Roy's Woodland Hills
Great evening al fresco due to COVID. Everything was wonderful!
Delicious food. Great environment. Service not quite what was expected.
Great food and service.
Roy's was where we wanted to have our 55th Wedding Anniversary dinner. It was well worth it.
The food was great and so was the service
On a late afternoon of 113 degrees for outdoor dining in Woodland Hills, Roy's actually made this one of our favorite anniversaries in 28 years. They allowed us to put two tables from the bar across from each other at a social distance, so friends could join us safely. The food was, as usual, terrific - a filet mignon, two different kinds of fish, and chicken katsu. And they gave us a special anniversary cheesecake to go with pineapple upside down cake. Roy's is the best.
Made last minute reservation for our anniversary , and as usual this place is always espectacular ! My lovely wife loves this place and she didn’t know we were going here and she was amaze with the the outdoor seating . , our server was busy but he took good care of us. My wife is pregnant so she was craving lobster bisque soup and her shellfish platter was just perfect . My short rib wasn’t that great , needed a bit more flavor but I still enjoy it . What I like the most about Roy’s it’s you always take serous special occasions and that it’s to admire . Over all it’s our place to be and we definitely be back soon
had an amazing anniversary dinner thank you to the roys team at woodland hills
Poor food quality. Very clearly all the food is prepped way in advance and just warmed up. Disappointing to say the least. One appetizer couldnt be eaten (boiling hot one end and freezing cold the other) and the short ribs were dry, bland, reheated-sent back as they were inedible.
nice seating outside. They did a great job setting up an outside dining area.
Food is always excellent at Roy's and so is the service. They have made the outdoor dining lovely and really a dining pleasure. I feel very safe eating there.
Generally we were impressed with their setup and service considering the outdoor dining restrictions due to COVID-19. The only real negative was that we were seated fairly close to a large group party who during the initial arrival / gathering stage were very bad at staying at or near their tables and ended up spreading out closer to other guests than I would have liked. The group party guests were frequently closer to other guests than 6 feet but at least they were all wearing masks. I would have liked to see either more space assigned to this large party or more insistence from management to keep the group confined to their designated space. Once this party sat at their tables the evening was great. The staff was attentive and helpful and made for a wonderful anniversary dinner.
Server had to be reminded 2 and 3 times for water, a straw, another bottle of wine, napkins, etc. Nice guy but NOT attentive and lacks memory.
Hostess was rude and sent us to Flemings when I asked for the entrance to your establishment. Did not seat us nor send server right away.
outside dining was great!! wait staff was on point..
Everything was perfect. I didn’t even realize that I was in a parking lot. The food was as good as ever. All of our servers were still there and it was wonderful seeing them. The weather was perfect, the crowd distanced but friendly. This was perfectly the safest and best environment. I’m going again next week with friends. I completely recommend roys alfresco dining this summer.
Had a wonderful birthday celebration. The staff was accommodating and alert to our special requests.
For the price, the portions were small and nowhere compared to Mastros for value and menu.
Our server however was awesome!
Service was super slow and food quality was not to the typical Roy's standard. Most likely a result of limited staff/chef and the COVID challenges of outdoor dining. Probably wouldn't recommend until Roy's is back to normal dining operations
Roy’s staff provided excellent service and the meal was exemplary as well. COVID-19 it’s ugly voice to better thoughts.
Dinner with a friend.
Everything great was great but, unfortunately, the Mahi Mahi was very mediocre in taste.
Nice to be out of quarantine - service was excellent and they take many precautions. Definitely recommend dining there.
Loved the social distancing with tables and the attention paid to safety.
I have been a long term customer of Roy's, one of my favorite restuarants, however under the current restrictions mandated by the corona virus, the life was sucked out of me and my parties experience. The staff did their best under the circumstances, but what used to be an energetic environment was very sedate. Also one of the main offerings on the menu which is the favorite of one of my party members was sold out, the Chilean Sea Bass, how do you sale out of this item when the restaurant had about a third of the capacity in the dining room!
Food was amazing and the service and experience was 5 stars
Made reservation and was told that they didn’t get it in there end and did not get to eat!!! Idk why
Our waiter Daryl was awesome. He made the dinner that much better
Everything is always good at Roys. We go often and always have a pleasant time and delicious meal.
Roy's was wonderful. My husband and I went for this birthday on Saturday and sadly the restaurant was empty due to this "virus." Anyway, the service was amazing and the food was great as always. I had the sea bass and I keep thinking about it because it was so good!!
Always a great dinner. Delicious tasting food like the canoe for two, large prawns, fish etc. Great drinks and desserts.
Anniversary celebration. Made Feel like king and queen.
Very over-priced. Spicy dishes not noted on menu. Dishes with cheese not noted on the menu. Very poor value for the high exorbitant prices. Very uncomfortable chairs. Springs visibly poking out on most chairs since chair padding was so thin. Roy’s....Get new chairs for the sake of your customers. It’s embarrassing that they would allow springs to be visible on so many chairs. My husband could hardly sit any longer after the meal and left during dessert because he was so uncomfortable.
Must have new chefs. The sauces weren’t up to past standards. Everything else was good.
The restaurant was half full, no doubt because of the flu scare, but still it took an hour from ordering to eating. I ordered the sea bass but I was disappointed at the less than 2” x 2” filet. But nonetheless it was delicious. The butterfly fish was also amazing. Out the door it was easily over $100 per person not including gratuity.
The pork chop was overcooked and dry. It took quite a while before our food was served
There was definitely a problem in the kitchen. We waited at least an hour before our meals were served and the all of the meat dishes w ere over-cooked beyond being edible. The restaurant would have been better served by just closing for the evening. They certainly made no friends with the garbage meals that were served to everyone
As you can see we have been there many time with my now 94 year old Mom. The waitress was nice but the service was way to slow. Almost an hour between drinks and main dish not apps. Mom loved her steak. The veggie option, mash potatoes way to salty. There was also a price difference between the menu and what came in the bill.
For these resigns we may consider other options for fine dining.
