ordered food and drinks ,it took for ever , very slow service only one bartender for the whole place . only ordered chicken wings took over an hour decided to cancel order.

place is so disgusting compared to encore. you guys really need to step it up, between parking garage that is filthy and bathrooms and there is nobody going around wiping anything down.

The food here is very good and the prices imo reasonable compared to other higher end restaurants in some casinos. My only complaint is that they don't have their clam chowder every day! It's one of the best chowders I've ever had!

Menu choices were limited.
We were disappointed with the differences from previous pre-covid visits.

Prime rib and soup special were delicious. The burger was great also, cooked to perfection. Bartender Karen provided as with excellent service. The manger ran out food and checked in to make sure we enjoyed everything. Very accomodating with my gluten allergy.

We both had salmon doe dinner with an 8 oz. lobster tail. The lobster tail was so sweet. Also had clam chowder. Very good.

Dinner was amazing, filet mignon was delic. Service was excellent from both the host and our server. Great wine selection. Will be back!

Food and service were great. Happy to see this restaurant reopen. Menu is a big limited, but there is still a nice representation of steak and seafood.

Need to have a bigger menu. Hopefully when pandemic over it will go back to normal menu.

Many problems burned food sloooow service poorly trained staff
Just getting the right meal in front of the right person was a challenge
We really didnt like how the food was handled many dishes brought out to several tables together
You really dont want another table breathing on your food while theirs is delivered quite a strange behavior

We had an excellent experience on Saturday. Our server, Karen, was attentive and very friendly. The food has been downsized from high end to more of a comfort level, which is perfectly fine with me.

I'll be eating there regularly in the future.

Great service ... food was good not incredible. A bit pricy for it ... but you get a lot. I was expecting something different.

Truly, a diamond in the rough; who would think there would be such a nice restaurant in the casino in Plainville? The entire Plainridge Casino, including Slack's is smoke free - which is extremely attractive, but then Slack's restaurant itself tucked into the corner of the building offers true ambiance, class, service and tasty food - seafood and beef.
We were brought to our table by Paul, who is a charming and hospitable maitre d' and provided us the best seat in the house. Jay our exceptional waiter followed and was excellent throughout the night. Although, the casino can be very entertaining to many, we only went to Slack's and went home; worth the easy trip down Rt. 1 by Rt. 495 - parking galore or use the valet service!

We waited over an hour and never got our food!! We had to leave -- the manager never even comped us free food -- pathetic.

Everything was fine. The server was very attentive and the food was great. Can’t wait to go back again.

was recommended here by a friend 6.30 reservations and were sat down on time. ordered an appetizer and got scallops wrapped in prosciutto which came out fast and were very good. Entree was a different story and was quite a wait which was almost 30 minutes after apps. ordered 20oz ribeye which was cooked as ordered and tasted good but they forgot my baked potato. My wifes filet mignon was ordered med well and came out med rare but we waited so long to get it she didnt want to send it back. Waitress said the order took so long because my wife ordered med well. So much for that excuse. Drinks were good and reasonable.

not at all, it was 20 minutes before we saw a waitress, and the place was half full,. we didnot receive any bread although our surrounding tables had bread, when we finally asked we received 2 small rolls, it was an hour 10 minutes before we had dinner, my wife's surf and turf, the steak was charred and unapealing and her stuffed shrimp was cold. the entire meal took an hour and a half, without dessert. dont know where the problem was but it certainly needs fixing.Will not go there again

Waitress brought wrong side dish, when informed, brought the right one, but still kept both dishes on the bill

We had a 7:30 reservation, we arrived on time, just 2 of us. Our waitress Mary was good, she was definitely busy. We ordered cocktails and when they were delivered we ordered out dinner, surf and turf and a NY Sirloin. It was 45 minutes before our dinners arrived. I spoke to the manager, he said everyone was waiting an hour due to the $100,000 cash event happening in the casino. Well, there were many open tables in the restaurant. That comment did not make sense. He did offer to take 10% off of our bill. We still spent $125 for two people. food was good but we should not have waited that long for our meals. We have been here 3 or 4 times previously, without an issue

Had a friend from out of town visiting and we both enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere of Slack's. No more expensive than other restaurants. Waitress was very attentive and helpful explaining the dishes. Will go back again.

We had a wonderful experience celebrating a family member's 85th birthday. The food was delicious and the staff, professional and attentive.

The food was good, portion size good.
Service was lacking. Friendless was not there. Not genuine at all. Noise was poor but this was due to other patrons arguing very loudly. I have also eaten at the pub there and will be retuning. Service friendlier and genuine.

I never complain but I have to tonight. This was absolutely the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. I expect to wait on nye I know it’s not the best night to dine out. But with a prix fix menu at 85.00 pp I at the least expect a decent meal. 915pm Rezi was sat at 930pm. Host thanked for us waiting an hour and a half for our food and we said we just got there and was waiting for table. Should have known then. No server til 945pm restaurant was only half full. Took order came back cuz she forgot it. Then told us she put it in but forgot what we were drinking. No food until 1035. That was the appetizer crab cakes. Two Caesar salads never came. Meals came at 1045pm both were wrong supposed to be prime rib and it was a filet. The one that was supposed to be fillet was cooked wrong. Got server she went to remake. Got manager to nicely let him know didn’t care about waiting but then meals were wrong. Came back five minutes later with prime rib and said he took one meal off bill. Prime rib was not done medium it was so rare it was bleeding on plate. That’s a health code issue. Ate two bites of fillet two bites of prime rib all veggies cold. So disgusted asked for bill. Paid for the one meal we didn’t eat no salads and didn’t get the desserts. Just wanted out of there. Starving when we left after paying a 91.00 bill plus tip which we still left. I would never go back here. All servers looked miserable and outs said she was done. They all looked like they were. Poor manager just looked defeated. Bad service bad food I would never go back. Should have put the money in a slot machine and got a burger at the food court. Horrible ruined our night and my birthday

The dinner took 2.5 hrs. It was new years eve so there might have been a problem making and serving the meal. It was a fixed plate. 4 courses. Everything tasted great just too long to seat for a meal

Very disappointed, had reservations for dinner, which i had to confirm twice only to arrive and be told that it was a limited prearranged menu. I was not made aware of this, which i found frustrating as i said i had to confirm twice via email. They did not offer their signature 3lb lobster, only a stuffed option which they claimed was cooked to order but they couldn't steam them, they had to be stuffed, and the price was a $120, granted that included salad and sides, but 120 for a stuffed lobster? If i had known of the arranged menu, i would have gone to Fred and Steves instead.

The chefs in the kitchen need to come out and meet the guests to meet them and ask why the complaints
to keep the returns from going back to the kitchen....the food is always cold, and not prepared fresh.
You guys need to hear from us in the dining room and hear your problems to do a better job at our dinners to save the reputation of the restaurant so people will keep coming back to Slacks!

Reservation was for 5 pm. We sat right on time. Only one other table was seated. It was a restricted menu because of New Years Placed our orders around 515 Did not get served until 645 pm !!! Ordered salad not delivered. Order soft drink not delivered! All other tables being served. We were first told we had appetizers and then told the salad person was confused then we were told it was a new menu! Sorry but too many excuses and not sure what was true.
By the time we got the food we weren’t hungry!
Manager gave 25% off of bill. My opinion they should have comped the meal. Ruined our entire night
Don’t think we will be going back

I can't believe I waited so long to eat here. I'll be back again.
