Seasalt - Del Mar
Great service, great food, lots of menu choices, very attentive staff, will certainly come back!
one of my favorites - never disappointing in any respect
There was only one server/waiter/bartender. Slow service. Small portions.
Lovely patio setting with ocean view. We had calamari, delicious. We order sushi - the yellowtail - delicious. We ordered salmon penne - amazing. Chicken entree was very good. Bread was good too. Salad was good. We had a table for six and enjoyed our time. Service was on par. Dessert: creme brulee + chocolate mousse were very good. Nice ambience. It can get noisy on patio and may be hard to hear conversation in a big group. However, the ambience is worth it. We enjoyed our time.
The food was good, I ordered the catch of the day, it was really fresh. The restaurant was busy but the serve still managed to be attentive.
The table at the patio is an awesome spot. Should ask for that.
Delicious food great service very enjoyable!!
Way too noisy. Waiter not accommodating to dietary needs, but manager was.
Our experience started out poorly, given no menus, and we seemed to be ignored as no one really
was taking care of our table. It was eventually corrected and our waiter was very nice and made it
up to us.
We had our own room for our party of 12, which was nice. Our waiter was wonderful.
Service was lacking and short staffed for an extremely busy day. Lengthy wait to place the order, then the food was delivered with no follow up. No drink refills or water during the course of the meal.
The brunch was limited in terms of selection. The pancakes and crab cake BLT was good. The omelette we would pass in the future. Since it was cool, we sat indoors but that put us right next to where they check in people so that was annoying.
Wedding Anniversary & Birthday trip to Del Mar!
I always have an amazing, enjoyable experience here hence is why I continue to come back.
Celebrated Father’s Day brunch at Seasalt. They were able to accommodate a large party of 9 in the covered patio area with a prime view. Service was excellent. They checked on us frequently and refilled our coffee and drinks. We did not have to wait long for the food. Nice variety for the brunch menu. I’ve been here for brunch and dinner and enjoyed each time.
Awesome restaurant! Five stars all around...bar was great, food and value were excellent (portions were large), patio atmosphere and friendly wait staff service were perfect for a small family birthday celebration.
Family dinner. Waiter was rude, food average
Service was a little slow but we were a large group amongst other large groups. The food was delicious and the server had excellent recommendations. Would definitely go back in the future.
I liked my 3rd experience the best so far visiting Seasalt. My wife is a private chef and she agreed that the tuna was done to perfection and the calamari appetizer was also great. We sat close but far enough away from the bar where we could see the basketball game and still have privacy as well. Staff is great both the waiters and the bartenders are there to please. The waiter was slow to get my beer or forgot so he comped it without a hesitation...we will definitely be back!
We had the blackened scallops and the salmon with the honey habanero glaze. Both were delicious. Great service and great food.
Have been to Seasalt a couple of times and it’s always great. Really good food, great service and nice ambiance. Can very much recommend it.
Excellent food at a reasonable price. The fish of the day was fresh and prepared uniquely. Almost all tables have a marsh or ocean view. There was such a family feeling here and the staff seemed genuinely happy to be there. Jennifer our server was a joy. We will be going back here again soon.
The food was horrible. I would not recommend it. It tasted like frozen food heated up. None of the seafood tasted fresh.
The petite filet and macadamia crusted halibut was excellent. I will definitely go out of my way to dine here next time I am in southern CA. View, ambience and service was impeccable.
Loved this place! Amazing, knowledgeable servers and staff. Delicious food! Luxurious setting.
We enjoyed a great evening for Mother's day! Our server (wish I remembered his name) was terrific and even went to his car for a jacket for my wife when she told him she was a little chilly! We had the salmon, the lobster and the crab ravioli entries and each was great! 1st to were my favorites! good chef- casual- lay back - we'll be back again soon!
Went for Sunday brunch on Mother’s Day. Been there many times before. Arrived at 12:15pm and were informed that brunch was ending and we needed to hurry up to order or we would have had to choose from lunch menu instead. No prior information was given that brunch ended early instead of 3 pm! Kitchen ran out of fruit as part of brunch dishes. No credit or substitute offered. Restaurant supposedly ran out of “ limitless “ sparkling wine for mimosas after each of us had two glasses. Absolutely disappointing and unacceptable. Undecided if we will return, much less recommend.
Went for Mothers Day brunch. When we arrived, we were seated right away on the patio which was very nice. Took almost 15 minutes for our server to even check in on us. She took our drink order and what seem to us awhile to come back to take our food order. Food came out after another 15 minutes and my Benedict was luke warm but tasted ok. My wife said hers was warm and she liked it. The other staff came around often asking to refill our coffees and to remove our plates, they were on it. Kind of a mix of how we were served but the views were great and it was a nice morning. I’ll chalk it up to being Mothers Day.
Kudos to the chef and other staff: Everyone does whatever it takes to make the dining experience memorable. If a guest has a specific food allergy, for example, the chef will modify a dish to make certain that a problematic ingredient is swapped out for something different but equally tasty. Salvatore and his staff are the best!
Special occasion made even more special by the excellent personalized service we received. I wish I knew our servers's name - he was outstanding! (May 1st, 2019)
No mention of special occasion (birthday) although was on reservation. Poor service, average food. Website says they have gluten free pasta but they don’t when you get there.
GREAT in every way!
Service was excellent!
Martini was delicious!
Atmosphere was lovely!
Food was outstanding!
Great food and atmosphere!
Although the view is nice, the service was disappointing. Phone receivers are a little rude on responding and the waiter there accidentally served us water when we ordered tequila.
Chose Seasalt for Easter Brunch because me and my family have eaten there several times and have always been impressed with the service and quality of food. It is also situated midway between our homes so is a convenient meeting place. Enjoy being by the water and our waitress, as usual, was on it.
We've been here many time and it's most consistent with quick service and good food. Until Easter brunch... Super slow service and extremely noisy. We'll stick to bar service from here on out.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and the deal for the unlimited mimosas are great!
However the service was really slow, and our server wasn’t quite welcoming.
Absolutely love this place. Excellent food, gorgeous views and great prices. ❤️
Great place for brunch, overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the Del Mar Lagoon.
Brunch, lunch or dinner - the food is always terrific. Menus offer a great selection...lots of fish dishes but plenty of other choices I'm a big fish fan!).
