Rick Erwin’s Nantucket Seafood
Wait staff was accommodating up until we received our apps. The sizzling skillet was delicious, however no one asked if we wanted to order dinner! Never have i experienced that.
The food wasn’t bad; it was just not great. I expected better. I was disappointed in my appetizer, Ceviche, which I have eaten in numerous restaurants. It came out in a dish soaking in lime juice, and yet did not seem like it had been in the lime juice long enough to “cook” it, but had a very strong lime flavor. It also should have been served with something ie crackers at the very least. My husband ordered Parmesan Encrusted Grouper. It was a very thick piece of fish and didn’t seem quite cooked in the center and he really couldn’t tell it had any Parmesan coating. My scallops were good, but not great. I recently had scallops at Coral’s, which I enjoyed more.
Amazing food! Great service will be back soon!
Love the shrimp and grits and old fashions!
Delicious food and great service. Perfect for our anniversary dinner!
The evening started off a little rough when the hostess greeted us with "do you have a reservation". She didn't look up from her stand in order to include a smile and eye contact. Prior to greeting us she also carried on a conversation with the other hostesses while we stood there being ignored. Once we got bast the lack of a welcoming greeting our service was outstanding. Jason was very personable and his great smile was a bonus. We did have to dine in the bar area and a couple of times the wait staff congregated at the end of the bar to carry on conversation about personal business. It was a little distracting.
We always enjoy Nantucket. The food is always perfect, the service is the best, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting! The owner "manages by walking about", always ready to answer a question or handle a problem. You can tell he cares about his business!
Expensive, but worth it for special occasions. Truly outstanding food.
Terrific food and atmosphere as always. Very pleased, look forward to going back.
Great food, service and ambiance. Our server’s recommendations were helpful and we were pleased with the choices. We had requested a window table, and that’s what we got. When we visit Greenville again, we’ll definitely plan a dinner here.
Everything was great and our server was very nice.
The only complaint I would have is, my girlfriend asked our server for a recommendation on wine to accommodate the seafood trio. For some reason he was offering a red. I feel as if for that kind of money being spent, the servers should be knowledgeable of what wine goes with what.
My wife and I celebrated here birthday. Jason, our server was exciting and informative.
The owner Rick came by our table and introduced himself as well.
The team also signed a birthday card which was very thoughtful
Our waiter Issac and his assistant were wonderful, very impressed
Everything is always great and any of Rick's places.
Had a great time.
Promptly seated. Wonderful wait staff, welcoming and personable. Sebastien was great. Never felt rushed. It took a good while for the bread to show up, but it was delicious. The rest of our meal was well presented and perfectly prepared. Definitely a great experience.
Our waiter, Shawn, and the entire staff made our 13th Anniversary special and one to remember. The food was amazing and we look forward to going back again soon!!
Not my normal RE Nantucket Grille experience. Reservations made but seated in the bar with a few teenagers and my wife. Noise level high. Server was nice but service was slow. Food was just okay. Not what I normally expect. All around average experience.
Excellent service. Food was very good.
We celebrate my husband's birthday and everyone had great time
Very nice night out at a great restaurant! Delicious meal, very attentive service!
To spend that amount of money at an upscale restaurant you would think they would no sit you by the service station. Our server seemed as if she would rather not be there. Other than that the food was excellent!
Took half an hour to get first round of drinks. Ordered two apps, “wagyu” carpaccio was disappointing with the arugula topping old and brown. An hour and a half into the dinner we were told we couldn’t place entree orders bc the kitchen was closing early. Had we known that we would have placed our orders earlier., but maybe this saved us from lackluster entrees as well. Very disappointing service for what I had heard was a quality restaurant. I guess staffing was an issue but if that was the case they shouldn’t have sat so many tables. Assuming it was a very off night but I would not go back.
Dined at the Nantucket grill on Sunday May 30, food and ambiance was excellent. Our server was courteous but appeared distracted, she forgot to bring the soup I ordered and the dessert took a long time to arrive. That being said, when brought to the manager attention he promptly got the items to the table and removed them from the bill. I would definitely recommend the restaurant for the quality of the food and ambiance.
Well service lacked a professional serving food and drinks
The four of us had a delightful meal. Lindsey, our server, was pleasant, good humored, and professional; the dining room is spacious and tastefully appointed. Every dish was delicious and just different enough from normal preparations to feel special: calamari, Craboyster Rockefeller, blackened swordfish, jumbo scallops, the Seafood trio, and especially my ciopino whose spicy, caramelized, tomato based broth was superb. Kudos.
Shrimp and grits - excellent. The lobster was a little overcooked as it was soft and came with no drawn butter. Key Lime pie was very good, however it came drizzled with a red sauce that was not mentioned on the menu, nor did it add value to pie. We also didn't think that the waitresses can by often enough, especially since it wasn't a very busy night.
Did like the idea that they do have actual 1/2 bottles of wine, rather wine poured in a glass flask.
My husband and I had dinner here last night. Service and Food were great as always. Rick Erwin himself stopped by our table to make sure everything was fine.
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was nice. After our meal was served we barely saw our waitress. We sat for 10 minutes without anything to drink. Our waitress finally came by and we ask for water. She never brought it. The manager came by and we asked him for more water. After a couple of minutes someone came by, sat it on the table and walked off. Our waitress was so busy carrying on a conversation with the people at the table across from us, she didn’t really have time for us.
Awesome service from Alyssa! The four of us each had a different entree and they were all exceptional! The ambiance was so relaxing and Aylssa was so knowledgeable and attentive. The manager also checks on you as well. The quality of food is impeccable. It's always a pleasure to dine with these wonderful people!!!!
It never disappoints!! Our favorite place - the food is always delicious and the service was impeccable!! The parmesan grouper and ahi tuna were wonderful. Highly recommend this restaurant always!!
Food was average. Some of the seafood wasn’t that fresh.
We were visiting Greenville for our anniversary and wanted to enjoy some seafood. The staff was very courteous and professional. Our waitress, Alissa, helped make our evening special with her great service and attention to detail. We ordered seared scallops and the grouper. Both were full of flavor and cooked to perfection.
The food and atmosphere were great. Sebastian was a great server too!
Always add a personal touch when it is a special occasion
The food was excellent, and our waiter was phenomenal. Will definitely be coming back.
Great environment for a quiter, date night, dinner. Also, great for a business dinner meeting or function. Food is great - quality cocktail and wine menu.
The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Isaac is a wonderful waiter who made celebrating our 41st anniversary extra special.
Hostess stand gals need some training. When I walk up to a hostess stand, I expect a friendly greeting. Or an acknowledgment. These two could barely be bothered to look up! I had to speak first and greet them. Nope. Don’t love that. Once they showed us to the table, it was five stars-great food, nice presentation and impeccable service. That first impression needs work though.
I always enjoy Nantucket. The food is very good and all of the people who work there treat you with the most hospitality! Thank you for another wonderful night!
