   1回目は彼と来店した際に、あまりに美味しかったので、 旅の最終日に1人で来てしまいました。 どちらのオーダーも、サラダから1品。 お肉から1品。毎回感動して食べました。 まずサラダのドレッシングがとてもよい。ナッツの使い方がセンスが良くて、味がぐっと広がりがあって 幸せな気持ちになります。 特に芽キャベツとベーコンの温かいサラダは感動でした。 肉料理も焼き加減が素晴らしく、また ソースが美味しい。甘みや風味のある、まろやかなソースです。自分でも作りたいけど絶対作れない味。 パンとバター、ドリンクも 美味しい。 アルコールはしっかり目です。 こんな美味しいカジュアルフレンチがアメリカにあることが衝撃でした。 店内の内装もセンス抜群。若い人を中心に人気でかなり活気がありますが、よく見たらカウンターで１人で食べてるおじさまがいらしたので、味が好きで通う方がいるのでしょう。 真ん中の大きなテーブルだと、ちょっと騒がしかったんですが、2度目に窓側の入り口付近の席にしたら 落ち着いて食べれました。 また、必ず行きたいです。

   牡蠣やウニなど、海鮮も美味しい、カリフォルニアフレンチのレストランです。一皿の量は、アメリカンとしては少なめで、いろいろ頼んでも持て余すことはありません。ブイヤベースは、ロブスターの微妙な火入れで、かなり美味しく頂きました。

   Came for a birthday dinner of 8 and it was fantastic. Did the 135/pp package and everything was delicious (with one or two items a little too salty). But what an amazing array of delicious food. And certainly a value. The starter board is visually enticing and full of delicious nibbles. Sommelier was very helpful as I butchered describing what I like in my wines. Service was great. Highly recommend the family style chef table experience.

   The food was delicious—such a wonderful blend of flavors, everything fresh and thoughtfully put together. The service was also wonderful. I so appreciated going out for a nice dinner and not feeling like we were being rushed.

   the food is amazing! the venue is gorgeous! the staff is very in tuned w/ the menu and very nice. we love it there and will come back. the waitress recommended 2-3 items per person for sharing. we followed her advise and it was way too much food. we would have been content with half that. granted we enjoyed the food for 2 days at home with the leftovers, that's not the point. our $500 bill could have been $350... other complaint is that the staff insisted on clearing our plates and utensils after each item we ate. we all like to keep our plates in order to save water/ dish washing, but they said they are not allowed to and had to remove the dishes. i understand the staff is following orders but if we don't want new plates, we should be able to keep them.

    Upselling pressure was annoying and persistent. We did not ask nor did we want the waiter's advice or recommendation. The suggestion that we order a cold appetizer, a hot appetizer, a pasta course, and an entree was irritating. The waiter's offered that his favorite was an $80 appetizer. When one of our entrees was unavailable the waiter once again suggested that we order some appetizers. After we choose another entree he then ask if we wanted the baguette, a $12 item. All very annoying. The addition of a 4% Health Service fee was also irritating. The appetizers (burrata toast and Croquettes) were tasty but small and overpriced. The entrees, "Halibut" and Beef Cheek were good, although the accompaniments for each were the best parts. These were delicious. But as to the main parts of the entree, the fish was thin and overcooked, and the Cheeks were a bit tough. Both were nearly $50 each and way overpriced. Food servers were excellent. For value I would rather go to Lawry's or Morton's and for interesting food I prefer Providence.

    The hubby and I enjoyed a fabulous anniversary dinner.🎉 We greatly enjoyed our drinks and meal: baguettes with butter, Dungeness crab and Oysters, roasted sprouts and Dover sole. The Dover sole was melt-in-your-mouth divine! We ordered the pasta with lobster but decided to take it home to save room for dessert of dark chocolate mi-cuit with banana ice cream. Each course needed a lactaid pill for me. Well worth the “sacrifice”. The service was great. The Pilsner was sublime as was the house G&T. We joined a gym afterwards! Lol! 🤭 (We had the pasta for dinner at home: too good! Still maintained its bite! Yum!!) 😋

    For a fancy restaurant, this is worth every penny. The dishes are always stellar, the palate is so varied for a lot of them, and service is always immaculate. This is easily my favorite restaurant in the city, it’s a great place for celebrations or just treating yourself. I cannot recommend this place enough!

    The girlfriend and I ate here based on the reviews. The restaurant itself provides an amazing setting for a date or dinner with friends. It was extremely loud, probably because it was packed. Be prepared for that, it’s not a quiet setting. The service was truly amazing, the bus people and waitresses were on top of everything. I would go back here based on that alone. The food that we ordered was actually amazing as well. We had the baby lettuce, asparagus, Campanelle, dry aged rib eye, and baguette with pan drippings. (Bottle of wine of course 70$) . I didn’t think the prices reflected the portion sizes. Each item is meant to be shared, definitely more of a TAPAS style restaurant. For each dish you’re able to have a few bites each amongst 2 people. Our bill with the bottle of wine and tip was $400

    Service was quick and to the point. Bussing seemed clunky. Food had highs and lows. Baguette and butter was delicious. Duck was perfect. Overall composition of dishes seemed to lack somewhere. But not to say that the food wasn't good. But strawberries in the kanpachi crudo seemed to outshine every other component. When you found an apricot in the roasted brussel and broccoli dish it was a perfect bite. If you grated some parm on my pasta it would have instantly been elevated. If you toned down the sweetness on the blueberry sauce for the duck it would have brought it home. I just wanted more, which you hate to say when you drop a few bills on a meal.

    Excellent food and beautiful service in an enchanting space, a building constructed by Charlie Chaplin in 1929. Some of the best food I've had in US recently. We particularly liked baguette with pan drippings, Dungenness crab salad, and agnolotti. Good wine list with mainly European labels.

    The house-baked baguette, Meunière butter and pan drippings continue to be outstanding. Cheers to the pastry chef! Our server and assistants were great. Attentive and thoughtful. The unique space, architecture and ambience are special and memorable. Will recommend to others!

    Unlike some other “chefy” restaurants in LA, République is has little pretentiousness and a great front-of-house staff. It’s a chill vibe in a stunning building with delicious food. Two of us shared the baguette with salt & butter, delicious leafy salad & green goddess dressing, pork belly with caviar, the english pea stuffed pasta, and the amazing duck, followed by the mango “pie” dessert. A sommelier helped us pair a couple glasses of wine with our meal, which also came with a potato leak soup. It was a lot of food and all really delicious. We especially loved the leafy salad with green goddess dressing (first course), and duck with blackberry sauce (fourth course). Drop in for pastries and coffee to-go or a full brunch, or go for a great dinner. You can get by with one main plate plus a baguette if you’re on a budget, or go for the chef recommended 2-3 plates per person if you are wanting a more complete experience! A great place!!!!

    The place is extremely crowded and very popular. I found the service to be slightly slow but almost salesman like. there’s a heavy emphasis to sell you $12 bread and butter and to encourage you to order an entrée from every category of the menu. Only one of us drank alcohol, so we ordered by the glass. the suggestions were always the most expensive items on the wine list and each pour would barely fill a shot glass, resulting in an over $100 drink Bill for about 6 ounces of wine. The food was good, but not spectacular, and there were actually only four full-size entrées on the menu. The bill for two people, only one of whom had wine, and no dessert came to almost $400. I feel that for that much money there are far better choices in LA.

    Sad to report this place just doesn't quite as good as it should / could be. $100 for an (admittedly excellent) lettuce, tomato and avocado salad and a very small bowl of about six sticks of asparagus cut up in a cheese sauce, again, very tasty but petite, and a glass of water. Add service and $17.50 valet parking (no other options before 7pm) and... Music was loud, pop and tacky, I have no problem with the Notorious B.I.G but it was a strange choice given the other elements of the ambience. If you don't want to sit at the high tables near the front windows the back dining room is so dimly lit I needed my phones flashlight to read the menu. Also, other than the two dishes I named there's almost nothing available for vegetarians... Bottom line: could be wonderful, because there's clearly talent in the kitchen, but right now reeks of inflated ego and not a lot of class, a shame.

    Food was amazing and the service was impeccable! We brought our 10 month old Bernedoodle with us and Chef Walter brought him a lamb bone . Needless to say he loved it and kept him occupied for an hour.

    First time at Republique but definitely won’t be the last. An amazing environment, expansive & quality wine list, and very good food. Service staff was pleasant and polite but a bit “dry” and/or something was missing. Don’t let that deter you though. Highly suggest making a reservation but walk-ins are ok too. We will be back for breakfast, brunch, and dinners.
