   Maybe it was the bougelais wine, maybe the pairing of wild rice and glazed carrots, but my sea bass was the best I’ve ever had!!! And I’m a steak guy!!!

   Had to return a dish because it was over cooked and the sauce and become gloopy. They remade it and the poached egg was still over cooked and the sauce was not any better. This place had really gone down hill.

   The Mother’s Day Brunch was certainly not what we expected. The service was good and the food was ok- it just wasn’t anything to write home about. Though it was called a fixe prix brunch, we were limited to selecting a breakfast or dinner entree and even coffee was considered an á la carte item with additional fees. When we arrived a few minutes before our reservation- the staff was still setting tables. The experience truly did not meet our expectation.

   The food was good, the ambience was nice and the server was friendly. However, the server forgot to serve us one of the courses. The food is overpriced. I spent half a month’s rent. I will not return.

    Crab cakes were delicious and service was excellent. Dinner? Three tablespoons of fish was called an entre and the pasta was a pasty stuck together casserole not the Pappardelle that was described. When eating at a premium priced restaurant you feel taken advantage of. I'm hoping this was just a bad night but the kitchen seemed amateurish.

    We always celebrate our anniversary at the Rugby Grill as our wedding reception was at the Townsend 23 years ago. We missed the special touch of rose petals on the table and a card wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Please consider doing this. By the way, Jessica was awesome!

    Rugby Grille was a delightful and full dining experience. From the moment we walked into the elegant lobby up until we were seated at our exact reservation time. Our waitress was sweeter than sweet and very familiar with the menu. We were never rushed and honestly found our waitress to be so helpful.

    We had a lovely evening celebrating two university graduations. The location of the table had pluses and a minus. The positives: it was next to windows so we had natural light and it was far enough away from the rest of tables that we could easily hear each other talk. The negative was that it was snugged up to both the wall on one side and a massive column on the end. This meant that for two people in our party, their seat was most easily accessed by squeezing between the pillar and the window. The drinks, bread and starters were all amazing. The salads were also excellent. We ordered two homemade pasta dishes for the table to share and these were both delicious. Two in our party had filet. Their filets were presented and cooked to order but both found the flavor of the meat to be bland. We shared warm homemade chocolate chip cookies with ice cream and an order of bread pudding. These were excellent as well. Overall, a great experience.

    My wife and I attended Easter Brunch, which was a prix fixe menu with a good variety of selections. Nothing met our expectations. The hostess was sloppy and uninviting. The food was cold - except for the salad course, which was a little wilted and room temperature. My wife's carrot cake was "deconstructed" to the point of being a pile of carrot shavings and a pile of gelatin. The service, while pleasant, was not up to par. I ordered a Woodford Reserve Manhattan on the rocks but received just a double pour of Woodford on (too much) ice. We had asked for a correction of some type with every course by that point, so I did not send the drink back. I just made a note that we would not be back.

    Had a 11:30 reservation and had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. They were seating other tables with hotel guests who just walked up. This is understandable to a point but if you are going to charge me per person for not being there within 15 minutes of reservation time (per open table) then keeping me waiting 45 minutes is not ok. They kept telling us a few more minutes and the kitchen was just running behind or they were bussing our table so we didn’t know to just go somewhere else. Once we were seated the service was good.

    We were very excited to try this place regardless of the high prices but the food unfortunately was the worst I have ever had at such upscale restaurant. We started with crab cakes, beef tips, charcuterie board, Caesar salad and fish. The only good thing that I could eat was the charcuterie board. Needless to say I will never go back again.
