For high quality food, service and atmosphere, Sapore Italiano is at the top of the list. For a BYOB, one might initially think that this restaurant is pricey, but when you see what you get for your money, you realize that it was worth every penny! Generous portions that lead to delicious leftovers for next day lunches prove that it was money well-spent.
Great food, I have been to Sapore many times and have never been disappointed.
I ordered the veal special. The veal was good, but it had very little crab meat with it. The steamed clams were very good.

Everything was absolutely delicious.
We were celebrating our anniversary and the food was excellent from the appetizers to the dessert. We actually arrived 30 prior to our scheduled time (which was a mistake on our part), but the waitress was so kind to seat us right away. We will come back again.

We took friends who had never been to Sapore before. They both said their meals were cooked perfectly. He had the osso boco, while she had the salmon. As always, everything was delicious.
We ate outside where the tables were far apart alleviating any safety concerns.
Sapore is our favorite Italian restaurant down the shore! They are very accommodating and will do everything they can to ensure you have a wonderful meal. The wait staff is excellent and very friendly! We especially enjoy when Irena is our server! She does a great job and should be recognized for it! The pasta and seafood dishes are amazing! See you soon!
Regular customer food quality decreased since last season. Veal cut paper thin no taste. Both veal entrees lacked usual good taste, flavor

We celebrated several birthdays, graduation and engagements in our family. Good food and we liked our table inside - just right for our group.
This trip to Sapore did not live up to previous visits. First, I had requested indoor dining and we were seated in an outside tent. We had not dressed for outdoor dining. It was a cool evening and not all the heaters were working. Service was extremely slow. They were not adequately staffed for the number of patrons. A 2 hour experience for antipasto and entrees. When we finally received our entrees, they were fresh and hot so the staffing shortage included front and back of the house. Sapore has responded to COVID dining restrictions by adding alot of outside, well spaced seats. They need to balance seating with staffing. Since this was not at typical expereince we will return. The food is excellent, and our waitress was doing the best she could under the circumstances.

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. I went with a group of friend and we share the eggplant appetizer, arugula salad, beet salad, chicken parm, chicken picatta and gnocchi sorrentino. Everything was fantastic! I can't wait to go back again! It was one of the best meals I have ever had.
