Amazing food Amazing service ! My new favorite Sunday brunch place
Great place to dine located in Paterson!!! I would love to give this place five stars however the waiter was really nasty and rude. Provide training for your wait staff and this will really be a great place to dine. The food was fresh and delicious. Strong drinks not watered down but again your wait staff ( one person ) is very nasty
Sunday Brunch
We were a group of eight attending brunch with some friends that came down from DC for the weekend. The food was delicious and a great variety was present to choose from. The service was wonderful, with our waiter stopping by every once in a while to see if we needed anything. Overall I would recommend the brunch to anyone for a great gathering!
Restaurant is beautiful. Host was very nice. Food was good, portions were large, we all took half home. At a certain point, around 7:30pm, a DJ set up and dance music was playing and people showed up to hang by bar. It was a Friday night so I'm guessing at a certain point it becomes a club atmosphere. Overall a great place. Would definitely recommend.
Very strange that NOT one person was there on a Saturday night for dinner from 6 to 7:30pm. My friend and I were the only two people there the whole time.
Wonderful decor and a pleasant and professional staff.
Service & Sunday Brunch were excellent. Only complaint was that Open Table never notified the restaurant with our reservation. After some rearranging the staff was able finally able to accommodate our party.
Last time we were here, the food was great but the service was very slow.
This time the service was much, much better... the food being the same terrific quality as we had before.
Excellent mussels in zesty marinara sauce, arugula salad with crunchy goat cheese and pears, shrimp risotto, and shrimp and scallops over linguine.... All very very good.
We used a Groupon and it's well worth it.
Not sure how our waiter handles his duties, seeing him running upstairs, tending bar/making drinks and being the only waiter in the place... or so it seemed. Nice job tonight!
We looked for a place to have the family for Sunday brunch on Mother’s Day. We were luck to find Riverside Manor. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the service was great. The buffet offered a nice variety of hot dishes, salads omelet station and carving station. Everyone in the family was very happy we chose this place. I’m planning on coming back one night for dinner when the crowds aren’t there to try the menu items.
Service was not good. Main entree was fair at best.
Have gone many times. Enjoy it but seems that wait staff has been less attentive in our past few times there. Used to be right there to refill your coffee or clear your plate, now it seems you have to hunt them down or look for them to get them to come over.
The food is good but the service left a lot to desire as they only had two attendants and the restaurant had a good number of people even on a Sunday
The food was amazing and the portions are great. The only thing I would improve is the service. The waiter could've been a bit more attentive and friendlier, but I won't let that stop me from returning.
Do not have one negative thing to say about our experience. Extremely satisfied with EVERYTHING!
We came here with a Groupon, so let's get that out of the way. Still, the entire menu was available, where in some places what you can order is restricted and not everything on the menu is available to order.
I do have a couple of gripes, but overall, the food was very, very good. The service, while very friendly, was pretty slow. There were only three tables occupied, although there was a Christmas party going on upstairs, so maybe that was why things were slow. Happily we're retired and were in no hurry to get anywhere, so I probably shouldn't complain.
We shared the mussels in a zesty marina sauce, which were as good as any I've ever had. (Not one bit of sand.)
For my entrée I had the braised short ribs with mashed potatoes and veggies. The beef was nice and tender... an excellent tomato bases sauce and the potatoes were smooth and creamy.
My wife had the lobster ravioli and sparingly allowed me a little corner of one of the raviolis. Very tasty, if I do say so myself.
We ended with a Tiramisu... which also was very very good.
Overall, we liked The Riverside Manor very much.
One other little 'issue' we had was the wine. They do pour you a nice glass of wine (remember... we had a Groupon) Their house red. Trouble was, it was cold... but cold like it came out of the refrigerator cold.
Note to Riverside... Red wine should be stored (and served at about 50 to 65 degrees... give or take a few degrees.
But will we go back? Absolutely!
Food was excellent and more than plentiful. With a Groupon it was an excellent bargain. Although the restaurant was rather empty, the waitress was very pleasant but seemed over worked and not as attentive as we would have liked.
Watch your check at the Sunday Buffet. They add the gratuity to your bill even when there is only two people in your party. I almost tipped on top of the already added tip until I went back and looked a second time.
I, for the life of me cannot figure out why more people have not discovered this fabulous restaurant. It is convenient to get to, right off of the Fair Lawn main streets, beautifully decorated, food is delicious, comforting and creative, service polished, attentive but not overbearing, and very enjoyable in so many ways. Do yourself a huge favor and visit this gem. You will thank me for it!
The place was nice and big. Went with a Groupon but didn’t realize it was a specific menu. Nothing was mentioned in the Groupon fine print, normally if there is a special menu it’s shown on the Groupon. The only uncomfortable thing was that the place was completely empty (Thursday night) which was magnified by the fact that it is a large dining area. The food was decent and the waitress was very nice.
Everything was delicious from the appetizers to the dessert! The red sangria was excellent. We liked the ambiance & the good service. We will definitely be back & will bring friends with us!
Very good. Nice views. Service very fast
We have been here several times over the past couple of years. We have attended the Brunch which is fantastic, open dined, and attended two formal affairs all leading to the same 5 star rating. Food is consistent, service excellent, ambiance beautiful and comfortable. I highly recommend.
Brunch was delightful. Good choices, not just breakfast items. Delicious salsa, tilapia, rice option
I would definitely recommend the Riverside Manor. The food is very good. The prices are reasonable. The restaurant is nicely decorated and very clean.
Sunday brunch, although generally crowded, is always satisfying. The food is very good and the variety is excellent. It is a very positive, friendly atmosphere. Because it is so popular, be sure to make a reservation!
Great Italian food! Great service reasonably priced
FOOD AND SERVICES WAS GREAT. I WILL GO BACK. I WILL LET ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY KNOW.
The food was excellent. We had the filet bruchetta and the stuffed mushrooms to start. Both excellent. We both had pasta. Great meal?
Honestly best kept secret. Absolutely loved the pasta dish & appetizers.
Great service
Tried this restaurant for brunch for the first time. Overall we were very impressed with the quality for the price. Would definitely go for brunch again.
Excellent service
Food delicious.... better than expected
This restaurant is just okay and, if you have good Italian close to you, then no need to travel! The ambiance is as mismatched as the menu--everything from casual to upscale. There was nothing stellar and we didn't even take the leftovers...it was very flat and non-remarkable. We have a certificate, but will not be back to use it.
The place was awesome , food was great, aand the place looks nice, the prices are great too.
I loved this place Ibought a groupon we had a bottle of wine 2 pasta dinner and 2 deserts we ate dinner inside had desert outside so those who smoke can have a relaxing time with a drink. I will go there again.
The attention to the kids always great
Restaurant is beautiful, well maintained and romantic
Historic building with interesting spaces. Food was phenomenal and beautifully presented
Wait staff was charming and well trained. A real find for groups or dates. I loved every minute of my dining experience and will definitely be back!
We had a voucher from living social for a 7 course meal with wine pairing. When I made the reservation over the phone I made sure I mentioned the voucher so that there would be no issues with preparation. When we got to the restaurant we were seated directly next to a big family party with children running all over the place. We asked to be re-seated since 80% of the restaurant was empty and we were moved to a tall bar-like table. Then when our server came to begin the order we told him that we were there for the 7 course special. A confused look came over his face and he told us he'd be right back. 5 minutes later the restaurant manager came out to us and said "No one mentioned this to me." We explained to him that we told the receptionist when we made the reservation over the phone that morning. He quickly responded, "Well, I'm the manager and no one told me." With apparently no other option we politely left the restaurant, tipped the valet for the whole 10 minutes we were there and went to a much more service oriented restaurant.
I guess the manager believes that his staff couldn't possibly make a mistake. But instead of saying something like, "I'm sorry about that, perhaps my staff forgot to tell me. Let me see what I can do for you.", he decided to be rude and say, "Well, I'm the manager and no one told me."
Sorry, just lost my business.
