We had a wonderful time and the service was excellent

The place is beautiful the wine selection was fantastic and the menu was very good. The tuna sashimi appetizer was excellent as well as the Thai shrimp and scallops. The swordfish had great flavor but was unfortunately overcooked. Overall, a very good experience.

Oh we wanted to love it...sigh. Restaurant was pretty. Service was fine. Drinks were good...food wasn’t. Bland watery Caesar salad, tough dried out swordfish. Just not up to par.

No longer owned by the original founder (Princeton, MA) but still an outstanding dining experience. highly recommended.

Safe.. comfortable... great food and service

In the COVID environment, I felt safe eating at this establishment. This is an upscale restaurant so the prices are reflective of its status. Our meals and service were very good and I would not hesitate to return.

The food was tasty and the only improvement opportunity that I can offer, is regarding the presentation of the mashed potato. I find it difficult to understand why an establishment of this calibre, would serve a scoop of mash, which just reminded me of school meals, or a very low class eating place.

Enjoyed the restaurant very much and this is only thanks to OpenTable. Right at opening time, We walked from our hotel room (in the Beechwood) and were told they couldn’t take us without a reservation and they were booked for the night. Open table gave me options all night to reserve a table so we made a reservation with them. Showed up and were seated right away.

Absolutely outstanding! The patio area was beautiful for outdoor dining, and the heaters added the right amount of warmth, while the tables were spaced safely far apart making us very comfortable. The menu was superb! Two of us had the Duck Special and it was the best duck they had ever had - fresh, tender, and so flavorful. The demi-glace was delicious! The Shrimp Carbonara was perfectly prepared with the shrimp cooked to perfection, and the dish was bursting with flavor, without being heavy. The Shrimp Cocktail was fresh, large, and perfectly cooked. We also enjoyed the hummus plate which was great, and the Caesar salad was fantastic as well. The waitress was delightful and was attentive and personable. Our friends had a wonderful time and we will be back again soon. Thank you for such an incredible dinner.

Dinner and service were wonderful and outside dining was enjoyed by both of us as we choose not to eat inside at this time. We will be back.

Outstanding food, service, and ambiance. We had a spectacular dinner set in a stunning atmosphere with a waterfall cascading in the background. Everyone loved their dinners. My friend and I had the Duck with Fig glaze and it was superb. It was cooked to perfection. My other friends had the Thai shrimp & scallops dish and the Salmon dish and said it was absolutely delicious. We can’t wait to go back.

Outstanding service and great food. The outdoor experience was pleasant and this is a great place to relax and enjoy a romantic dinner.

I love the spacious outdoor seating. Three servers were quite nice and attentive but my bouillabaisse was really salty and the shrimp rubbery. I was disappointed there but the oysters were good.

Enjoyed patio dining to celebrate a birthday. Server was excellent. Appetizers were great. Entrees around the table were delicious. Pan seared scallops cooked perfect. I would dine again and recommend trying it if you haven’t yet.

Food was inconsistent. Salmon and swordfish cook absolutely perfectly! Dessert was great but salads and sides very ordinary. Extremely expensive. Server was young but kind, mostly knowledgeable and semi-focused. She tried but needed better training. We felt safe sitting outside.

Sitting outside within the garden was great... hard to believe we were in the middle of a busy area.
Food and service was perfect... and the waitress saw that the breeze was a little chilly for a couple guest... heaters turned on and it was comfortable for all.

The staff went above and beyond to make my husband's pandemic birthday dinner on the patio special. The food is always amazing at Sonoma.

Wonderful experience! The ambience was so calming, and the dinner was absolutely flawless. Outdoor dining at Sonoma on a beautiful summer night was delightful, they have the most stunning patio. The waitstaff was superb, and the food and drinks were exceptional. Sonoma goes above and beyond. Highly recommend!

Food was great, the lobster rolls are a must try! Loved sitting on the outdoor patio with the waterfall. Was perfect for my older family who can’t do indoor dining

We have been going to Sonoma for many years. The Princeton location was flawless every time. Unsurpassed attention to detail with every experience.
The Beechwood location has been very “hit or miss”. This last evening was average at best. Perhaps it has something to do with “the new normal”.
We will go back however, and try a few more times.

Annual vacation dinner with family was wonderful in part because of the great outdoor dining space, great service and delicious food. Thank you all.

We sat outside in the garden patio area. We had a nicely shaded spot. It was a delightful experience for dining outside in the city. Menu was limited but our dinners were delicious. Service was excellent.

Breakfast was excellent and outdoor seating is very well distanced.

In the era of COVID it's hard to find a place to enjoy a meal that doesn't feel uncomfortable. Sitting outside at Sonoma is a great option, especially in the bad area with the astroturf. It's nice to feel like you're in a garden-like area and all the tables have umbrellas to keep cool. And most importantly the tables are genuinely distanced. Nearly all the places I see do not have a true six feet from the person to person at all the tables. The tables may be six feet apart but the people are not once sitting at them. Sonoma is somewhere you can feel comfortable.

I recommend the lunch menu which is available 'til 3:00. It's much more reasonable in price.

Food was good. Drinks were delicious! The service was absolutely abysmal. Our server forgot about us and we didn’t get to order drinks until 40 min after being seated. We walked by our server on the way to the bathroom. She was sitting at the bar, drinking a cocktail and swearing about a table who had an issue with their bill. She clearly hates her job and made us feel super uncomfortable. The hostess did her best to make up for the horrible server by checking in on us and apologizing for waits but it was a strange meal.
