Everything was great! The food was delicious and the server was excellent! We will definitely be back!
What’s the point of a reservation if you’re not going to get seated when and where you asked for.
They ran out of wings extremely early into the night. The service was not up to standards due to the fact our waiter had and enormous amount of tables to try to accommodate every party.
The phone wasn’t bad, but the service was terrible. I waited for 30 minutes from the time I asked for the check to when I had the receipt in hand. Our waiter was overwhelmed while he tried to manage the entire outdoor section, and make drinks behind the bar. Disappointed
Birthday dinner was great! We enjoyed a nice dinner and drinks on the outdoor patio with the most gorgeous weather
Seated outside on patio. Asked to move to an outer table as 3 were open. We were told that they were all reserved for their VIP members (?) that requested those specific tables, and all would be arriving within 15 minutes. Fifty minutes later, as we were finishing our dinner, all 3 tables were still open. We went to Kilwins across the courtyard after dinner and watched as all 3 tables remained open for another half hour. Service was slow and spotty. No bread basket was offered or given. Food was just OK. Won’t be running back to dine at Roost anytime soon.
Great place for brunch!
We had a reservation for a high top table near the windows because outside was booked. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to be given a table outside by the fountain! Our waiter was extremely friendly and polite (y’all young man with red hair, I cannot remember his name!!). We love eating there and it was the perfect date night. Thank you!!
Server was nice and friendly. Manager stopped by table to see how food, service, etc was....
Wings without any sauce were available and very tasty! Brussel Sprouts were also excellent veggie of the day. Flat iron steak cooked to order. Broccoli Caesar was authentic
Food was delicious, as always. Service was excellent and everyone was friendly and pleasant.
All was very good, great table outside, good COVID-19 practices.
We were in town on business and looking for a good outdoor opportunity. This looked promising. It was a beautiful evening and the outdoor covered seating area with a water feature overlooking a courtyard and active Main St. were perfect.
Food was very well prepared. Prices were reasonable. Service was good, the staff was pleasant and used appropriate PPE. A few miss-steps on side plates and a missing steak knife but we were having a leisurely evening off so it really didn't impact our experience.
Looking forward to stopping by again the next time I'm in Greenville.
Our waiter was not focused and made us feel neglected.
The food, drinks, and especially our waiter was amazing!
The food and service were great. Very impressed with the restaurant and our server.
Delicious gluten free food
Service and ambiance was great. All meals were sub par. Chicken was undercooked, carbonara was bland, steak came out under cooked and then came out unseasoned. The only good thing about the whole evening was the queso dip.
Birthday dinner. Visiting from PA shrimp and grits were amazing! Thank you!
Sitting outside by the wall of water we took our time and enjoyed all of our delicious meals. Our waiter was fantastic and did not rush us, but was attentive. We arrived at 6:30 on a Saturday evening and by the time we left all the outdoor tables were taken.
always a great place for lunch or dinner...club is excellent!
Our first restaurant visit since the pandemic began, and well worth the wait. Outdoor seating far from anyone, and the usual first-rate food.
Great outside seating with plenty of distance between tables. Thank you for wearing masks.
Food was great! Service was great!
We had just a few drinks on the outside patio, which was perfectly set with distancing for the virus. The live music was great, the service nice and comforting. The water-fountains in front are a great display, only drawback is a bit of a noise impact.
Great atmosphere. Food above average, great portions
I appreciated the care taken to ensure the safety of the customers and staff of the restaurant. The service was outstanding and the limited menu was comprehensive enough to allow each of us to make a good choice. The food was excellent as well.
The food was amazing and the service was top-notch. I had the bacon wrapped meatloaf and it was delicious. If you are ever in Greenville you need to check Roost out!
Wonderful Sunday brunch before the SEC WBB Finals. Great service, good food and drink and amazing view!
We got there before our reservation but the hostess worked some things out & we got a table. The waiter was wonderful! Drinks were good. We got the dry run wings and tacos. None of us cared for the tacos-shells I think were the problem. The dry rub was very strange- I ate only one. We would got back, but order different food.
We are vegetarian and ordered the white flat bread - Excellent - crisp yet chewy crust and good toppings. The zaghetti and quinoa meatballs were good but I would have doubled "pasta" and halved "meatballs". Fettuccini dish with mozzarella was lukewarm and server said it should have been hot. He took $10 off our bill so that was nice. Overall we would return to this good casual hotel restaurant. Also very good wine list!
I was not expecting a buffet but was pleasantly surprised at the choices. The grits were great as was the fried chicken.
We had the Sunday brunch. It was pricey for brunch, but it was a special occasion. So, many choices and everything was delicious. For sure order the waffles!
Chicken and Dumplings dish was not good. Manager gave us an appetizer credit as a result, but the dish was a true disappointment. Masaman Curry was delicious. Service person was very attentive.
Great food and service was excellent I wish I could remember her name.
Our waiter was very unprofessional. He was loud, and seemed he had been smoking illegally. This is the third time I have been to roost and have been disappointed. I will not be returning here.
This was our first time at Roost and we were not disappointed - the service was great, the food & drinks were excellent and the atmosphere was moderately quiet even though the restaurant is located in a hotel lobby area...everything was delivered on-time, in the right temperature & the plating was great. We will definitely be coming back to Roost.
We had a 6pm reservation for a 7:30 concert at The Well, and it appeared that the majority of the restaurant had the same plan. Our drinks were seldom refilled; it took an hour to get our food. We had six separate checks and even while asking for them when our meals arrived, we had to wait to get them and to process. Our food was hot - fresh from the kitchen - and tasty, but it appeared the staff was completely overwhelmed for the number of guests and tables trying to get to the show. I’ll go back, but not when trying to get to a concert.
Very disappointed in these last several visits to Roost, and this most recent visit was the worst.
Slow service and the food was cold when it finally did come out. We arrived at 6:00pm, ordered at 6:15pm, and food took over an hour to arrive. Caused us to miss the opening act of the concert we were going to.
Booth seating is limited and appear to be six tops, leaving all other tables in an open exposed relatively loud area. The ceiling is a hodge podge of random ceiling tiles and duct work, I think designed to look modern and urban but it misses the mark. The food was good but not anything I would tell others about. My wife had the steak tacos each of which contained three large, dry and chewy chunks of steak; she got thru two of three. I had their bbq’d pork and grits, which gets an A for creativity. The cheese grits were creamy and spot on. The pork unfortunately tasted microwaved, lacked smokey-ness and had little taste. The wait staff was very professional and perfectly friendly.
