The Grove Wine Bar and Kitchen - Cedar Park
I was hoping for a romantic night out with my husband. Yet, the whole time I just wanted to get out of the daycare filled with crying babies.
The food was great. Our waiter was polite, courteous, Texas-friendly and very helpful. I'd recommend the restaurant based on food and service. The caveat:
The downside is the table for two was too small, allowing the restaurant to position tables too closely together. That meant it was difficult to have a quiet, personal conversation with anyone in my party, over a fairly noisy crowd. Overall, a taxing experience
Nice place. Good food. Good wine selection. Not as loud as it appears. Would frequent if we lived closer.
It's pretty nice experience this new place in Cedar Park.
It was a great environment loved my meal.
Server did not approach our table for about 10 minutes after we were seated. Service was prompt after that. Wine and food were excellent! Will definitely return.
They changed the Frose recipe, which I didn't love. Otherwise great as usual
Over all, pretty good. I had eggs benedict, which were good, eggs poached just right. Potatoes were tasty but few. Large coffee cups and good drip coffee .
Service was a little slow. Asked for "crispy bacon" and it came out limp. We ate off the crispy parts and did not complain. Waitress said she would have been happy to send it back for more.
Great service and friendly hosts. Enjoyed the food and drink.
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and decided to try the Grove for the first time. What a great experience! Our waiter William T. was so friendly, attentive and efficient. The ambiance was relaxed and casual, and the food and the wine list were amazing. My husband ordered the large Meat Lover’s pizza and was impressed. He had plenty left over to take home. I had the Cuban Press and really enjoyed it...great flavor, and the Grove’s homemade potato chips are crispy and fresh. I definitely recommend the Grove-Cedar Park and will be returning soon!
My wife and I loved our lunch there. Great food, service, price and ambiance! What more could you want? Going back next weekend with friends. Can't wait.
Great spot to meet a friend for wine and food and catching up.
I like the food, it's one of the few healthy fine dining places in Cedar Park. Every meal I've had there was wonderful except this last one; Fettuccine with shrimp and sausage. It was delicious, but extremely spicy which was not noted on the menu. I wouldn't order it again, simply for that. The only thing that bothered me and my two guests was how persistent our waitress was on us ordering our drinks upon seconds of sitting down, and then came every 2 min for our food order. My guests and I were trying to catch up, we thought perhaps once we ordered she'd settle down, but it continued. We all felt that there was a big push to turn the table. That I didn't like!
Sangria drink was awful- way too much pucker power. We added sugar to try and tame it down but it did not help. Food was tasty but should be a bit hotter in temperature.
We have gone here often. Nice restaurant.
We chose an outside table in the shade. Our waiter (Patrick) took very good care of us. I had bolognese and a small Caesar salad. My wife had the shrimp and a Reed salad. We enjoyed everything, and the evening temperature was just fine.
We sat 20 mins before waitress came back for order. Food was just okay tasting and overpriced for food. Drink was okay. Waitress was slow. Reservation was 645(we were a few mins early, seated quickly), didn’t get food until 730 pm.
Won’t be returning.
The Grove is always a great choice! The food is always delicious. The staff is so great! It’s my favorite place to go in Cedar Park/Leander.
Everyone was super friendly - the entire experience was wonderful. The food was amazing.
I've always enjoyed The Grove for lunch, but was a little disappointed with dinner. The food was great, but the menu is a little limited. Would have been a nice evening if the service was a little better. Waited a long time to be served and then kitchen forgot our dessert.
Nice ambiance sitting outside... I noticed an area on wood floor where ants were coming up from...You might want to check it out. Great service and good food.
Outstanding food as usual. Service much less than satisfactory. Second consecutive dinner with same server. He is polite but seems unfocused, looks less than comfortable and and makes being served by him frustrating. During our previous visit there was a lengthy disruption with diners in the adjacent booth over apparent irregularities with their bill which delayed his taking our order. During this latest dinner a bar item was not delivered as ordered. As we were ready for the check he was engaged in personal conversation with another diner over matters that seemed to have nothing to do with his duties. We finally got another waiter to bring our bill and found that he had double charged a bar order.
We have been frequent diners at Grove and will continue to dine there, but we will not accept this man as our server
The online menu needs to be updated. I wanted the vodka shrimp linguine.... this is still on the online menu but no longer available. The suggested selection was OK but not as good as the vodka shrimp linguini.
Service was excellent.
My first time at The Grove...the wife took me there for Father's Day. Great brunch selection...the chicken & waffles rules! At $5...the bloody mary bar is a heck of a deal. Planning on returning to sample some wines in the near future.
Food is consistently good. The pineapple upside down cake is out of this world. I'm not a fan of it usually, but this version from The Grove is just amazing. Try it. You won't be disappointed!
The chopped salad was 99% romaine lettuce with very little additions of chicken, avocado, bacon, egg, therefore, making it way overpriced. I did not like the way we had to electronically close out the check with the server’s handheld device. I could not see the itemized charges and I had to enter the tip while he stood over me.
This was my second visit. I enjoyed the evening. The waiter, food and atmosphere was great!
Good experience for a wine and appetizers Meetup with friends. The booths are a bit small so consider requesting a table if anyone in your party is on the bigger side. The avocado bacon tomato jelly bruschetta is super tasty!
The Grove was uncrowded yet we were seated right by the restrooms and coffee bar with glasses being stacked and washed. Our appetizer came out after our meal. Ambiance poor.
I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT! But this was one of those times that probably overwhelming for staff. It was packed. Took awhile to get service, which was a nice waiter (don't remember his name).
It was my fiancee second time there and I've been bragging about the spaghetti with meatballs for awhile, so we bought decided to have it.... Very disappointing: dry, tasted like was burned and cold... I did not say anything for the waiter because he was very busy and felt like he was knew on the job and tried his best to help everyone. Hope was just one bad cooking day. The cheese platter was great though Thanks!
Great food and service. Quiet but still lively atmosphere.
My date and I ordered two things off the menu, the waitress came back and said they were out.
Great menu choices. Great for date night or bring the kids. Nice outdoor seating.
I think i am used to eating lunch and dinner at the Grove bit this trip we had brunch.. selection was limited and not friendly to various dietary restrictions.
Mother’s Day. We love the Grove!
Great food and service. Our large group was treated like celebrities and never rushed. We loved it.
We arrived early to our reservation and the wait was not very long. Customer service was very good, and the food was terrific. We had a very nice time.
The food was good. We were seated closer to the cafe than the restaurant so the ambience was not really there. I would go again.
