Great menu, but poor execution. Service wasn’t great.

We visited for Restaurant week and it was great! Loved the menu options and the heated outdoor dining, such a pretty view.

We dined during restaurant week and choose from that menu. All good except the chicken piccata pasta. Very bland, not much picatta sauce or flavor.

Ordered the charcuterie plank which never came. Beet carpaccio needed acidity buy was good. Shrimp and grits, while tasty, was very much a one note dish. The ham in the grits was over cooked while the meager serving portion of shrimp was cooked perfectly. My wife’s duck breast was way over cooked, that poor duck died in vain. The sea salt caramel brownie was just okay but the ice cream served with it was delicious. Apparently Roost rolled out the duck for Restaurant Week. They should stick to doing food items the kitchen know how to prepare to put a best foot forward for the event.

Visited for Restaurant Week to give Roost another chance. Both the duck and steak were tough and unimpressive. The ambiance is nice and enjoyed the live music, but wouldn't return for the food.

The food was delicious and a nice size portion. They do a good job distancing the tables. Very pleased with the service as well. Would definitely recommend for a birthday or date night. Parking is easy also inside the deck at Hyatt Regency.

I’m sorry to say we felt under valued by our serve, the food wasn’t good, and the price was on the high side. I realize it is hard to find help on or around holidays. We were disappointed in our service.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. We went for the Christmas buffet, but found they were unable to put out the buffet due to COVID. No worries. They offered a wonderful menu that was just as well prepared and satisfying. The prime rib was exceptional.
Our waiter couldn’t have been better, and the service was exceptional.

We had a very enjoyable dinner over looking main street on the patio which was enclosed with heaters. Enjoyed it so much will be back next week.

I was put in the far back by the hostess and waited approx. 20-25 minutes for service before I was served, although the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. While there being waitresses and waiters walking past me, I didn’t receive service until the manager talked to them about me. Due to the long wait, I was served a complimentary drink and salad. And the waiter was very nice to check on me.

Food was great and service was excellent. Roost had a very good cocktail and wine list and overall vibe of the place is laid back casual and southern charm. While they don’t cater exclusively to vegetarians and vegans, they do have some great options and are willing to work with you. One of our new go to spots.

Everything was great except for the temperature in the space kept fluctuating from hot to cold.

Excellent food and terrific service. Social distancing was very good and the restaurant has large, high ceiling spaces with very good airflow so we felt very comfortable.

We had a wonderful plated Thanksgiving meal at Roost. The food was well prepared and plentiful. The service was great and it is a very spacious restaurant for social distancing. Great place to go over the holidays and view the decorated Christmas trees in the Hyatt lobby.

Great server - we were outside and they have heaters so the temps were....um varied... but fine. Hard to control in that environment.

I booked here for a safe outdoor option during COVID only to find out that they put up a tent over their outdoor seating and it can to be opened for proper ventilation. Not a good option during COVID and I wish this was communicated - booking an outdoor table is not really outdoors

Didn't realize this was a hotel restaurant. Exactly what i expect out of a hotel. Decent food. Overpriced. Server was great

The food continues to average at best

Our celebratory lunch prior to the Clemson graduation ceremony for my son could not have been nicer, and I thank Roost for the memorable experience that it was. Our table was ready and waiting, the server was top notch and friendly, the food was great. Couldn’t ask for more.

We enjoyed our dinner. My son is vegan and absolutely loved his curry dish. I ordered the Scottish salmon and it was cooked perfectly. My husband also really enjoyed his burger. Our server had a great sense of humor. I felt the wine was really overpriced, other than that, we had a great experience at Roost!

Great brunch place with great service would definitely recommend.

Wonderful lunch at Roost to celebrate a birthday. Food and service were excellent. Scenery of downtown Greenville was an added plus.
