Great food and service at a great price

We arrived in Vermont late without a reservation. It was a bit of a drive from where we stayed but totally worth it. The place was clean, staff friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious. We ordered a burger and chicken sandwich. Loved the local brewed beer.

We loved the vibe of an old school ski lodge.. cozy, solid, food was good, service good ... felt like home ... we’ll be back

Very friendly staff. Just the right amount of attention. Ate outdoors and had a great meal.

The Red Slate Restaurant is by far the best value in the Londonderry area. Food is excellent. It is served hot, and beautifully, and in portions that no one can complain about. Service is great and they are doing everything possible to stay afloat during this pandemic. I highly recommend The Red Slate..

We love the Red Slate. This is a hidden gem in Londonderry. The food is excellent as well as the drinks at the bar. Be sure to enjoy a drink at by the fireplace before your dinner. You won't be disappointed. Vince, Carol, and the rest of the staff will take excellent care of you!

A good late night spot if you’re staying around Magic Mountain. There was a party of 6 that sat down before us, so our food took a little longer than usual to come out. The waitress brought us popcorn though. And the maple frozen yogurt was amazing

Mother’s Day. We were the only customers for most of our visit. Portions were a tad small for the prices. Food was good, place needs a little updating.

We had the best time. We made a reservation and they had the most adorable table set up with fresh flowers and a reserved sign on it. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. If we’re ever in Vermont again we will absolutely be coming back!

This restaurant is a hidden gem.
We were both going to have steak, until we were told it was Fish
Fry Friday, so we opted for the special and it didn't disappoint.
Good choice of crafted beers and the flight of beers is a good way to sample a range.

It was great! So welcoming and homey.

Cozy, lodge spot that’s not fancy. Food is good and hearty. A good choice versus the expensive other local restaurants in this area. After skiing this is a perfect choice for a family.

Had a great dinner here last weekend. We arrived early (around 5:30pm) and basically had the place to ourselves until a little after 6pm. Food was good and the service was quick and friendly. I would definitely go here again.

Quiet atmosphere....we were allowed to dine in the lounge area by the fireplace.

We were very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food at the Red Slate. The cheese plate was very tasty and the salad was extremely fresh with many interesting locally sourced vegetables and a great home made dressing. Our main courses- fish and chips and smoked salmon pastrami over Caesar salad- were both delicious. Martinis and wine were excellent also. The service and value were both outstanding. I would love to return to this restaurant- wish it wasn't so far from home!

Service was very friendly and efficient. Burgers were quite tasty but the fries left a lot to be desired; seemed to have been only partially cooked at too low a temperature. Advised server who said that there were problems with the fryer. The bar area is adjacent and, although it wasn't very busy, the bar noise just tumbles into the dining room. Probably not my new favorite place in Londonderry.

Quiet, great food, reasonably priced. Dining room a little dated but clean. Food was very fresh. Specialty drinks were good too.

Vince is a gracious host and you couldn't ank for a place to get some good food and rest and relaxation.

We enjoyed the salmon (not dried out perfectly cooked on a bed of quinoa. The steak was prime and cooked rare as requested with a nice pan sauce. OUr 3 year-old devoured the poutine, and thought her gnocchi were excellent, the sauce was simple and delicious. Great Vermont drinks and a quiet atmosphere. The small bar scene was fun and comfortable.

We were pleasantly surprised when we dined here while staying at the lodge. The food was fresh, using local foods, wine and beer. There were menu choices: fish, chicken, beef for everyones liking. They were all prepared with care and wonderful taste. The chef did a great job. Would definitely eat here again.

The waiter--who was very new, to be fair--didn't know what the bar had on tap (took him two tries to figure it out) and didn't know what the specials were (also took two tries). But he did keep our water glasses refilled.
The decor, which really was fine, included unusual touches: metal interior panels similar to the shutters that would be pulled down over a closed storefront, as well as what appeared to be a large antique meat grinder...led to a running joke at our table that at a certain hour shutters would close over the windows and doors and guests would be fed to the meat grinder. Overall, we had a good time and the food was OK, although the website verbiage about a menu based on fresh local ingredients was presumably aspirational.

Great meal, near hotel & skiing at Bromley or Magic and reasonable prices. We were happy with selection for adults & kids and everything was even better than we expected:-)

This was a great place for dinner. The food was very delicious and well worth the cost. The Bar has only Vermont made booze. I was very impressed with the amount of Vermont made booze available to the bar tender. I recommend the Magic Mtn Crush.
