Ruth's Chris Steak House - Marina Del Rey
Six additional large shrimp
A ruth's classic
With a hint of roasted garlic
We’ve been to Ruth’s Chris Steak House 50+ times and this was the first time we were disappointed overall. The 16oz rib eye was at least 25% fat, the au gratin potatoes were undercooked and the sautéed mushrooms were under seasoned. After we finished our meal, we waited 15 minutes for the waiter. He finally showed up and asked if we’d like to look at a dessert menu. We passed on dessert, gave him a credit card, paid the bill and left. Although the Marina del Rey Ruth’s Chris Steak House is a ten-minute walk from our home, we will probably go out of our way to to eat at a different Ruth’s Chris Steak House in the future if at all.
We enjoyed our dinner quite a bit. We ordered two 11oz filets which were prepared as requested (one a bit more done than rare, the other medium rare). We had them hold the butter. We should also have asked them to hold the pepper too, because the steaks were seasoned pretty strongly with pepper (at least the spice tasted like pepper -- we didn't ask what it really was). Maybe if we had kept the butter, the spice wouldn't have seemed so strong. Nonetheless, the steaks were quite good with the spice; it's just that we thought we'd enjoy them more without it.
We also ordered two lobster bisques which were quite good and each included a few small pieces of lobster. In addition, we ordered regular fries (pretty good; not great), broccoli (pretty good), fruit and ice cream for desert (meager portion of fruit; large portion of ice cream), and a very reasonably priced bottle of wine. The meal started with some hot bread and butter.
The server and staff were outstanding.
We'd come back again.
This was my first time in a Ruth’s Chris restaurant. Nice quiet place. Dimly lit. Damian was awesome, funny guy and knew his stuff. Great experience. I’ll be back soon.
Great food and great service!
Three of us went for the last 1/2 hr of Happy Hour & had great appetizers & service in the bar. Also had dinner in the dining room and were all very pleased with our food and service. It was a birthday and Hugh attended to us quite nicely.
My experience was outstanding from the start. It was my mother’s 80th birthday, and we were a party of 4 with reservations. The hostess acknowledged it right away. Our table was decorated with birthday confetti, and my mother received a “Happy Birthday” menu. Ruth Chris steaks never disappoint. I usually frequent the NYC midtown location, and this was my first trip to this location. The steaks were perfectly cooked to our specifications. The BBQ shrimp and calamari appetizers were fabulous; both cooked in sauces that I have never tasted before. The creamed spinach, the lobster m&c, broccoli, and baked potato were outstanding. To end the meal they Gabe my mother carrot cake with a candle, and “Happy Birthday [name]” spelled out in chocolate sauce at the top of her dessert plate. The waitress was very attentive, as was the manager, without being intrusive. I was also pleased to see several people of color at the front of the house. The decor was interesting and very pretty. Ruth Chris is no doubt VERY pricey, but we left there not regretting a single dollar spent!
Was seated and greeted by waiter. Told him we were not ready to order. Did not come back to our table for 20 minutes but had time to flirt with the people behind our table numerous times. When he did return I asked for the check for the sparkling water he did bring out.
Very Late Valentines Day Celebration for my Fiancé and I.
Celebrated my birthday with dinner here. We requested John Henry's service area and as usual we were very happy with his attentiveness and service. Our meals and drinks were excellent.
Really took care of our Birthday Girl, from the customized menu to the happy birthday song. Our waiter, Damian, was the absolute best and really took care of us and the managers also came by to give birthday wishes.
The Ruth Chris in Marina Del Rey is always on point! The food and service was amazing as always!
My boyfriend ordered the New York steak & I ordered the Petite filet with shrimp. Both medium plus with the garlic crust seasoning . The meat was very flavorful & easy to chew. We ordered the lobster Mac & cheese, mashed potatoes & calamari as sides. The calamari wasn’t that great, but the mashed potatoes & lobster mac & cheese were very tasty. The only thing I didn’t like is that they sold us a $15 retail valued bottle of Moscato for $48 dollars “La perlita” to be exact. Overall great experience to celebrate a special occasion, we celebrated my boyfriends birthday here.. spent about $250 for two.
Food took a long time to come out but server was excellent.
Mo was a great server and the GM made his rounds - meal was awesome !!! Lighting great - Ambience great !!!
Excellent restaurant with great service, great location!
The servers were super pushy. It was very unbecoming Of the experience I’m used to at Ruth’s Chris. I’m a frequent diner at RC and Was dissapointed. Never feel this way at Beverly Hills. Only at Marina del Rey.
