   Everything was going well (service, food, ambience) until their gardener started weed whacking right next to where everyone was eating lunch - 1pm….wtf???

   Fantastic food. We had the pork belly appetizer and piri piri chicken. Service was a little slow and prices were high but we would definitely come back again. Weather was perfect for outdoor dining.

   Dinner was very good, impressed with range of selections. The pasta special with shrimp was flavorful and light and the vegetarian entre was a stuffed grilled poblano pepper was great. Our shared Rhubarb strawberry tart with vanilla ice cream was delicious.

   We always enjoy Sam’s. Staff is very attentive and professional and the food is excellently prepared. Save room for the candy cap churros!

   Sam’s Social Club has long been a favorite. The burger always top rate. This visit was a huge disappointment. We were last here the Sunday before Thanksgiving and my partner had the pork chop it was so amazing I had been thinking of it since. My pork chop was so dry it was inedible. The waiter graciously took it back but he didn’t seem all that surprised. My partner had the burger and had asked for it medium rare it was medium well and the fries were cold. The birthday girl had the lamb chop she said it was ok. We also had the Jalapeño Mac &cheese which I like my my dinner mates said needed more cheese. So all in all an old favorite will probably not be visited again. I will say the service was awesome so thank you. One last thing to note: please paint and update the bathroom it just gets more worn and weary with every visit. There is way too much competition in Calistoga now to have your food be mediocre. Next time I’ll try somewhere else.

   Service was great. Food was lack luster/ steak ordered as medium came rare. Asked for it to be corrected and came back heated but still rare. Lacked seasoning as well. Disappointed in our very special occasion dinner.

   Made reservations for a lunch stop on our wine tour. We enjoyed the atmosphere and late brunch. Food and service was excellent except for the server who decided it was appropriate to talk about our table at the server station. Only downside was their inability to do separate checks and her poor attitude.

    Made a reservation on OpenTable, very easy and quick. Let me tell you!! The espresso martini is the best!!!! Must have when you’re there.
