Roy's Jacksonville Beach

Roy’s is our favorite place to dine for special occasions. Tonight we celebrated birthdays missed and some next week with special friends. Everything was delicious and service exceptional. Definitely planning our next visit! Roy’s does not disappoint.

Anna was an excellent waitperson and the Monday $39.99 special was outstanding. Hope they continue the event.

Great service and good food. Chef Pam puts her flair on old and new dishes, a little touch of curry to lobster bisque elevates an old classic.

Every time I go to Roy’s, and I have been many many times over the years, they NEVER disappoint !! The staff, the food, the service , the WHOLE experience is on point!! Hands down one of the best restaurants around!!

In this current environment, the restaurant did an excellent job of protecting its employees and patrons by having socially-distanced tables and all staff wore masks.

Favorite restaurant

My first time there; very disappointed. We arrived and were seated at 6:20pm. The restaurant was not crazy busy but we didn't get our dinners until 7:15. Our server avoided us knowing we weren't happy.

The service was awful, extremely slow. We were seated in a back room and I honestly think they forgot about us. It was embarrassing as we had brought friends there who we had told how great the place was! Took over 2 1/2 hours for our dinner. To be fair, once we got our food it was ok although the filet mignon was cold and when asked for more sauce for it, the waitress FINALLY brought salt and pepper instead! Overall very disappointing and somewhat embarrassing after we had talked about how great the place was!

We went for mahola Monday and it was so good. The only criticism was that the scalloped potatoes were a little burnt underneath. But my filet, lobster, ribs and pineapple upside down cake were excellent. We will definitely be back.

We were looking for an upscale Christmas evening. We've been to Roys in Jax Beach before and thought we would get a great experience. Overall, it was good but there were several things that missed the mark.

First, the restaurant was not decorated for the holidays. The atmosphere was kind of dark and not festive.

Since we had a group of 5. We were put in the back room. It was darker and more crowded than the rest of the restaurant.

As the meal progressed, our waitress informed us that they were out of the chocolate torte. Not sure how that happens with a limited menu and reservations.

Overall, the food was really good. Service was very good too. Just wish it was more festive.

My first time at Roy's. Very nice restaurant. The food was delicious. So happy it wasn't too crowded considering it was Christmas Day.

Excellent experience, food was five star, service was excellent, our server was very attentive.
We ordered the Chateaubriand, it melted in you mouth. Salad and dessert were also outstanding.
We will certainly be returning!

Christmas day dining can be a challenge, but not at Roy's. We both had the macadamia crusted Mahi, and highly recommend it. Also the lobster bisque--excellent.

Went on Christmas Eve 2020. It was very quiet in the restaurant, maybe 40% full. 3 of 4 meals were disgusting. We got the Shellfish Sampler, NY Strip Steak and the Kazu Chicken. The steak was cooked medium and ate like shoe leather. The chicken had no flavor or seasoning and the Shellfish Sampler was over cooked and dry. Shame on me for not speaking up! $235 for dinner and we would have enjoyed eating at Outback next door more. Not going back again.

The seafood medley that was supposed to include lobster shrimp, & scallops, only had one medium-sized scallop, & three small shrimp.

Holiday dinner with friends. The “only” negative is that our server was not familiar with the special menu offerings that are sent out by Roy’s corporate office. This should be communicated at the beginning of each shift as well as any other menu specials that are available.

First time eating at Roy’s since I moved into the area four years ago. Thought about eating there in the past, but for one reason or another hadn’t gotten around to it yet. But I sure wish I had done it sooner. My fiancé and I decided to eat there together for both of our first times. The food was excellent. The ambience was great and the service was great. It exceeded our expectations

Anna provided excellent service and the food was delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked and the bonus was the pineapple upside down cake with coconut ice cream is a must!!

First time visiting Roy's and we were not disappointed. Excellent beef short ribs...melt in your mouth. Great wine pairing with main course. Excellent service by Violet!
