Flat Iron Steak, Truffle Oil, Arugula, Parmesan Fries
8 oz Filet Mignon
16 oz New York Strip
Open Table allowed us to make a reservation and asked us to confirm. Note please - restaurant is closed.
Don’t waste your time going until they open again.
Closed. Covid. Out of business
The restaurant closed October 1st and you still booked us a table October 3rd. Good thing we did some research before we got there since they weren’t answering the phone
It was not open!
The restaurant was closed for the season! So glad I received 3 separate confirmation texts and emails to make sure I'd be there- perhaps OpenTable should be checking whether or not the restaurant is actually open...very disappointing!
This has always been our “go to” restaurant. The food, service and staff have never disappointed us, and the atmosphere is the added bonus.
We love to bring our out of town guests to enjoy a good meal and have a reliable positive experience.
Good food, great service! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.
I always expect an food establishment to provide good food, service and ambiance. All expectations were met, and personal attentiveness a level beyond. Vey satisfied. Enjoy!
The hostess was nice. That’s really the only positive thing I can say. Appetizers were edible but steaks were raw and cold in the middle. We sent one back, came back burned on the outside inside still raw. The waitress was profusely apologetic but despite being one of two tables in the whole place a manger never came over. Food was awful, we quickly paid our bill and left. Hopefully it will change hands soon bc it can’t get any worse.
First time eating here. Our meal was delicious!
We have been here many times in the past and this was absolutely the worst. It went bad really fast, that's because our appetizers were rushed out to our table after being obviously microwaved instead of made fresh. We ordered our bottle of wine and ordered our meals, lobster stuffed mushrooms which we were going to split. The sauce was piping hot and the inside was cold. It came out just as our wine got opened and when we asked about bread for the table the waiter stated we don't have it now because of Covid. Really? Then we asked why we were being rushed and he responded with we are shorthanded. Wouldn't it take longer for the food to come out if you were shorthanded. We cancelled our dinners and paid for our bottle of wine and left. We went to Due Amici and enjoyed a nice dinner. It used to be an upscale steakhouse, not anymore!!
Outdoor seating area very nice !
Nice cocktail menu.
Food was just not good. Shrimp appetizer came in a yellow thick soupy goopy sauce. No flavor other than some heat from red pepper flakes.
Tuna poke was made with slimy soft old watermelon that barely tasted like watermelon.
Pork chop was so overdone it was hard to chew.
Even the baked potato for which we paid extra was plopped on the table naked. Asked for butter and got thee foil wrapped frozen nuggets. No sour cream. Nothing. Had to ask for salt.
And no bread in sight.
Pretty overpriced for such mediocre food. Too bad.
We won’t go back.
Poorly run. Overpriced. Food not prepared to specification. Dining in an alleyway not even facing water of inlet. No ambiance. Dead plants. Flood light blaring in out face as it got darker.
We had reservations for 7:30 pm, at 7:45 still no table, no biggie we stayed at the bar had drinks, appetizers and entree and dessert, kind of loved finally sitting at a bar. Kevin was amazing, drinks were great and service. The food was amazing😋 just a final comment the waiter Giovanni 👏👏👏👏👏👏⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It is good but a little pricey for what you get.
Ate in the newly built outdoor side dining area. Very nice. Service was great. Food was awesome.
We were disappointed because there is no bread with their meals and everything's all a cart. We get that you used to serve these really good rolls, but now you don't have them anymore, which is very disappointing. Um, the meals were good. But this side dish with The Flaming Jan was very salty. And we ordered an appetizer that never even came out. I've been there numerous times that we are local so a little disappointing.
Been there a few times and this was first time since COVID started. They were very safe. Did all the right things. Only weird thing was they didn’t offer any bread??? When I asked the waiter her said they cut it out for safety reasons. I don’t get that but when you spend $100 a person for dinner, bread would be nice.
We’ll be back.
Beautiful atmosphere, the service was impeccable. I ordered the filet mignon and they did it Pittsburgh rare for me and it turned out really good. I feel like the vegetables could have a little more love to them but other than that the place was very good. We will definitely be back there again.
Great place, food as always was excellent. Staff is fantastic!
Service was terrible. Food was mediocre. Prices were too expensive for the quality of the food not being that great. I gave it a chance and now I regret going there. Will not return in the future.
Food excellent, my husband loved his special, encrusted cod
Wait staff friendly and polite
COVID rules enforced
Staff was from another establishment I frequenters quite a bit in the “before times” (pre-covid). Service was excellent, Michelle paid close attention to detail and conversation was good, yet not pulling from our conversation.
Dinner was well above the last visit here, showing they had clearly changed chefs and were doing something much better than last trip. The last trip the prices were a bit less expensive, and the food was hardly average.
This trip—The price per plate is certainly up, but the quality was 10 fold what it was a year ago. This spot is changed hands quite a bit over the years—but if they stay with this staff and this chef, they will do quite well.
On this trip, the peoper crusted seared ahi tuna was the choice for her...watermelon and feta rounded out that entree. A great combo for sure. The crab meat cocktail as an appetizer was costly, but well worth it.
My choices were a shrimp cocktail appetizer, which at the price point was expensive for average shrimp. The pork chop as an entree was a good choice, and had some sort of coating on it prior to being broiled. It was good, but not the best chop I had ever. The side veggies were crisp and full of flavor—pan seared with some garlic, coupled with a garlic mashed and onion/mushroom side plate complimented the dinner overall.
Like I said—not the best food out there, but I will be MORE than happy to come back for the service and seeing the food in another day.
They absolutely are night and day from the “before times” (pre covid), and you should make it a point to check it out. You won’t be disappointed.
It was the first night with returned indoor dining, but we requested to sit outside. The outdoor seating was nice. My husband's wedge salad was quite good, but the Portuguese Shrimp was so hot! I am not afraid of heat, but it almost could not be eaten. I had the New York steak, which was tasty and the mashed potatoes were delicious. My husband had a special of the night, a cod dish -- and he really enjoyed it. We did not stay for dessert. The service was fine. We have been to a number of the finer restaurants in the area recently, and overall, I would have to say that the price seemed high for what we received. I would recommend, but I would explain about the price.
Brook and service was excellent. Bus boys very prompt and friendly as well
Overcooked steak, no medium + option for steakhouse type menu & pricing.
The specials were unbelievable. We went to a steak house and all had great fish dishes. Our server was outstanding.
Incredibly disappointing meal, firstly everything appeared to be pre-cooked, both the appetizers and entre’s came out immediately. The shrimp was rubbery, the cut of meat for the 8-ounce filet was fatty and burnt on the outside.
Wonderful experience - tremendous food, great cocktails, and lovey environment. Extravagant & delicious specials at a very reasonable price, which complemented a quality steak/seafood menu. Can’t recommend the restaurant enough, especially with their pleasant COVID world outdoor dining situation.
Don't buy gift cards. They expire. Food good. I know its Covid but our check was opened at. 5:20 and closed at 6:13pm. $282.55. No wine. Two beers. Family of four. Definitely felt the bums rush to get out of there. Less than an hour was not the birthday dinner we were expecting.
We went on a Saturday night, the reservation was on time. The outdoor seating is covered by an awning, The food was very good and the service was average. We would eat there again.
Great experience and great food!
Amazing food and service.
Wonderful dinner! Highly recommend.
Filet was poor quality for a $32 piece of meat — lots of fat and seasoning was average at best. Table was crooked and cramped. The busboys and wait staff, however, were quite kind and attentive.
Food here needs work for the price point.
It was just ok given the cost. You can get better steak and food/drink for less elsewhere in town.
Rated as an upscale steak house, steak was overcooked and obviously previously frozen. Specials were overpriced, my wife had surf and turf (filet and lobster tail) charge was $80 !!
Did not get the quality meal we paid for
Food, service was on point.. quiet outdoor dining with fans set up for constant breeze.. only real knock here is the tables are too close together especially in this era of virus and social distancing..
It was delicious, the service was fantastic! Highly recommend
An outstanding dinner! With great service! Nice outside area!
