I love this place! It's always a treat getting the shrimp & grits. Probably my favorite thing on the menu! You really can't go wrong with any dish there.

I have had great experiences in the pass at South city kitchen. Unfortunately New Year’s Eve was not worth the money. They had a set menu, but food was not up to par. Temperature of food was not good. Although the selections were good, but food tastes like it was sitting.
Service was just average. This young waitress was either new or they just wanted us not to stay Long. Never got water refilled and she never asked if we wanted a second drink. Desert choices was not good. Sorry have to give it a poor rating for last night’s dinner

Great food and great service!! They are charging a 20% gratuity instead of a simple tip. Although the servers know this they STILL worked their butts off making sure we had everything we needed. Great service and WONDERFUL food!!

Took my family of 5 to South City Kitchen on Christmas Eve night. We found out about 2 hours before our reservation that there was a fixed menu for $60 per person. This was not announced on the OpenTable reservation nor the confirmation email/text. There was also an additional 20% added to the bill before tip for the wait staff. We went ahead with the reservation and were very disappointed. The food was ok along with the service. But $400 for that meal was not worth it. We won’t be doing that again.

South City Kitchen in Vinings is a great place for a special occasion. The food is great and the ambience is upscale.

Excellent experience and great food. The restaurant was setup to keep everyone socially distanced and safe. The server was very nice and attentive. I highly recommend South City Kitchen.

Excellent food and even better service.
First time but not the last.

We celebrated our anniversary at South City Vinings and sat at the bar. The bartenders were attentive and recommended excellent cocktails that they had created. The fried green tomatoes are some of the best I have ever had. They do require masks when not at the table to come prepared.

Jameson was a great server and the smoked porch chop is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Can’t wait to come back here.

Great food, great service. Won’t get out of there under $100. FYI they add a 20% gratuity now for their wait staff (much needed). So you should add that to your budget.

Our server was phenomenal. Very personal but still extremely professional. I called it casually professional and it worked very well.

We had dinner with our dear friends and everyone said their dish was excellent. I highly recommend the pork chop and the Nashville Hot Catfish! Delicious and we will continue to dine here!!

Some of the Okra appetizer you couldn’t even chew and we got 2 servings. Use to think this was the best anywhere. I ordered the Duck...did not care for the turnips or kale. Needed more of the molasses sauce or prefer a berry duck sauce. Should serve this dish with a sweet potato side or mashed potato side, and much more duck berry sauce. We come for special occasions but will choose somewhere else the next time.

I don’t understand why there is a 20% service charge in lieu of gratuity & then our server explained we could leave him cash as gratuity. It needs to be 1 or the other

Given the times, felt absolutely comfortable eating inside the restaurant given their Covid protocols. Both the food and service was great as usual. Won’t hesitate to go back.

We had Thanksgiving dinner here, but also come 3-4 times a year. The service is impeccable and the food always amazing.

This is always a great time. I wasn’t expecting the preset menu for Thanksgiving, but I wasn’t disappointed. The food is always amazing and today was no different. Our server Harry seemed that he might be new to the serving industry. What he lacked in table manicuring and maintenance he more than made up for in his genuine care and concern that our family had a good time. He was attentive without being overbearing. He managed coursing our meal out nicely, kept the beverage glasses full, and you could tell he was smiling behind his mask each time he came to check on us. The only reason I mention the table maintenance is because of the high standard South City Kitchen holds themselves to. Nothing else about our experience could have been any better. From the warm greet at the door to the social distancing guidelines to the array of helpful staff that engaged with our table for any reason, it was all awesome per usual. Every time we come here it always feels like having dinner at a close friend’s house. No matter date night or family dinner, South City Kitchen Vinings is always at the top of our list.

Food was excellent (always consistent) and the service perfect, as our server let us enjoy some girl time together without hurrying us along.

I went here for a graduating nursing school and I had a wonderful time! The staff was very nice and made sure everything was okay with us. My server Harry was really nice and a great server! That was my first time eating here the trout and steak were my fave dishes! Everything was amazing. The food, ambiance and my server!

Arrived 15 minutes before reservation. Staff was great with drink orders prior to seating. Table was ready on time and in the proper location (outside area). Jamal was very helpful on what to order and never made us wait for refills or extra orders. Great job Jamal and South City Kitchen

Royal Prince wine is amazing along with the pimento cheese and chicken!

We celebrated our anniversary at SouthCity Kitchen. The food was great, as usual. Our server surprised us with a delicious mini dessert for free in honor of our anniversary. They are really taking COVID procedures seriously. We have only gone to a few restaurants during the pandemic and this is the safest we have felt.
