   This was a very disappointing dining experience. We have frequented here in the past but will not be back after this experience. The menu changed with less options, the prices jumped significantly, it took 1 1/2 hours to get our meal, the wine pour was very small with the price big (although when I mentioned it to the waitress, she brought me another), when the food came it was only luke warm and it wasn't fantastic tasting. I will say the piano player was enjoyable to listen to.

   Easy to get a seat around 6 pm. Service was very nice, our waitress was super at running down answers. My fish and chips were excellent. Batter crisp, but not heavy. Really good. Recommended red skin potatoes instead of fries was an ok change. My date had Panko white fish and was horrible. "Fishy" taste overwhelmed any seasoning or Panko taste. Tells me it was old or poorly maintained. White fish shouldn't be that. My Manhatten drink was watery. Little bourbon taste for the $10. Wine list was a number of $8 to $13 store bottles at $9 a glass or $40 a bottle. A little worse than the normal 2x or 3x for restaurant pricing. Calamari app was really good actually. Great sauce for it. Decent beer alternatives, waitress did me a solid to grab a preferred beer from the sister Pig and Whiskey bar next door.

   The waiter forgot our order and had to come back to ask again what we had ordered 20 minutes later. Instead of offering something to compensate us for our patience we were overcharged for a entree we ordered off the special menu (charged $4 more than the listed price). Food was very good, especially the white fish. Service was poor and hopefully that was because of the waiter we had and not a reflection of the entire staff.

   I had not been to Rockefellers before, and I would certainly go back. Michael was our server, and he was excellent and very attentive but did not hover. It was a special occasion(85th birthday), and the kitchen was very accommodating with desserts, candles etc. The chef even came out, introduced himself and gave us a complimentary plate of fish pate which was yummy. And the fried oysters were superb!! The atmosphere was perfect. It reminds me a little bit of P.J. Clarke's in NYC which was always a favorite!!

   My waitress was excellent . The food was not worth the price you are charging. Selection for dinner not worth coming back for. After telling several friends, most said that you are known for your burgers not for dinner. We made the best of it. Reading the history online I expected a fine dining experience . In addition you advertise that you are located in Grosse Pointe. The sign outside said Grosse Pointe Park. Deceptive. I really was disappointed. Sylvia Greene

   Went to Rockefeller's for Valentine's day. We got there before our reservation so we had a chance to get a drink at the bar, and listen to the live piano music. The bar atmosphere was very nice the bartender (Jeff) was great! we were seated on time for our reservation, we got an app. (fried oysters) they were very good. we ordered a NY strip steak and salmon. the steak was okay tender, but a bit fatty. The salmon was also good, but had too much sauce with it. all in all the flavor of the food was great and the atmosphere is very nice. great place for a night out for a date.

   We really liked rockefellers!!the service was a bit slow but we really enjoyed the food. My husband got an oyster burger and raved about it!

   The clam chowder was great, but the fried oysters were so-so. The updated crab louie was nice. Overall, nothing outstanding. We were there on a very busy night, and so the service was not good, but then again, they were overwhelmed by customers and general chaos. Would I go back? Maybe. However, there are better seafood restaurants around town.

    Alway great food. Friendly atmosphere with great service and super waitstaff. The drinks are great too. The diversity of entertainment and patrons, makes this a excellent choice for lunch or dinner.

    The portions were nice, the food was also nice. The only thing I would have liked to see was a more expansive menu specifically a broader seafood selection. Other than that... thumbs up.
