Called to ask when the kitchen closed and they told me around 10:30. in time and when I showed up 20 minutes later they said that they closed and I told him I just spoke to them on the phone about tonight they refused to give us a table to sit down and eat and made us leave
It is a great concept for eat all you want. You can order multiple times from an iPad. The shrimp on skewers are really tasty. Stir fry udon is good too. Sushi is good but not as good as I hope. Lots of variety. They forgot our miso soup and we didn't asked as we are heading out.
Awesome for groups.
Food was kind of stale especially the shrimp tempura. The sushi had the rice separate from the fish easily
Reasonable price, good value for all you can eat sushi. Not outstanding, but enjoyed it.
Great food with nice view! Good variety and efficient service.
Goto place for Sushi at lunch for large groups. Ala carte or all you can eat —- both are great options.
Service was fine and food good. They go with the price. Not funny that each order we made, should be reviewed and approved by a waitress on the tablet. So, why do you have tablets in place? Not useful at all.
Anyways, not a lot options in deserts and the few they have, are an overcharge in your invoice.
Good atmosphere and location, menu wasn’t too diverse. There are definitely more options around the Younge Dundas area. Also they do not take debit. Very unfortunate as a large group of my friends only use debit versus credit. Staff was extremely nice, friendly and helpful so I give it a good overall rating.
Have always enjoyed this restaurant and it was our go to place when in the neighbourhood. This time was a just a horrible dining experience. When we arrived our plates were dirty. My mothers had dirt, mine had a hair. The tempura was soggy due to the grease. Our appetizer of soup and salad came at the end of the meal. They dropped one off 20 mins later we did not have the other one. We had to ask for it 3 times. Finally came when we were finished eating. Did not enjoy having post dinner soup. Not sure what happened but it was not the usual pleasured dinning experience we have came to expect here.
I love this place. Im not from Toronto so I cannot get to go often, but I go every time Im in Toronto.
Some food came late to our table and the desert only limited one per person and we are not a big eaters and I don't think 31.00 plus tax is worth it.
This is an all you can eat sushi bar. I came here for lunch. My experience was okay. I would attempt to get there earlier and not on the weekend as there is an extra premium applied to the cost of your meal on Fri, Sat, Sun of $1.00 for lunch. For the most part everything tasted good but not great. There were some pieces of sushi and rolls that had stale seaweed. The seaweed on these pieces were not crunchy and tended to be chewier than normal. There is also no sashimi. I probably wouldn’t come back here again for AYCE
We knew services will not be good so we expected the worst and we were right... all servers have an angry look on their faces and generally rude. But again we just ordered from the tablet and they come over and confirm the order and give us some bad attitude lol
Booked a table on Open Table. The day we turned up, the staff were all very perfunctory - I would have expected them to be polite and courteous at the least, but they weren't.
We were shown to our table, but no one assisted us in how to order the food. We had an idea of how to order from having been brought here by a friend last year, but we didn't know enough. Would have been nice to be given a tutorial, so we didn't waste time figuring out how to place the order.
There's no sashimi in the lunch menu, and this is not advertised anywhere. You come to a sushi buffet, you expect sashimi - we had to ask, and then found out it's only available for dinner. This should be clearly signposted everywhere.
The food itself was great - can't complain about it. What an assortment of sushi! We loved every bit. Truly outstanding. Yes, the AYCE is expensive, but you can do it justice because it's all so tasty.
I booked through Open Table with the specific instruction that this was for a special occasion - usually this means that the staff will check with you to provide some kind of celebratory element to your meal. No one checked or acknowledged that I'd written anything about a special occasion, so we didn't get anything to celebrate. What's the point of booking in advance this way then?
The place was way too noisy - I know it's busy, but we could hardly hear ourselves think!
It's definitely worth going back and enjoying the food.
Sushi was good, environment a bit loud...it’s Friday night at Yonge/Dundas though so I get it. I wasn’t blown away considering that dinner and a glass of wine for 2 was $90 before tip, but I’d likely go back.
Food was great. Did not find my reservation that was made on Open Table 6 hours in advance. Was told sometimes it comes late. What was the point?
Great place, bright an airy. The patio is quiet or moderately noisy, inside can be quite noisy at times. The food is in general quite good but the dessert offerings are quite poor, there used to be more variation, that was a bit of a downer.
The servers were professional however not too friendly.
But in general a very good experience, will go again.
Staff is very friendly, quick and responsive.
The food has a lot of variety and is very quick.
Two persons in our group ordered food on the all you can eat tablet and it took 45 minutes to be delivered. Really frustrating for them to watch the rest of us eat since they didn't want what we ordered from the menu selections. Why such a long wait on a Wednesday night?
Food was good and the patio was nice!
It was delicious as all the previous times I have been there.
-good music (too loud)
-Unfriendly waiter staff
-comfy booths and couches
-makes no sense that pop isn't included with such high price
-seaweed paper too thick and chewy (not high quality)
Rooftop had amazing views and food was good but it came out at all different times and service was poor. They need to supply all guests with a menu. We had 5 and had to pass around an iPad to order. They didn’t check back often and we had to call them over. That said, the food was very good but the overall experience was off. A few minor tweaks and it could be amazing.
Food was really good. Had a la cart and it came out to only $40 for 3 people. Only negatives were it was very noisy and they brought our appetizer Last. Overall would recommend
Clean the patio it had garbage lying around not as fresh as I expected
Just a bit too loud, couldn't hear myself or myself or my friend.
The food was amazing as always. We have been here before and it never disappoints. It was quite busy on Saturday night, so the noise level was a bit high. The only thing was the table we got, which was a very small one close to the kitchen entrance, which made it quite busy with people walking by, and since it was small, it was hard to put all the food into it sometimes.
Good food and environment. All of the workers were amazing . The prices are good and the “All you can eat “ option is perfect
Not many selections for an all you can eat sushi place. Some desert are additional cost. Food can be tasteless or salty.
Great place for sushi, beautiful presentation and big portions.
Food was fresh and tasty. Orders weren't all efficiently delivered but talking to server cleared that up. Some quantities were hard to judge how much to order.
Desert is not good, don't have much variety. everything else is good
Delicious food, excellent variety, and prompt, friendly service!
Food is great and value excellent when doing all you can eat. Great variety available.
Sushi is awful to taste. And the service is just awful
The music isn't typically Asian, the servers are rather distant
Excellent food + price, but the servers were a bit rude. The waitress kept slamming dishes on our table and was very dismissive when answering questions. There was no altercation nor did we have any arguments - she just seemed very passive aggressive. I have been here many times and will be here again, but I would not have made the same decision if that was my first time here.
We have been to this location before and it seems as if the selection was much less. the quality of the food ordered seemed rushed and not up to par. All the additional costs are ridiculous like for green tea that is free at every other AYCE Sushi place was extra. they had maybe 3 dessert options. very few rolls to choose from.
After we got home i think they may have set our iPad onto the lunch menu yet charged us for the dinner menu.
the service was slow and my water was not topped up once, i never got the side of mayo i asked for. i was just not overly impressed by this visit. it was a let down and will not return.
Love the food. But it was so hot in the restaurant. Made it hard to enjoy .
