South Ocean Grill

This little restaurant has excellent service, delicious food, and very fair prices. The meals are made with care with fresh ingredients and more than proper seasoning. Our waitress made us feel at home and gave us a fantastic customer experience. The menu is simple and to the point. My compliments to the owner and all of the wonderful staff.

Quaint hidden gem in Patchogue. Specialty seasonal cocktails started off the evening. Nice menu for all tastes to choose from in addition to specials. Filet was perfectly cooked with Red Wine peppercorn sauce. Wine list very reasonable. Wish I had saved room for dessert!! A must to visit off the hustle and bustle of Main Street.

Food as great and so was the service. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but it was deceiving my warm inside. Strongly recommend.

Mediocre to say the least. Ordered grilled artichoke. They came out quite charred but were actually cold inside??? My dinner salad was with scallops! Scallops were not hot and salad didn’t make a lot of sense... my husband liked his soup. Don’t think I need to go back!

The food was spectacular. We can't wait to go back. Very busy and noisy. Could use some acoustic help. Service was okay but not great. The app's were spectacular: spinach dip, goat cheese, grilled artichokes. The Roquefort burger was excellent after I sent it back to Roquefort cheese. The sea bass was excellent. The only issue was the instruction for butter on the side not top were ignored.The salmon was perfect..

I loved it and have recommended it to a few friends since my visit. The noise factor is a big problem but I will return.

I absolutely love this place, it's super cute and food is amazing, the chopped kale salad is my favorite.

Good food, good service

The food was very good despite a limited menu and it was presented beautifully. Very good service as well (didn’t get a refill on my water despite having an empty glass in plain view) but considering the steep prices and very little ambiance, I doubt if it’s worth coming back. If you live in the neighborhood, it may be worth it for a casual place to go for a pricey meal. Was with my boyfriend....we both ordered fish entrees (I had 3 scallops with risotto and he had red snapper) and a flatbread appetizer. He had a drink and I had water. No dessert and with tax and tip, the bill was $125. I gave it 4 stars because the food was tasty and the waiter was nice.

Delicious. Fresh. Wonderful jalapeño margarita. Very friendly staff. Lighting, high hats, were too bright. Yet, cute candles hanging from ceiling. LOVE the light on the bathroom faucet ( Sorry to spoil the surprise for those of you who have not been there yet) .

good food no ambiance. We were in and out in an hour , so if you looking to chill out and and take your time choose-another restaurant. Oh if it's a cold night wear something warm; I find the restaurant very drafty and cold. With that being said still great food!

Food was great. I had Crispy Calamari and Almond Crusted Branzino and Creme Brulee Cheesecake!

Best food, so fresh. Great house wine as well. I been there so many times and not once did I leave there disappointed. One of my favorite restaurants.

The Grill really knocked it out of the park again. Perfectly done herb crusted salmon over a lively pesto couscous . Hubby’s duck over risotto (a special I hope earns a right on the regular menu) he said was spectacular. Only con is that servers never offer a pepper mill - always have to ask- and more variety on the wine list for us regulars- otherwise still our go-to place for a great meal!

Pleasant surprise. Cozy place located in what used to be a house about one block from the water. E manager was our server and was on it! Food was fabulous and service was attentive. Definitely will return

South Ocean Grill Is One Of My Most Favorite Restaurants , I Stumbled onto this fabulous find a year ago , I have been back several times, Love the scallops with risotto, oh the key lime pie is Delicious. The Fried Calamari is so tender ,Keep it in mind for Valentines Day you will Love it

I would recommend! It’s just so small so we waited awhile for our reservation. Food is delicious though.

I loved my fish and risotto my wife liked her ribs but the bbq sauce was not to her taste. Overall great meal super service.

The grill continues to be our no-brained, go-to for dinner - especially during the week when pace is slower and room a little quieter- as a regular I keep hoping they change up their wine list and offer more variety but glad they keep my faves on the menu ie rock shrimp, kale salad and any fish or steak dish- always prepared to perfection.
