Salvi's Mozzarella Bar

We had our booking at 8 and we had to wait 20 minutes to be sited. The guy upstairs offered and prepared a drink for a couple that walked in after us but didn’t offer anything to us at any point. He didn’t give any explanation about why the table was taking so long - He just kept saying ‘2 minutes’. When we finally sat we waited other 20 minutes to order. When the food arrived, the bruschetta had clearly been microwaved. The pasta was nice. We didn’t have time to order dessert because after all the wait it was nearly 10 when we finished our mains.
I appreciate this was the evening before lockdown and they probably had a crazy day but you shouldn’t try to chew more than you can swallow if you want your clients to be happy and come back.

Amazing delicious food and incredible value for money

Probably one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever eaten (Pasta Nonna). My boyfriend and I had 3 starters between us, two mains, two desserts and two bottles of wine and it wasn’t even £100. FANTASTIC value for quality food. Plus, the service was fantastic.

Popped in for lunch and had the octopus pasta. Was really tasty and arrived within 10 minutes of so of ordering.

Staff are friendly the restaurant is decorated to give it an authentic feel.

Always an enjoyable experience at Salvis - the pizza's are excellent, staff very attentive and make sure you browse the delicatessan before leaving.

This is a magnificent place to eat, passing through the lovely Deli to the downstairs restaurant. We were seated in a glass-doored table for 6, so we felt very special, the staff were very attentive and our waiter was superb(very funny and jovial)this made a birthday celebration extra special.

Arrived and were offered free drinks as they were just preparing our table. Only waited an extra 5 minutes from time of booking and food came out fairly quickly. Lovely food and amazing service will be returning!

Best Italian food in town! Great service, staff are attentive and relaxed. It doesn’t feel stressful or rushed off its feet even though it was a full house. The Ravioli starter with Black Truffle was exquisite and I had the Italian Fennel Sausage with Broccili which was divine. 100% recommend.

Food was exceptional and reasonably priced. Service was quick. Will be going back.

The food was superb. The atmosphere was great, we got lucky with lovely weather. We sat down outside, enjoying food and drink although the service was slow which can't be helped because they were very busy. Difficult to catch them when we needed to order.

Salvi's is one of our longtime favs but sadly this visit was a bit disappointing. Food was OK, it was quite quiet but waitstaff doesn't seem to be too on top of managing diners. We were shown to a dirty, unmade table, we had booked but they didn't ask about this, the minimal interaction we had with staff felt quite transactional, they gave us the bill and we had to ask twice for the card machine... hopefully just an off day as it had otherwise been a nice place to go.

Could fault any part of this experience. Will definitely be going there again, soon!

Visited last week for the first time, service was attentive, efficient. Food was delicious, would gladly go back. Felt safe while there, Covid measures in place.

It was our first time at salvis, we decided to go after it was recommended to us by a family member and it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We will definitely return and will be recommending to our friends.

Had a fabulous afternoon there with friends. The food was superb. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely return.

My favourite restaurant in Manchester, every aspect is perfect.

No pizza available, but after we order our food we saw pizzas starting come out of the kitchen.. we asked why?!and we got the explanation. They got more pizza dough from other restaurant.. if that big piece of information came earlier, we could wait for our pizza. No tiramisu a few more dishes not available, at the end of all.. I believe that was better never have been there. Was my favourite restaurant before lockdown. At this moment it is a mirage that what was before l. Short menu, and short stock. From my regular order, in 4 dishes , only 1 was available. Was a busy day, I could choose a restaurant in the eat out scheme, but i preferred pay more , for my favourite food. Big mistake. Until the free dessert was not enough, because is not the dessert I wanted. Honestly it's the 1st I'm writing a comment about a restaurant.. I'm doing it because I fell very disappointed.

Ate on the 31st of August , it must have been the only restaurant in Manchester that was not doing the Eat Out to Help Out offer , did i check no , but after eating at a number of restaurants / cafe's over the previous few days i just expected that all restaurants we offering this , my mistake , should i have check , with hindsight yes .

Great food, real authentic Italian cuisine and the service is spot on.

Went to Salvi’s for the first time for a nice Sunday meal. We enjoyed the food and service and would definitely return.

Always enjoy Salvi’s - great food, service and value for money. They have a good selection of beer on draught ( Peroni/Menabrea) and small but perfect menu - you’ll find something you want! Generous portions too!
Added bonus is the deli where you can buy pasta, wine , cakes - served on menu.
Friendly service and covid friendly.
Highly recommended!
