Mercedes and the rest of the team did a great job. We ended up eating there two nights in a row because the first night was so good and the second night it was even better.
I was hoping “Seaview” had an actual sea view. But alas it was buildings and a boat armada. Still a lot of fun.
It was our fourth time at Seaview and as always it was a great experience! The very friendly and professional staff and amazing food! We went on my girlfriends birthday, and we received a delicious a complementary birthday pastry! Pretty amazing! Thank you
Service from the entrance was great. The waffle & omelet station were wonderful. Would highly recommend the Seaview and would visit again:)
Jorge and the entire staff are all amazing and the food was great.
We were the first guests and they didn’t sit us next to a sea view window. I even had a reservation. It wasn’t till later that I even realized we were at a restaurant that had a view. Who were they saving those seats for. Banana muffins were not labeled as banana (which I am allergic to) and I accidentally had a bite before I realized. Omelet barely had any eggs in it. Just thought the quality of food was not good overall, especially for close to $30 a person for breakfast.
overall experience was great except the expensive parking fee. i wish that they have emphasized about parking in their website. parking outside is expensive and only parking in the hotel is validated. it would have been helpful if all guests were notified of this.
The food was amazing! The special of the morning was a lobster omlet made to order. Lots of different beverage options. Do yourself a favor and get the all inclusive grand buffet!
Just average but high price. Food not hot.
My family have grand buffet while we visit San Diego, seaview buffet only have limited food selection for you to start with. Even fruit section, only have fresh pineapple, banana, couple melons, strawberries. That’s it! For the price $28 per person,I don’t recommend to any friends . But I do love their services!
We were very disappointed with our experience. The food was way too overpriced & expected better quality & more if it. Our halibut was over cooked, dry & tasteless. Both of our potatoes were barely warm & our carrots were hard. You needed a steak knife to cut them. We left hungry & unhappy.
Wait staff hard to find. They had too many guests to serve to adequately do their job.
We’ve been to brunch twice now. Food is amazing and service is top notch. My favorite brunch in San Diego.
I didn't read it closely and missed that this was buffet. It was a nice buffet but a buffet none the less.
Great ambiance, service and food options. Would highly recommend for a special occasion.
The brunch at Seaview was amazing. The family absolutely loved it. We showed up early and the staff accommodated our party of 6, asking if we wanted to sit outside (which I highly recommend on a sunny day). There was a wide variety of food to satisfy all types of cravings. The staff was extremely friendly; always asking if we needed anything else. Needless to say, we will be back soon.
Great place to grab Easter brunch with my family from out of town :)
Easter brunch is the best in San Diego!
Seaview Restaurant is where our Family has celebrated Easter for the past two years. Not only is the food array absolutely decadent and bountiful (for the Champagne Brunch), but also the Easter Bunny and Egg Hunt make this venue a Family Favorite! We especially look forward to Mr. Serawit, who is the quintessential personification of warm hospitality and outstanding professionalism.
The breakfast buffet is outstanding. A little pricey but we are on vacation :) Service was excellent! The restaurant is part of the Grand Hyatt & the staff is amazing & friendly. The views are beautiful, as is the hotel itself.
Seaview is very clean and inviting with a beautiful atmosphere and view. Hostess and servers were friendly and welcoming and provided excellent service. The food was delicious and buffet stations were well maintained and clean. Having your own carafe of coffee at your table was also a much appreciated detail. It’s nice to be able to get your own refills and know it’s going to be kept hot. Also, we loved having the option of a continental or all inclusive breakfast. I would definitely recommend Seaview to any friends staying at the hotel and we will for sure be back in the future.
Good food, good ambiance but a little bit more breakfast buffet choices would make it better
Look forward to returning to the Hyatt and to Seaview, great breakfast!
Outstanding Christmas Dinner experience which exceeds all expectations. Food selection and presentation is first class. Service is efficient, professional and friendly. A very special dining experience for the festive season. Well worth it.
We went to Seaview for Christmas brunch. To summarize, the experience was delightful. Food was plentiful, the decorations were festive, and the overall value for a meal with unlimited oysters, shrimp, sushi, champagne is top notch.
However, although the assortment of food for this Christmas meal was plentiful, it was not as bountiful as the Thanksgiving meal served in Seaview, earlier this year and in years past. (Where was the turkey? where were the salads and vegetables?......on the desert tables, where were the cakes and pies?)
Having said that, the five of us had a marvelous time, and will come back.
We have been coming for Christmas Day brunch for a few years now and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious and plentiful and the service is impeccable.
We have Dined many times at the Seaview - for breakfast as well as holiday dinners. This year was the best ever - the food was amazing, service – Sammy – excellent as always. We can’t wait till we can go again.
Food was okay, not great. It was extremely load so it was very difficult to have a conversation. We live in the area and there are better places to eat for the money. We would not go back here again.
Little pricey for what you get. I know hotel buffets are pricey but they usually have a plentiful selection. This one does not.
I guess it was ok for a Hyatt Hotel.
If you didn’t want the full buffet EVERYTHING was ala cart.
Since we were there on Sunday I would recommend Sally’s instead.
Excellent service, waiters very professional and friendly. Sammy and Seriwit are amazing. The food is very good, love the Belgian Waffles with fresh berries a real whipped cream!
Tina is amazing and all the staff is wonderful!
I love Sammy and everyone that works there!
I have been coming there for the past 30 years !
Love this breakfast buffet. It is only open till 11am but best food and quality ingredients. Omelettes to Huevos Rancheros are superb. Even the waffles are fantastic!!!
Was very good, I especially loved the banana bread and how there was no nuts in it
BEST Mother's Day brunch around!! We go every year!! A++++
Everything was perfect. The service, the food and the overall value. We’ve been here multiple times and enjoy more than the last. Will continue to come and also we come on Christmas day for a beautiful brunch!
Went with the kids (from 10 yrs old to 19 yrs old) and they all loved it. Great variety for both adults and kids.
The hostess sweet but once we were seated the next point of contact asked us what we wanted to drink and then was not versed on Mimosas and acted very oddly making for an uncomfortable moment.... but then ENTER the Omelet Bar team. These ladies had us in smiles and giggles all while churning out 6 other egg dishes. I felt welcomed and at first wished the omelet bar offered table seating. Just when we thought it couldn’t get better our true server stopped by the table and Sammy had us at Hello! We appreciated his candor, banter, and overall amazing service style. He never stopped smiling (or filling up our glasses for that matter).
Food was great quality just wished here was a bit more variety but overall this really 5 Star morning!
We went for Easter brunch and it was wildly overpriced. The sushi wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. There was no imagination to the rolls provided and the size was for kids. The seafood bar was not plate friendly. Who wants to put arm sized crab legs on a 9 inch dish? Open oysters that have been sitting out in the open for who knows how long? Pass. The shrimp did not smell fresh and no tools to crack open the crab claws were provided. The whole selling point of their seafood buffet was just too poorly executed to fully enjoy. The everyday items like hand cut roast beef, omelette station, and desserts bar were good but again not worth the cost. Also, the stock photo used of their restaurant and their name are very misleading. They are a good block away from the ocean and inside a hotel so don't be deceived like you're dining right by the water in a fancy restaurant.
I scored low for Easter Brunch. Food wasn't great, with limited breakfast type options. Mostly lunch items and way, way over priced for quality. Very disappointed.
