Great tasty food.
Very good food, attentive service
Overall disappointing as I had higher expectations after reading the reviews online. Food was very average & for me the sauces appeared to be "standardised". Service was friendly & pleasant.
Good food, a bit crammed downstairs as we kept having to move to let the waiters through behind us.
Food very good in a very central place. Service was good. Will go back again
We just received a notification we were a no-show. Nonsense.
1) we went there and announced reservation. We came straight from CogX. They didn't care, "yeah, yeah", brought us downstairs and were rude AF. Then they continuously harrassed us if we didn't want to eat more, drink more, buy more. We were having a conversation. As we apparently didn't eat enough (we had ordered appetizers, main course, drinks) they just decided to ignore us entirely.
Oh: the food isn't bad, but not great either. Most certainly not authentic. We've had tons better.
We chose this restaurant based on its review but felt it didn’t live up to it. There were seven of us and we were all packed like sardines into a corner right next to the toilet and kitchen. Lots of sauce for each plate but only a mouthful of meat! The food is average. We ordered six plates of different dishes but they all taste pretty much the same. With poppadoms and drinks on top, we ended up paying £25 per head. For a Central london that is not expensive but for the entire experience it is. Quite disappointing.
We were in London on vacation and this restaurant had good reviews. The food and service were very good. Restaurant is small so I recommend making a reservation on Open Table. It’s located a few blocks from the Baker Street tube station.
The best traditional, no frills Indian in Marylebone.
Overall was reasonably happy with the meal did feel that the portions were a bit small but the service was good.
Good quality and fresh curries (great chewy naans!) in rather close-quarter surroundings. Servers were endearingly chatty - you really got the sense of a family-based business. Would probably come back if in the area (but try get a table downstairs - as it looked as if it may be bigger!)
This restaurant has amazingly good food. This place falls in my top 3 places to eat. The place is cramped, but the food certainly takes away the hesitation of the cramped space. Great service. Did I say food was amazing? Our party of 6 had to try what everyone else was eating. Highly recommended, come with an open mind.
Another delicious meal at our favourite Indian restaurant in London. Chicken Shashlik Bhuna is delicious!
We really liked the food and the service was very friendly. We will definitely come back.
Excellent food, great value, well priced, quick service. I was a huge fan and will be back again.
Very friendly engaged staff.
Excellent as always. Friendly service. Wonderful food. Highly recommended!
Great Indian meal, I will happily travel a bit further for this spot! Friendly service and amazing atmosphere.
Hi. Too busy downstairs, People rammed in, waiters constantly banging the back of my chair. After my starter the waiter collected the plates and put the dirty cutlery back on the clean table cloth for me to use for my main course. When the waiter came to collect the table cloth after the main course he threw another dirty table cloth in the middle of the table and then proceeded to remove ours and wrap it around it. We had booked through open table for 8.30. When we arrived they said we didn't have a reservation. I showed them our booking. I then got an email from open table to ask why we hadn't turned up. We paid at 9.30 - exactly one hour at the table, and were finishing our drinks when we were asked to move on as people were waiting. all in all an omni-shambles. The foods good but doesn't mean we will be going here again.
Last minute booking after another booking fell through. Just your average Indian restaurant. Standard fair, nothing outstanding. It's very tight downstairs. Service was good. Not exactly good value. Nothing particularly bad about the place but nothing particularly good either.
The service was slow - including taking our orders- even though the restaurant had asked us to come early.
The food was good and well priced.
Great Food, great service, place is veru small and tight hard to go to wc. I would go again
The service was really special, attentive, knowledgable, happy restaurant staff. The menu had some different and interesting options. The food was all made from great quality ingredients and had incredible flavours. The atmosphere in the restaurant was excellent. I would fully recommend if you enjoy Indian food try this place.
A great local Indian restaurant which we will most certainly visit again
Great food! Tables quite cramped / too close together.
Very disappointed. They called 40 mins before our booking to say they could only seat us outside, so we cancelled. They then phoned back to say they could seat us after all. We arrived on time and they only had a table of 6 instead of 8. 2 of our party had to stand until they made another two seats available. When they sorted this, 10/15 minutes later, we ordered. Some of our meals didn’t arrive and food was disappointing when it did arrive. It was very busy downstairs and we had to shout to have conversatsions. They overcharged us at the end and the bill was wrong.
The food was good however we felt really rushed to get out of the restaurant (it was 10pm).
The waiter removed the table cloth while we were still at the table finishing our drinks, leaving a stained table cloth that was underneath. Also the plates were removed very fast although some were not completely empty. Overall felt the staff was a bit rude and rushed even though they waved at us from the street to get us in the restaurant.
Great food , speedy service, good location, highly recommended
Food was OK. Seated at an outdoor table. The constant hawking of customers on the sidewalk was really annoying and unnecessary and made it difficult to carry on a conversation with my friend. The coming and going of the Deliveroo scooters was also unpleasant. It literally felt like we were eating on the street. I also think our quite extended wait for food was a result of delivery orders being prioritized over seated customers.
The staff were charming and exceptionally helpful. The food was absolutely amazing - slightly out of the way location wise but well worth it
Family business that treated us like family. Loved the food and the outdoor seating in a quiet neighborhood. Would go there again!
A great curry house - old school
Dining downstairs uncomfortable. It is too cramped to enjoy your meal if you are seated in chairs.
Wonderful Indian, subtle flavours, the real thing. Would highly recommend. Staff a little overly nice / PR conscious, but nothing too bad. Would never walk in from the appearance, but it has become my go-to Indian in London.
Food and service were great. Also very good value. Will definitely come back
Fabulous Indian, best I’ve had in London so far. Sophisticated curries with depth and range of taste. Good prices, and a nice staff (if a bit pushy with their self promotion - I would tone it down if I were them!!) Either way, a hidden gem.
Loved this restaurant! The food, the service were fabulous! Authentic Indian food anyone will e joy! Service was great and there was no rush to get you out! Small and intimate with upstairs and downstairs dining areas. No matter where you are seated relax and enjoy the food and ambiance
One of the servers were rude!
