Monday Night Pre-Fixe MenuAug 31, 2020開始On Monday evenings Republique will offer a special pre-fixe menu only.
top ten best meals of my life. the food was spectacular
Amazing food and amazing service. We outside and it was a cold day but their heaters did a great job keeping us warm.
Each meal is small in size but after all the courses are done we felt full and definitely satiated.
I would recommend this place to anyone, and especially the pasta dish with white truffle sprinkled on top is a must.
Very good service and food, would recommend to anyone.
Never disappointing! The bread!!!! Recommend the short ribs! Lovely cocktail! Take a coat!
Incredible on ever level!
Food and service was wonderful. The music was not what we considered appropriate for dinner and conversation. Overall the meal was very good and we will be back again.
Best meal I've had in 2020. Service was fantastic as well. Thank you for lifting our spirits under COVD
went here for our 1 year anniversary to have a nice dinner. Food was amazing and the staff made you feel safe. Definitely must have the egg on toast here. Everything was sooo good!
Kind, well informed staff and excellent food. Appreciate the covid compliance efforts v much
Outstanding service, good, and alfresco ambiance. Love that even with the pandemic, they continue to offer their signature dishes with more hard-to-procure ingredients, such as the divine bigeye tuna tartare and duck.
a wonderful experience overall, excellent menu and service
every dish was ON point. surprise foie gras was amazing.
The food is exquisite - as always. Eating in the partially covered parking lot is small price to pay to be out and experience the excellence in dining as we did here. The Santa Barbara prawns are outstanding, if on the menu when you come do NOT miss them.
I love republique and frequent it. Great outdoor dining too!
3 stars for ambience due to the outdoor seating environment for COVID compliance.
It was very nice. From the food to the drinks to the outside. Very nice dinner date.
Food was extremely overpriced for the quality
Love the place
Food explanation could be better for first timers. Was told
New menus are printed with a different meal
Everyday. Unture. The menu was exactly what I read on the website.
It was good. It bit overhyped (not by the restaurant but reviews) and the pricing does not match what one gets, value-wise. But genuinely enjoyable otherwise.
It is way overpriced for the food and quality of the food. For example we ordered the tuna appetizer which was $48. It was enough for one person and we were sharing with 4. The short ribs which were to be shared was a very small portion. A little too precious. Also, couldn’t bring your own wine which is unusual.
The service wasn't tight and there were a few unfortunate and costly miscommunications. It felt like I was overpaying and expected to play along.
Great except for truffle push
Got too little for $$$
I visited Republique for the Monday Night Dinner special tasting menu event in October 2020 in the midst of LA County's COVID-19 restrictions so all diners were seated outdoors al fresco in what used to be half of their valet parking lot. They did an excellent job converting it into an area highly suitable for dining and they exceed the 6 foot social distancing placement tables requirement so that's a huge plus during these COVID-19 times. I quite enjoy having meals outside so I hope they keep this format even after LA County's dining restrictions are lifted.
Some other reviewers on Open Table complained about crickets, but I didn't see any although I did hear a cricket here and there. All staff from the hostess at the front, servers and bussers were appropriately attired with PPE (personal protective equipment) gear and observed protocols so I felt quite safe and relaxed dining at Republique.
On to the food, I had the special Monday Night Tasting ($75) with a $15 supplement for a lobster gelee topped with a nice mound of caviar and the delicate gelee generously contained chunky bites of lobster. For those who aren't aware, Republique does elevated California-French bistro fare and the chef does an excellent job of highlighting the best of produce, seafood, meats and poultry the region has to offer (on this particular night, the main course was roasted quail with blackberry jus). I'm extremely salt sensitive and I'd say Republique treads a nice middle ground - not too salty, nor bland. The pastry chef is equally accomplished and renowned. If you enjoy wheat-based goods, you're in for a treat, because the baguettes are known as the best in Southern California and the rotating desserts for dinner are every bit as delicious as they're photogenic.
Excellent as always. First time back post-pandemic. Well done considering the limitations.
This was the best COVID-era outside dining meal we’ve had. Tables were well distanced, service was fantastic. The food was glorious. We almost forgot how amazing dine-in food is! Thank you, Republique!
Great food in trying times can't be easy. Masked, Shielded and gloved servers garnered a 30% tip on a pricey, but great dinner.
Delicious food and friendly people.
Amazing food and service!
Food and service were divine. The only remotely negative critique is the water; it tasted awful so definitely opt for bottled. Other than that, the experience was amazing!
Service was horrible
The meal itself was fantastic and the food never disappoints. However, it is definitely a more pricey dining experience. The highlights were the bread with pan drippings (a must!),cioppino, and the mafaldine. The short rib was OK, definitely "good" but not worth it in my opinion. For the most part the flavors were incredible and the service was excellent.
Best food in Los Angeles!!!
The entire experience was incredible! The food and service was exceptional! We felt the COVID safety measures in place were excellent!
High quality food and service on comfortable COVID patio. All staff wearing masks and servers with face shields. Very positive experience.
We did the prefixe menu on Monday night and it was very well put together, the service was good and the overall atmosphere was enjoyable (all things considered, due to COVID we were on their new parking lot patio).
My only critique is the pace of the meal seemed slightly rushed. All staff was highly attentive and provided great service.
Very expensive for food that is ok, wine should be better selection
There four of us... we were told that each of the entrees were for the table... in short sharing. We all felt that there was not enough for four.... the servings were mi iscule to serve four... maybe enough for two but not. For four.
