The arrival experience needs some attention to customer service. Reception seemed inconvenienced to deal with guests, woman did not look up from computer, chastised us for wanting to sit outside, then took us to an inside table only to be reminded of outside reservation. Manager, who disrupted us table side twice, seemed unconcerned about their behavior.
After the unpleasant welcome the rest of the night was great. Food was delicious and service was superb! Currently there is a reduced menu and many beer/wines items were unavailable.
We celebrated our son’s birthday. We were socially distanced from other diners and felt safe. Our server Ed was great! The food was delicious and the service was amazing! It is definitely a splurge but was totally worth it as we enjoyed our seafood tower, wine, and steaks! The birthday plate with dessert that was presented to my son at the end was special!
We chose Ruth's Chris Steak House in Princeton to celebrate of 43rd wedding anniversary. Outstanding food and service was great. We ordered a bottle of Seven Falls Merlot 2014 ($44) and had Shrimp Cocktail ($20), Crab Cakes ($22), Caeser Salad ($11), Porterhouse for two ($105), potatoes au gratin ($7). Our waiter, Jason, was superb and arranged for a special dessert (cheesecake) in honor of our anniversary.
Great service and great food at Ruth Chris Princeton tonight! Great to get out again. They did everything perfectly. Felt safe and enjoyed everything!
Everything was impeccable! It was the third day of the return of indoor dining in our state and the staff was on top of everything!
I’m surprised Ruth’s Chris if all places did not take appropriate measures to ensure the outdoor dining experience was pleasant. The tables had about 20 dead ants on them each. There were no signs of any attempts to avoid the bugs like other places. I fully expect bugs and insects and flies during outdoor dining but this was out of hand. Put something on each table, put some apparatus oil insect repellent on the outside of the tent. TRY
The poor servers had to run in and out when it began to drizzle. Food and drinks got wet. Why not invest in a narrow tent to cover them while walking from the dining tent to the door?
Either do outdoor dining right, or not at at all.

Nice calm evening with great food and great service
Extremely disappointed. Have been a fan for years but this experience, and the managers response to our complaints, has completely changed my opinion. We arrived on a hot Monday and were seated under their tent. No fans were permitted due to CDC guidelines, we were told. We asked repeatedly for the ends of the tent and sides to be opened to get cross ventilation. We were told no, which was baffling, as other restaurants we've dined in have had individual tables with umbrellas and open tents to allow for fresh airflow. This setting was like being in a hothouse. Everyone was waving menus and leaving the tent to get air. Service staff was absent as they stayed inside in the air conditioning as often as possible and came out only when they had to. My meal was overcooked, but so was I, and the thought of sending it back and extending our time in the greenhouse was not appealing as we just wanted to leave. After spending over $300 for what should have been a lovely meal like what we've had there in the past,(the food is usually worth every penny) we left without even wanting to order dessert, and we were there celebrating a special event, which they were made aware of ahead of time After cooling down my body temp as well as my anger, I tried calling the manager. I explained my complaint and his response..."well, outdoor dining is done at your own risk". WHAT??!! Absolutely floored that a manager would offer that up as a reply to a dissatisfied customer. A good restaurant manager would offer compensation. He proceeded to tell me that they are lucky that they never closed and he would like to have our continued support and a good review. Why on earth would I support this kind of behavior? I can buy a $65 steak in plenty of other places and be treated as a valued customer. To say on the phone that you are in need of support and good reviews and "dine at your own risk" is laughable. With that attitude you will have a hard time filling your greenhouse every night.

They did really well with the set up despite the COVID-19 restrictions and beginning to rain while dining. Food was phenomenal. Will definitely be back!
Food was good as usual although our calamari wasn’t hot and was a bit soggy. We had to eat in a tent due to covid but the lights gave it a nice ambiance and the breeze was delightful! Thank you guys for allowing us a chance to step out for some fresh air !!!
Dinner, drinks, and dessert were all delicious. The servers were extremely respectful and kind.

Ruth's Chris is my wife's favorite steakhouse. We come here whenever there is a special occasion. This time we came for her 50th Birthday. We were a party of 5 and everyone's meal came out perfect. Service was great. We had a great time.
When We want a steak this is the only place we go. Servers are always attentive and we always get consistent excellent steaks, and the bread pudding is our favorite. Even if I’m full I will order mine to go.
This was our first time dining with Ruth’s Chris and it couldn’t have gone any better. While it is a beautiful restaurant, what made it so memorable were the staff and, of course, the out-of-this-world food! We are already thinking about our next time!

Service very poor. Food came out not cooked as requested. We had to wait for the food to go back and cooked properly. Coffee came promptly however dessert came 15 minutes after the coffee was served. We sent back the desserts.

I love the feel of Ruth's Chris Steak House. It's an adult room with a low level of noice. They have gone out of their way to dampen the noice factor by carpeting the room, having a ceiling and even the light shades made out of fabric. Ask for a booth, which provides privacy and even more noice reducing features. The steak is outstanding, primarily because of the butter and the way it is cooked. I've eaten in some of the best steak houses across the nation and I much prefer Ruth's Chris. We always go on our anniversary and get the porterhouse for two. The side dishes and deserts are wonderful too.
Service was well-timed and friendly. They only charge a $15 corkage fee so bring a really special wine to go with your meal.

We have been to this Ruth Chris numerous times! We have always had great food and service.
This was my second time there and it was much better than my first time. The service was exceptional from the wait staff to the managers. My steak was cooked perfectly as well as the crab cakes and creme brûlée. I will definitely be going back

We made a reservation for 8:15 and confirmed it the day before (as they emailed me to confirm). We arrived a few minutes early and the lobby was packed. We sat at the bar and ordered a cocktail. After 20 minutes of waiting we decided to order an appetizer at the bar. The hostess then came to seat us at 8:42, almost 30 mins after our reservation. We told her we would just eat at the bar. The service was slow at the bar and the bread pudding dessert was barely warm. Overall it was a very disappointing evening.
This was the first time my wife and I have gone to Ruth's Chris Steak House. Our kids had given us two gift certificates, so we planned on a nice enjoyable dinner. We arrived at 8.05pm for an 8.15pm reservation. We were told that it would be closer to 8.15pm, so we told them we would have a drink at the bar. We were told they would come for us when the table was ready. Still waiting at 8.35pm, we had two seats at the bar so decided to stay at the bar. Another couple standing next to us had a reservation for 8.15pm as well, but weren't seated until 8.50pm.
8.55pm we placed our order, started with an appetizer and ordered the 'Porterhouse for two'. We asked if we could change the sides that came with the meal, and were told for an 'up charge', it could be done. We were fine with this. 15 minutes later, our appetizer came out, (Calamari). This was very good. 30 minutes later, our bartender had come over to let us know that they did not have any porterhouse left. Seriously!? A steak house that ran out of porterhouse!? We decided on a t'bone steak for myself, (Rare) and my wife ordered lamb chops, (Medium rare).
10.10pm, our meals arrived. The two meats, and a side of brussels sprouts and potatoes au gratin. The potatoes, looked and tasted like they were forgotten then 'whipped up' last minute, being undercooked and the potatoes still a little hard. I could only eat 3/4 of my steak because there was grizzly through out the steak. My wife's lamb chops were no where near medium rare. So tough, she couldn't cut them to eat the without a struggle. We asked for a steak knife, and they didn't have one. They brought another knife, just like the one that my wife had, hoping it was sharper. No such luck.
It was 10.45pm, and the smell of cleaning products put the 'icing on the cake'. No dessert for us. We had enough. What we anticipated to be a nice, day after, Valentine's dinner, turned in to an extremely disappointing night. We will be going back to Char or Wolfgang's.
Food always outstanding and always very hot. Side dishes, like the creamed spinach, although very tasty, could have been hotter. Service is excellent.

Food and service were amazing. Wish our table hadn't been in the middle of the room, but it is what it is. Also, I feel as though the prices go up each time we're there, but the food is delicious and the servers are very attentive.
Decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day at Ruth Chris, my girlfriend has never been then before and I’ve only been once before to the Atlantic City location, which by the way gave me high expectations for the Princeton location. Sadly the food was awful, we decided to get the 40oz. porter house for 2 which we were probably only able to enjoy all of 6 oz of filet mignon and didn’t bother to finish the strip side because it was too tough and un enjoyable to eat. Our side options came out to be the cream spinach, mashed potatoes & au gratin. FYI don’t get either of these, not worth the price for the flavorless veggies in my opinion. Overall the best part of the dinner was the service and and Ruth’s Caesar salad and bottle of dry creek vineyard Cabernet. Our waiter and his helper were amazing and made dinner more satisfying then the actual meal. Would i go again? After last night, probably not.
