   Service is good at best, however for what is advertised and the cost with just two of us they still had to ask who ordered what when served. Ordered lobster as it was featured on the menu. The lobster was overcooked and as a result part of it was tough and chewy.

   I’ve eaten in many French restaurants and this one is a must. The foie gras was excellent as was the rack of lamb. Here’s a clue for the unpolished that go to a fine dining establishment. Ask the waiter at what temperature ie rare, medium etc the chef recommends the beef, fish, poultry be served. You won’t be disappointed if you have any refined tastes. The waiters are all men and yes they are traditional in their service etiquette. If this offends you stay home you’re too fragile for the real world. Try Applebees instead.

    We live in Florida but summer in Quebec. Le Continental is our most favorite resturant in North America. The food and preparation at the table is a wonderful experience. Best service in the world. We always get the peppercorn steak. For desert….Brazilian Coffee. Wow.

    FOOD: Parmesan croquettes appetizer didn’t even taste like Parmesan - quite bland. The cooking steak at your table gimmick is a bit much, but the steak did taste good - way too much gravy though. Not worth the $$$$ price tag. Salmon & crême brûlée were very good. SERVICE: Waiters are all men and appear to be somewhat sexist, didn’t really speak or look at my wife. One of our waiters was younger and appeared to be in training, and he made a mistake at our table and his boss scolded him right in front of us which was awkward and unprofessional. AMBIANCE: You will definitely smell like a kitchen when you leave due to all the live cooking happening on the floor. Lots of smoke and fires (flambé) going on. Place is pretty dark also.

    Has to be my favorite restaurant ever! It is truly dinner and a show. Filet Mignon cooked table side is incredible. A flambé dessert is a must, made table side. This isn’t just dinner, it’s an experience. Wait staff are incredibly engaging and their table side preparation of your meal is elevated to an art form.

    We enjoyed the entire experience. Our food was exceptional- a most delicious and memorable meal. With fresh snow out the window and the radiator at our feet, it was festive and cozy! Our waiter suggested a Canadian wine that was fabulous. (We tend to drink European wines and were happily surprised by this Canadian wine.)
