Maurice was an awesome manager and Carlos was a great waiter. Definitely get the key lime pie!
Not what I expected.
This is a fun venue in the stable. The food and service were great. We enjoyed the salad and the split the bbq platter. The brisket and pulled pork along with the bbq sauce were tasty. The star was the corn bread pudding! It was a delicious surprise side that complemented the bbq perfectly!
55th Birthday celebration.
We were very pleased with our lunch at the Stable Cafe. Carlos, our waiter, was excellent and very attentive to our needs, and we were very happy to see that social distancing & other COVID-19 precautions were not only in place, but were being well-enforced. The food was delicious, though I would encourage diners to come with an appetite! The portions were quite large, and even though we THOUGHT we were hungry, there was just no way to finish it all - - let alone to sample some of their delicious-sounding desserts!
We have been to the Biltmore Estate before but never ate in one of the restaurants. This was the first time so we put in a reservation early (what with covid who knew if you would even get a table). Great choice Carlos was an excellent server, our time was not rushed, food delicious, we had the lobster roll and the sampler platter. Do consider making reservations if you plan to eat because you will be sure to get a table. The Biltmore changes the length of it's tours and what you see. At present allow 1-hour to 1 1/2 hours for the tour.
Waiter forgot to put in food order. When it came it was wrong. Gave us a free dessert for the mistake. So happened we weren't in a hurry but felt the need to give feedback.
Very convenient for lunch after touring the Biltmore house then walk it off touring the gardens and conservatory. Drinks were quenching and food tasty but a little greasy for us. Ask for a stsll booth...very fun.
Lovely historic setting and delicious food. Interesting regional Appalachian foods.
I decided to try something I'd never had before--a bison burger. I was alittle afraid that I would not like a sandwich with a jam on it but it was delicious!! My husband uses a walker and they were very accommodating with our seating. Our lunch was a very good experience!!
Celebrating my wife’s birthday...excellent food and service. They even gave my wife a complimentary birthday dessert !
We really enjoyed our experience and meal! The booth was a bit difficult to slide into and we were seated in the very back corner which wasn't ideal, however someone’s gotta sit there! I understand that. The food was excellent, especially the warm pimento cheese dip, tuna salad sandwich, and the roasted chicken! Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal, one of the best I've ever had. Such a delight! It was a bit pricey, like $14 for a tuna sandwich, however that's to be expected at a tourist location. I would absolutely return and recommend!
The food presentation was nice. My tuna salad sandwich was tasty, but the macaroni salad was undercooked. The burgers and fries were good. Service was somewhat slow.
We ate in the Stable Cafe. Service and food was excellent. Food was plentiful, and the ambiance was nice and easy going.
Server was Paula & she was excellent. Food slightly overpriced. Liked the idea of the free pen. We have eaten here many times & always enjoy your restaurant. Thank you.
I have eaten at the Stable Cafe many, many times and can always count on the food to be wonderful and the service to be outstanding.
Delicious food. The plates are full and hot. Key Lime pie, melts in your mouth.
Bbq sandwich is wonderful.
Definitely get a reservation. The food is all amazing and the servers (we had Carlos, who was so kind and amazing) are more than willing to help with any questions or needs you may have
The BEST part about it was the server. She made our day!
There were booths available but the lady took us to a table. We had to ask for a booth. We were on time and should have been offered the booth first.
The waitress brought the men the wrong beer. They both asked for the Dark Cedric beer but she brought light. They just felt sorry for her and didn't say a word.
Seated promptly, clean inviting atmosphere with attention paid to COVID concerns, friendly attentive service, good tasty fresh food with unexpected nice touches, prices on the high side but not unexpected and worth the comfortable ambiance and good food.
Long wait today, even with a reservation. Food was fabulous as always, and the wait staff is top-notch.
Great food and service! Overall a very nice experience on the grounds of the Biltmore Estate.
Most of the food was good but is overpriced for what you get. The kitchen is very small and limited. This shows in what few items are available on the menu. Most are things that can be prepared ahead of time in a larger kitchen. We got the deviled eggs as an appetizer and they were extremely salty. I wouldn't order them again. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich and I had chopped brisket. They were both very good and full of flavor.
Amazing food and our server was fantastic! Great birthday lunch!
This is an amazing place to eat. The food was some of the best food I have ever eaten. Service is great and attentive but not intrusive. Ambiance can't be beat anywhere. Also a very unique setting in an original horse stalls on the Vanderbilt's Biltmore estate. Absolutely worth every cent and then some.
This was our first visit to The Biltmore and choosing The Stable for lunch was the best choice we made. The food was delicious and service was spot-on.
Out of every place we ate at the Biltmore estates this was the best food. So good.
Incredible food, friendly & fast service, and a very unique setting!
Very good .. Enjoyed the food and the service was outstanding.
My husband and I both got the burgers because the beef was raised at the Biltmore, so we were expecting juicy and tender. They were overcooked and burnt. Frankly, unless I found something else that looks appealing on the menu, I wouldn't bother going back. However our waiter Jeff was outstanding so they get points for good service. Very pricey for lunch.
I had the BLT special of the day. It was excellent. The fries were average. I also chose the lemonade, which was not very good. My waitress was wonderful. She was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. She checked on me often without being bothersome. She brought me water without my having to ask and as I observed her helping other patrons I noticed the same treatment.
Everything was great! Really loved the salad with watermelon and basil.
The location is really convenient to go to after the house tour.
Also perfect to grab a beer and some food after walking in the sun for hours. The food was really spectacular, would definitely go there again as the service was great too.
Very personable service, delicious food and safe atmosphere.....all during the pandemic.
Food was excellent and plentiful!
The atmosphere was nice and the service was very good. It was the food that wasn't very good. I had the black bean burger and it was terrible. It was dry and flavorless. I had to steal some of my husbands bbq so I would have something to eat.
Food is a bit over priced. My hamburger was over cooked and fries were limp. My husbands dinner of the smoked plate was good. Our waiter was outstanding, he made us excellent drinks. When I said my meal was only ok, he got his mgr, who was very kind, and comped my meal. So excellent service, just needs some food tweaking.
