   We went for Mother’s Day and we didn’t realize it was buffet only. I felt like they didn’t put a ton of effort into the food they served. I know it’s supposed to be “covid” safe but why not just serve off of a menu then? Also, since it was buffet only, you would think the server would be a little more attentive, but we inly saw him like 2 times and he ended up overcharging us on the bill. If I go again, I would rather order a dish off of a menu not be subjected to just a buffet style.

   Horrible! It was buffet night which was fine except there was no help and the crew was short staffed. The line to the buffet ran straight in the middle of the dining room next to people’s tables. Drinks were overpriced and watered down. Food wasn’t hot enough. On top of all that they added a mandatory 20% tip to the bill for a party of 4! It will be a very long tome before we ever go back

   We were surprised to find it only buffet! Yes, the food was good but we were planning to order off the menu so that was disappointing. This should have been on their website. It was many large groups and the single buffet line was long. It was nice when someone got the bright idea to place the desserts somewhere so you didn't have to wait in line.

    Three friends went to the Santa Ana Cafe to celebrate each of our February birthdays. Our table on the patio was next to the warmth of the Kiva fireplace with an unobstructed view of the Sandia mountains in the distance. Our waiter had the most beautiful smile and kind spirit, and the service was efficient, attentive and cordial. Two of us had the buffet, which featured delicious New Mexican food, salad, soups and desserts, and had the best green and red Chile I've tasted in a long time. The menu order was exceptional as well. Gourmet mixed drinks were both visually appealing and satisfying. After the meal, we were surprised by the offer to order desserts from the menu which were delivered with candles and an energetic birthday song. We had such a lovely experience at Santa Ana Cafe, and would highly recommend this restaurant for both special occasions, or simply an enjoyable meal overlooking the most spectacular vista imaginable. The peace and tranquility of this cafe in the Tamaya resort is out of this world!

    We were happy to be able to get a last-minute reservation at 6:30 for Valentines evening, although the dining room wasn't overly crowded during our stay. Our server was very pleasant but may have had too many tables. We had extended waits between his visits. And the table next to us remained unbussed after the diners left, for over half of our stay....not good ambience.

    We went for Christmas Brunch, it was a beautiful set up, service was spotty because our server had too many tables, but that’s not his fault, he would come check in on us as often as he could. They had a great selection of food both breakfast and lunch options. Caving station outside was incredible, the meats were delicious and cooked perfectly. We’d definitely go back. I highly recommend their buffet brunch. The dessert options were also very satisfying.

    For $70.00/person for anyone over the age of 11 this was absolutely overpriced!! For that price, one might expect a glass of wine or some nice acoustic live music. The dining room was nicely decorated but nothing to write home about. This was no different than the average Mother's Day or Easter buffet you typically pay $30-$35. It was clear based on lack of attendance they priced themselves out of the market.

    We have celebrated Thanksgiving at Tamaya's Santa Ana Cafe and it seemed sub-par compared. The prime rib and the pork roast were both terrible. Prime rib was way under done and the pork roast was dry dry dry. All the sides were tasty but were on heated tables and everuthing was cold including the hot tamales. I mentioned it to the floor manager when we left. Not a good value. The triple berry pie was very good.

    Don't Go Here.... because it took way too long to get served and there were only three tables with customers! When we told the server that we didn't want onions on either of our meals they were served with onions. The chicken was dry, the salad barely had any dressing. The food was boring! The server knew we weren't happy but didn't apologize or go to the manager and tell them our concerns! Won't go back!

    Although our family has eaten at the Santa Ana Cafe many times over the years, our experience this week was excellent as we celebrated lunch for 10 in honor of our daughter's-in-law birthday and college graduation & our granddaughter's graduation from U of NM Nursing school. Quiet atmosphere for our lunch, excellent care by Lynette, and great food menu for everyone's individual preferences. We truly love this restaurant!

    Having never been to Tamaya Resort, arrived early enough. Entered the lobby and no sign for directions to the Santa Ana Cafe. Eventually found it by following some people. Went to check in and discovered my name and reservation time was not listed anywhere. I had to pull up my phone to show the confirmation email. A bit of a slight "hiccup" and I was accommodated. Eventually was seated 20 minutes after reservation time due to heavy crowd. And, restrooms nearest the Cafe were out of order and had to explore hotel area to find the closest one available, up the stairs and way down the hall. Other than that, a very good dining experience and memorable time w/ family.

    Chef Patrick, Chef Richard and Chef Noy were absolutely phenomenal! They made our stay amazing as my Mom and I have quite a few food allergies and they not only accommodated us but went far above and beyond! And they did so in such a kind and generous way! I can't say enough great things about our experience, and I would HIGHLY recommend this resort and these restaurants as the chefs are FIRST CLASS! Thank you to each of the chefs, we enjoyed many meals at each of the restaurants because of you!

    I never thought I would go out to eat on Thanksgiving. Going to the Tamaya was cozy, the food wonderful and varied, and the staff polite and very helpful. I thought I would be sad, but it was a wonderful experience. I even saw a flock of wild turkeys on the road home! I plan on coming back, but next time I will make my reservation earlier to eat inside rather than the enclosed patio..it was a little noisy.

    The seating arrangement was tables stacked on one another. No privacy. Carving stations on the patio left turkey and prime rib cold. Made it feel like a low end budget buffet. After having gone for so many years doubt I would go back for that high price.

    We went to Santa Ana cafe for their Thanksgiving Day feast. The service (from Christoph) was outstanding and the meal was really special. All the regular things like ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, yams but then they had really special fresh breads, gourmet appetizers, cheeses, salads and OMG the desserts!     While the waitress and staff was absolutely wonder. The whole thing was absolutely ruined by the absolutely flavorless hunk of meat that was passed off as a ribeye. They also did away with the free refills for their soft drinks.
