Red Circle Inn & Bistro
Came in December. Very little Christmas decoration or atmosphere
You can't ask for much better in the Milwaukee area. Beautiful rustic rooms, attentive wait staff, and mastery in the kitchen. I've been to RCI many times and love it. This time I passed on the Wellington and osso bucco and went for the filet. I have to say it was one of the best I've ever had and I've had plenty of them across the country. So tender and juicy, and perfect medium rare. Great dark sauce. Extraordinary.
Wonderful dinner with perfect food and warm conversation very memorable evening
Excellent service too!
Our waitress Vicki provided excellent service, the food was even better when we has the leftovers the next night. We will be going back soon. By the way the dinner rolls are really good. We had an extra basket of them.
We had a very pleasant experience. The service was on target, drinks were good and the Lemon
Souffle was outta this world.
I would recommend to a friend but it would have caveats... I have been here a couple of times and although I LOVE the atmosphere, I feel the overall dinner service is just too slow - especially when you are a group of less than four people. On a Tuesday evening it took 25 minutes to get a party of three a drink, and it was even longer to place an order even though I tried several times to be overt in getting the servers attention so we could order. The steak ordered was requested to be "extremely rare" and it came out medium rare at best; the server took it back to the kitchen and their response was "if you cut it longwise down the middle it is rare in the middle." They fixed another one but at this point it was so long for food that what we really wanted was to just go home. Unfortunately the guest we took out was my mother-in-law from out of state who specifically wanted to take us to a nice restaurant - this experience was less than satisfactory by some measure.
This was my third visit there. Only one waiter for 6 tables. Had to ask for the bread which the waiter said he was bringing. Never asked if we wanted a refill on beverages. Steak was suppose to be medium well butterflied and it wasn't so had to have it redone. Will not be returning :(
We have visited 4 times in the last 6 months and every time the the food and service have been perfect.
Nice atmosphere and good for a special occasion. Food was good, but service could have been a bit more attentive. May return and try the bistro instead next time.
Never disappointed with the Hospitality or great food here.
Fantastic! What more can I say! Worth every penny!
An intimate venue, with great food and wine list. It was wife’s birthday and first time visit for us. Would definitely return!
Beautiful atmosphere. Excellent cuisine. Fair prices. Owner -Operator. Great, friendly person. Very welcoming
Been at Red Circle many times over the years. Keep returnInfo. Always a great dining experience.

Attentive service and wonderfully prepared fresh food. We were celebrating our anniversary. It’s the perfect place for a romantic dinner.
We loved the relaxed, quiet atmosphere for our dinner at the Red Circle Inn. The food was delicious & the staff was very friendly. Our server, Jeannie, was very helpful with suggestions from the menu & answering questions regarding menu items. We really enjoyed our experience, and look forward to a future visit.
Its great food but loud and hard to have a conversation.
38 years ago, we went to the Red Circle for our first date and really enjoyed it. We married and moved away. Just recently moved back to the area so wanted to see if it was still as good as we remembered. IT DEFINITELY WAS!!!! Service and food both outstanding. We met the owner and he was quite pleasant. He told us not to wait another 38 years!!
Never disappointed. We had an excellent evening for my husband’s Birthday
Birthday for my husband! Such a beautiful, warm and delicious experience.
Very good food and service was great.
This is a great restaurant. It was relatively quiet so conversations could be carried on during dinner. The food and the service were wonderful. It's so nice when the owner is present and stops by to chat. We will return.
Celebrated or 52nd anniversary and it was great! The Red Circle Inn is our go to restaurant for special occasions.
We've eaten at RCI many times in last years and mostly have enjoyed the experience, but this past time was magical - a chilly and drizzly early evening was transformed by a warm and cozy dining room with the lighting subdued just enough. And the food never better. I can never resist the Wellington, even though occasionally the meat is a bit overdone. This time it was perfectly medium rare and the sauce was superb. My wife went for the filet and it was perfect as well. Oh, so tender. We'll be back
Our guest said his duck was very dry, but the rest of our group the food was delicious
Excellent meal- impeccable service! I had the Osso Bucco- tender and delicious. My wife enjoyed a fillet with a marvelous sauce. My only regret is we split a suflet- I could have eaten a whole one by myself! Wonderful place, I highly recommend.
They are so organized. Our table was ready when we walked in the door. We had the special Porterhouse. The food presentation was top shelf.
The Red Circle Inn is one of the best restaurants in southeastern Wisconsin. Always good service, good food and an overall special experience every time.
Good food, great service
First time here. Great experience. Duck And whitefish were outstanding!!!
Fantastic food and great service. Dining room was full but we were seated immediately and the staff recommended some very nice wines to go with dinner.
My husband and I went here for our wedding anniversary. We've been here before and have had a wonderful experience. This time, however, things were off. Shortly after we sat down, our waitress came over and started telling us about the specials. She never told us her name, we had to ask. We ordered an appetizer and our entrees. We each also ordered a specialty salad for a $10 upcharge. our waitress brought our salads out before our appetizer. We told her we wanted our appetizer first, so she returned our salads to the kitchen and a short while later came back with our appetizer. Before we were hardly done with our appetizer, she came back with our salads, never clearing the appetizer dishes. We returned the salads because as they sat in the the dressing while we ate our appetizer, they became soggy. We both ordered the filet, and they were done perfectly! However, the whipped potatoes seemed crusty and dried out, like they had been sitting on the plate under a heat lamp. We both ordered dessert. My husband had the carrot cake, which was just ok. I ordered the bread pudding, which also got returned because it was over microwaved and not tasty at all. I feel this is unusual for this restaurant. We've never experienced this before, so it was a disappointment.
Everything was absolutely excellent! I had Beef Wellington and Lemon soufflé infused with Raspberry Sauce. My husband had Fresh Alaskan Halibut with pineapple mango salsa and Turtle Cake. We have never been disappointed. We highly recommend this outstanding restaurant!
Great Restaurant many different options and excellent food and service.
Wedding anniversary. The crowd was a little old compared to our normal audience but the service was absolutely fantastic. The food was incredible as well. Well worth the trip and well worth a visit but understand, you’re not going to some hip, trendy Milwaukee/Chicago hotspot for dinner. We will definitely be Back.
Luscious oysters Rockefeller, excellent filet mignon with sautéed mushrooms, velvety smooth old-fashion. Casual atmosphere, superior service----Red Circle has it all!
Excellent service coupled with a carefully curated menu that was executed to perfection!
Overall, our dinner celebrating our 39th Anniversary was spectacular! Will definitely go back!
Exceptional on every level!! Always!!
Always an excellent choice we had Beef Wellington and they never disappoint and when you go save room for desert
