Simon Pearce Restaurant
I have been to Simon Pearce a few times before. Took my sister-in-law from California Thursday night. Everything was excellent (from the food to service). Yes, I always recommend your restaurant when friends and family visit Vermont!
Wonderful. We split several things and everything was plated beautifully. So lovely.
Simon Pearce is a restaurant that is a wonderful place to share with friends and family and for special occasions. We have never been disappointed.
Nice view, food mediocre. Allow dogs in dinning room, pretty disgusting for a restaurant.
My husband & I had just moved our daughter into her Dartmouth dorm and were leaving town the next morning. I knew we’d be sad about leaving our only child for her first year in college and booked SP as a special treat to cheer us up. When we arrived at the time of our reservation, the hostess said she could seat us immediately or we could wait for a table to open up. We didn’t quite know what to make of this somewhat cryptic comment as we’d never even been in the dining room but decided to wait at the bar and see. We enjoyed wine and homemade potSto chips and were getting almost hangry when our hostess returned and led us to the most charming table in the corner of the dining room— with a waterfall beside us and an opened window to enjoy the rushing water sounds and cool breeze. It was the perfect to an emotional day and we enjoyed cod and pork tenderloin. The cheddar soup was very tasty too. I recommend arriving early to explore the shop and visit the glassblowing area!
We took my 85 year old mother in law to Simon Pearce for a birthday dinner and they were so friendly and gave us a window seat and made the night special.
Perfect! Perfect! Perfect! Get it, everything from food to service was Perfect!
Simon Pearce Restaurant has been a favorite spot of ours for about 4 years. The food is excellent and the location and atmosphere are perfect for a special evening celebration.
Wonderful “EVERYTHING”. Our waitress was excellent. Beautiful place.
The food at Simon Pearce is consistently good and our waitress was friendly and very attentive!
Absolutely worth the 7 + hour drive
We will return
Have told so many of our friends here in Ontario Canada
Don’t go to this area of Vermont without a dinner at Simon Pearce. Get the shrimp appetizer and skip your diet and try the banquet. Be sure to leave time to go out on the outside deck to view the waterfall up close and arrive early to watch the glassblowing.
You never get a bad meal there always great food and quiet to talk normally. Love this place wish there was one in mass. On the north shore
We dine at this restaurant a few times per year. It's always reliably great food and service with knowledgable staff. The restaurant is cozy, located in an old mill.
We've had lunch there before, but this was our first dinner. Probably had the best table in the house, overlooking the falls. That did add a bit to the noise level of course, but well worth it!
We are vacationing in the area and heard of the mill and the restaurant from a friend. We explored and found the entire environment of the store, the glass blowing and experience of the restaurant captivating and comforting. The setting is beautiful, the staff is warm and friendly, the service impeccable and the food is divine. Definite bucket list item if you are in the Upper Valley.
This was a wonderful experience in all ways. I highly recommend it
There was a brief hiccup getting seated but once past that dinner was great. The food was as usual amazing and our server was great as well. We all enjoyed it.
The food was a really nice blend of taste experiences. The service was excellent with several support personnel. We had an excellent wine with our meal, which would not have been available to us in NH. We also had a nice private table which overlooked the falls.
Excellent food. The setting is great and nice to use their crystal while dining!
Beautiful restaurant with great food and excellent service! I enjoyed the Vermont cheese plate and braised short rib over polenta. My husband’s duck was also excellent. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
There were not a lot of vegetarian options. This made it difficult for one in our group
Made reservation about a week in advance. Asked for a table near the window on the porch. Upon arrival led to a table on the porch in the corner by a window overlooking the waterfall. The dinners were not great. The presentation was excellent, but the fish (swordfish and halibut) was not up to expectations. The swordfish was thin and not tender and flavorful, the halibut was overcooked and somewhat dry. The glasses of wine were average....but what do you expect for $10. All-in-all a decent dinner in a outstanding setting with good service.
Amazing restaurant with excellent service and a lovely menu! Always a good time!
Beautiful location- amazing service and great food- perfect evening!!!
It was perfect from our arrival and visit to the glassblowing area and waterfall to our seats directly over the waterfall! The food was beautifully presented and the tastes were pleasures to the tongue. We loved it!
It was superb
Exceptional! This continues to be one of our favorite restaurants and we go to quite a few. Spending a long weekend in the Woodstock area we were fortunate enough to get a reservation. Lovely cocktails, well developed wine list, creative but comfortable menu (no minuscule portions or foams for pretentiousness) extremely well executed. Our server (Lisa) was attentive but not intrusive and oh so accommodating in suggesting an alternate side dish for our daughter’s amazing short rib entree. I strongly suggest trying to leave room for dessert. Ours was a mouth watering pecan, salted caramel tart. If this were not enough let’s add in the beautiful glass and stunning view (our recent visit gifted us with the hot air balloons floating directly by at sunset). I would pick apart something if I could put I’m delighted to say that they have left with me absolutely no reason.
This restaurant never disappoints. Food, ambiance, service are all top notch. Always a pleasure!
Wonderful dinner with great friends at Simon Pearce. Wendy found us an excellent table overlooking the river with a spectacular sunset. Top entrees were the Thai Pork Tenderloin and Lamb Rack. Learned about a new dessert that was superb: Pavlova. Try it if it's ever on the menu!
Once again a stellar performance by the folks at Simon Pearce. Wendy, the restaurant manager, never fails to amaze me. She is showing guest to their seat, busing tables, checking in with the kitchen and ensuring a flawless dining experience… Effortlessly.
This place is beautiful and we were treated so well. They made sure my fiance's birthday was special and a great surprise! Thank you so much!
Also, the food was delicious, the drinks were lovely and the service was perfect!
Simon Pearce is among a handful of the best restaurants I've ever experienced; it's a winning combination of the beauty of the location, their own glassware, the superb food, and the excellent and genuinely friendly service.
Beautiful restaurant and location..
As always we had a great experience. Our service was outstanding! Even though she wasn’t our server- Stephanie took extra good care of us like always. Our service was also outstanding. Thank you SO much!
