Birthday dinner/girl's night out started with an exceptional dining experience. Thank you for the wonderful service Sam, attentive and we never felt rushed or ignored. Every detail was just perfect. After reading so many reviews on seacoast eats we decided to try Massimo on Wednesday for my husbands Birthday and it was as wonderful as all the reviews said. Our waitress Bonnie was so attentive, very knowledgeable with the menu and wine and had a wonderful personality. We tried the Brussel sprouts toped with oysters which was my favorite our adult kids loved the meatballs and my husband loved the fig caprese. The four of us then split carbonara since it seemed to be everyone's favorite on Seacoast eats and OMG it was amazing !!! 3 of us had the veal chop which was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. My daughter had the Sunday gray and loved it :) Needless to say we had lots of leftovers:) I thought it was a very nice touch that the owner or manager went to every table to see how are food was. We can not wait to go back !!!!

Teagan was an incredible server. Enjoyed our evening including pear salad , short rib gnocchi, monkfish and scallop entree and topped off with peanut butter bomb dessert. It’s a must.

Excellent!

Despite (or because maybe partly because of...?) a more limited menu than some, Massimo’s is head and shoulders above the other Italian restaurants in the area. Execution of the dishes is superb and substitutions are allowed. Value for money is reasonable or good if you take the quality of the food into account. The service is excellent and the delightful Massimo made a point of speaking to all of his guests to make sure that they were enjoying their meal and had everything they wanted. Taking all these points into consideration, Massimo’s is one of the very best restaurants of all types in the area.

From the moment we arrive we were greeted graciously and then seated and all of our needs were met with excellent service as well as the service of the sommelier. The food was better than I had expected and the desserts were marvelous

Massimo is the best restauranteur in Portsmouth. He is receptive, attentive and engaged. He's not sitting at the bar of his restaurant. He is on his game and it shows. Outstanding food, service and atmosphere!

We had a wonderful meal and we loved the atmosphere! We ate downstairs in a cozy brick alcove with a cute chandelier which felt romantic and fun. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious! Definitely will return in the future!
