-casual." It has a nice vibe to it, great service, delicious food and drinks, and is in a great location for your after-meal walk, as it's located smack-dab in the middle of Borough Market. It does tend to get a little pricey, but for a special occasion or business lunch, I'd say it's well-worth the splurge.

Fab dinner on the terrace. Covid safe. The food is fine dining but great portions and absolutely divine and service with a smile (even behind a mask). A gem in London Bridge. If you haven't been before, what are you waiting for......book now!!!!!

Great food & service as always! shame we were outside as the market was closing and was noisy but other than that a great evening.

We had a great table looking out over the market and there was an excellent atmosphere in the restaurant. The food was excellent and the best part was the service which was outstanding, made us feel at home, nothing was too much trouble! Thanks for a great evening and we will be back once the lockdown is over. Stay safe everyone!

Our trip to Rabot 1745 was one of the most rewarding and well-worth experiences out I've had in a long time.

The staff are very friendly, and attentive, but not in a nuisance sort of way.

The food was outstanding, there was a lot of attention to detail in its presentation, and the food tasted delicious.

The drinks fit the same description as the above, they looked beautiful and were very tasty!

The ambience was also wonderful as it was outside and on a terrace that look onto Borough Market, it was peaceful and relaxing, but also had a buzzing atmosphere about it because of the market. The terrace was lovely and we weren't cold at all as there were also heaters.

The comms before my visit were also great via direct messaging Instagram as well.

I couldn't recommend Rabot 1745 anymore, please go!

The service was very efficient and we received our food orders quite quickly.

The only down side was having our evening ended early and we felt like we were being rushed out of the door.

But we're aware it's due to the latests restrictions, which are outside of the restaurants control.

Otherwise we had a lovely time and will be back.

Slow service. I really wanted desert but by the time they got around to taking my order it was late and I wanted to leave. We were sitting in the terrace and on three occasions we had to go inside to find a staff member to take our order. Food was nice, though slightly over-priced for what it was and you expect good service for those prices. The decor and atmosphere was really nice.

Simply stunning. The food was amazing, service was great, we had a wonderful time and can't wait to return.

Great setting (perfect undercover, heated, outside tables) and lovely service. The “chocolate in everything” approach to the menu is a bit wacky and not for everyone. I enjoyed everything but wouldn’t make it a regular stop.

Really amazing, I have been here for Breakfast before twice and never dinner. It was actually great having the booth chairs/sofa because of Covid restrictions. It meant that it was private for me and my date. The food and service was outstanding, and I already recommended to my friend and I'm a local and I will definitely be back to support my local restaurant. The waitress was lovely and attentive and welcoming. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back. :-)

This place is great - the setting is lovely on the mezzanine overlooking the market. The food is very different and done extremely well would definitely visit again

After seeing Ansley Harriet’s Caribbean Kitchen in which he visited Rabot in St Lucia. They cooked Chocolate mash!
I was so happy when they said there is a restaurant in London!
My friend and I visited and were not disappointed.

We had a wonderful evening. Lovely menu with very imaginative flavours. The staff was lovely and arranged an earlier booking for us so we could have plenty time before curfew. A great evening overall I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the place and come back myself

Been here before few years ago so decided it was time for a re-visit.
As before, the food was superb and served beautifully.
Good choice of wines and other drinks too.

I did feel that the interior, although fine, was looking a little tired but that should not deter you from giving it a try if you haven't been before.

Overall, the food was amazing and if all elements of the booking were at this level, I would have given 5 stars.

I think what lets this place down is elements of the service.
On arrival, we had to queue on the stairs behind people who had no reservations and as a result we had to wait for about 10 minutes. When we reached the top, they took the reservation name and seated us outside on the terrace. I had specified at booking that we wanted to be seated inside. We decided to take the outside seating hoping it would be nice, but unfortunately it was freezing. We asked to be moved inside but were told that all tables were taken. We were moved to another table which was under a heater and a was a bit less exposed to wind which was an improvement.

However, I felt like we missed out on sitting inside as this was a meal for my birthday. This had been mentioned in the booking but there was no acknowledgment of it. It wasn't only colder outside but the noise from Borough market closing down took away from the ambience.

After this incident, our waiter was really attentive and tried to make the experience nice.

I think the food is what's best about this place. It was amazing. The bread with the dips, the pitons starter, the chicken, the mac n cheese, the sides of fries and mashed potatoes and the desserts were all great. Normally I can't do a 3 course meal but everything was nice and light and didn't make me feel as uncomfortable as other 3 course meals.

I really missed the white praline soother I had at the bar previously but my margarita was really nice too.

Overall, a good experience but I would definitely suggest to people that have booked inside to reinforce this when seated and not accept outside seating as it's unlikely to be allowed to change.

I was really impressed by Rabot 1745! The food was delicious and they were very good at catering for special diets. The service was also very good, particularly considering the new rule that they had to close by 10pm. Would highly recommend!
