Solterra Winery and Kitchen
The Land and Sea was amazing, sweet scallops cooked perfectly, and beef cheek braised to moist perfection
The chocolate cake and French press coffee was the choice finale to a terrific meal!
Food seemed stale and pre-prepared. I was very disappointed in the quality of the food.
Great restaurant and they went out of our way to make our anniversary special. Thank you!
Ordered a medium-rare steak and recieved a medium-well steak. For the price of the plate, it should have been cooked properly. Our favorite dishes of the night were the patatas bravas with avocado aoili, the hummus, and the ceviche. The wine was excellent and the service was excellent. Appreciated the pace of the night.
Solterra is a wonderful place to enjoy great wine and food!
Service was awesome 😍😍food delicious...Tomato soup a little salty 😝love this place and will definitely share with friends 😍
Solterra does not disappoint. Cuban sliders, mussels, charcuterie plate--all amazing. Great service on the front patio for six of us. I always make this a stop when I'm in Leucadia.
Great location-excellent happy hour menu and super wide range of wine selection, including wine from casks.
The service was great. It was really cold out and they sat us outside but all of their heat lamps were broken so it was tough to relax and enjoy the ambiance.
Great food and wine! We had the asparagus, surf and turf, quail, and all were excellent. The white wines and reds are of excellent caliber. Great local spot!
A definite must! Great wine, location, food pairing. We ordered the Rosè and Syrah, and charcuterie board. Wish we had more time to explore the winery, will definitely be back. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather and people watching. A bit of delay when ordering our second round and getting water refilled, but the staff was friendly and helpful.
Super slow service even though they weren’t busy. Food was decent and wine was good
The kitchen stopped making food at 830 half way through our meal ... bummer as it was a birthday dinner with out of town guests :(
am terribly sorry for your experience. We were very short staffed that evening due to an emergency. It was completely unacceptable and I feel terrible that this happened. Id like reach out with a large gift card to make it up but I never heard a response. My apologies once again and hope that you will come back in. Sincerely, Chris (Owner)
This winery/restaurant was woefully understaffed and 5 of our muscles didn’t open. We had to ask twice for a bowl to put the muscle shells in. We also ordered the raviolis which was rather expensive for 4 bite size pasta pockets! There are too many other Italian restaurants to try. We won’t be back.
I am sorry that you didn't have a better experience with us. We definitely had more customers than we anticipated on this evening and were understaffed. Apologies once again. Chris
Took the grandkids here for dinner - 3 and 6 yrs old! After a slow start waiting for the waitperson we were able to get some food for them quickly and dinner proceeded nicely following that - land and sea entree was great as was the wine.
Poor service, waitress didn’t pay attention, overcharged us, we were with out of town guests that we raved to about Solterra, complete disappojntment
Dinner was good. Service was a little slow, but on this particular night we didn't mind catching up with friends instead of being rushed. Our bill was a little higher than expected as none of felt the server explained the add-ons to the steak dish correctly.
Service was exceptionally slow how to re-fire our stake that never made it back out to the table. General manager ended up comping the bill but we mentioned we would never return
Live Solterra! Great wine, friendly staff, great vibe!
Going away party. Was fantastic. Food was great, wine was great, Cindy our server was fabulous!
Excellent service with a list of fine wines hard to beat in this area. All are friendly and the view, fresh air and food is a great way to spend an afternoon.
Good Food and Service! Very friendly and neat to visit and sit in the winery. Parking was street only but there were lots of spots.
Wonderful restaurant. The staff made it a great evening!
Nice spot for a date or to listen to some cool jams on the acoustic guitar, casual, no tie needed.
We wined. We dined. We wined. We dined.
We LOVED this place! I think our waiters name was Marc maybe.. he was amazing and so knowledgeable. The nicest employee in the cellar took the time to walk my friends and me through the entire wine making process. Will definitely go back.
We arrived for our reservation and waited for 30 minutes and nobody came to serve our table. This was even after I asked for our waiter. This was on Mother’s Day when it was clear we were there to celebrate our mom. A huge disappointment. I’ll never be back.
We had a wonderful experience there. It was our first time eating there on Mother’s Day. Max was an incredible server and made the entire experience that much better. We ordered wine made by them which was nice and the food was great. We will definitely be coming back!
Everyone that works here is amazing. The owner/wine maker came to our table to explain the wines. It’s amazing to listen to someone be so passionate about what they do. The servers were great and so funny. Great atmosphere.
I was never a fan of the wine and went there specifically for the food, which was universally delicious. Sadly, the chef was replaced last fall, and since then, the menu has changed for the worse. The Lamb Burger, Potatoes Bravos, and cauliflower were all amazing. Now, they are merely edible.
We love Solterra. This is our neighborhood go to spot for date night. We have been wine club members for many years and the staff always recognizes us. We always get a warm welcome and great service. Chris and management must treat the staff well because there has been a very stable crew ever since we joined. (Low turnover). We go for the wine and atmosphere, but the food is always great as well. Would recommend sitting outside if you want deep conversation as the bar area can get very busy in the evenings.
We are wine club members here and really love their wine, which is the only reason we stay. The food is eh, however. First of all, I am vegan and they have almost zero options (a salad of course) for me. They have made no effort to add any vegan items or even substitute items for something appropriate for a vegan. Even the non- vegan food is sub-par. My husband eats whatever and he doesn’t even order food when we go pick up our wine. Also, they don’t allow you to drink your wine that you pick up for the month while at the restaurant which defeats the purpose of even going to the restaurant for us.
Granted, it was a Tuesday night but they weren't offing a full menu and didn’t tell anyone. It should have been listed on Open Table as an advisory. In addition, seating was limited to just around the bar and I had hoped for a good business meeting gathering to close a deal. OBviously, what goes on at SOlterra on the weekend is a very different impression.
The kitchen must have been really backed up because it took forever to get our food. The portions are super small yet pretty expensive. I ordered the octopus and a flatbread and I left there hungry. The flatbread was pretty boring, no flavor and the dough was over worked and deflated. The octopus was fantastic though but skimpy with only 1 tentacle for the price there should have been more food. I mean seriously octopus is cheap. We’re not talking lobster here. Our waitress was accommodating and friendly. However when we asked for mustard with the lamb burger because my friend doesn’t eat cheese or mayo we were told there was no mustard in the entire restaurant. Yeah pretty hard to believe. Especially since everyone was still hungry and ordered the charcuterie plate which guess what it had on it....MUSTARD 🤦🏻♀️. The atmosphere was great and the staff was kind but I wouldn’t recommend it.
Our server think his name was Patrick was super nice but half a brain.
This is a nice restaurant with a great outdoor patio in the heart of Leucadia. The food is descent but not the best. If you are consuming a lot of wine, you'll probably be happy, but if you are coming strictly to eat, you will notice that the menu items are very diverse, but none seem very authentic. We had several small plates, all were decent but not spectacular. Patatas gravas was more like fried potatoes with some sauces, nothing like what you find in a tapas restaurant. The grilled octopus was steamed, not the charred, crispy kind you will find in good mediterranean restaurants. The scallops with risotto were good, but the risotto was runny and more like rice with a parmesan butter sauce. The creme brûlée was too sweet and more like a pudding. Overall, not too bad, but the service was very good. Our waitress was wonderful.
Amazing staff and great food!!
Relaxing venue, great food, top chef, talented musicians on weekends, warm staff.
We have had date nights, special occasions, friend’s get togethers and every day dining at Solterra and it’s always a treat. It’s intimate with wonderful service, delicious wine and food. We joined their wine club and it’s a favorite place that we love to go and always a great value if you love great wine and great food!
We love Solterra- great vibe, amazing wine and delicious food with great presentation.
