The food was great and will do it again on the next visit.
Best burger ever!!!
Carlos our server was incredible!
Also this is 2nd time I’ve sent in this survey???
Had a lovely lunch in the upstairs area. Our server, Haley, was excellent and very attentive.
Food was tasty and fresh.
What a wonderful experience from being seated quickly to the end of lunch. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was out of this world! We had the sampler platter for two and the portion size was huge. The brussels sprouts were out of this world! Can not wait to visit again.
The food was excellent, the service was good, and the location is amazing.
Had lunch while on tour at the Biltmore. Seemed like a very historical building. Tons of wood. Menu was short and sweet. I had the half roasted chicken and my wife a fresh crisp salad. Service was very fast, like we had lunch 5 minutes after we ordered. But it was really good. Restaurant was about half full. Great spot while touring the Estate.
Neat experience and good food. Located next door to the mansion, so it was perfect as we left the house tour.
Lunch after enjoying the Biltmore House
We enjoyed our seating in a stable, the food, and our waiter, whose wit was special. The serving was generous.
Excellent food. Excellent service. Got the sampler platter. Chicken was better than pulled pork and bbq brisket, but all was good.
Very nice informal atmosphere, server friendly and efficient, food good
Always a great experience. Staff is helpful with suggestions and flexible on options. Good prices considering the venue and sustainable ingredients. The iced tea is always perfect!
This unique venue is located in the restored stable house at The Biltmore Estate. The room, a large stable space with original tile walls includes booths set in the horse stalls with the feeders still intact. The place was boisterous as it was lunchtime and packed with servers bustling to get diners and Biltmore House guests in and out to make their Tour times. I wished I had written down the name of our server because she was the epitome of casual southern charm. When we informed her we had 50 minutes for lunch before our ticket time for a tour of the Biltmore House, she did everything to make sure we got served quickly and brought our check before we were even finished. This was much appreciated.
My wife LOVES pot roast and ordered that. What came out was a MASSIVE portion of pot roast on a bed of white cheddar macaroni and cheese with braised winter greens and a demi-glace on top. The cheese sauce on the macaroni was more like a bechamel, but she had no complaints! She could barely get through half the pot roast and our server ("bless her heart") kept asking my wife if she found the food to her satisfaction. Absolutely she did!
I ordered the Blue Ridge Spicy Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich, tossed in a spicy vinegar with housemade dill pickles and a pimento cheese spread with housemade potato chips. I'm not a fan of the local cheese spread, but that's just me. The rest was delicious!
This meal was good to begin with, but made great by the amazing service of our server and a unique environment. Recommend this place for a lunch whether you're visiting the BIltmore House or not.
After taking nearly three hours to tour the Biltmore residence, relaxing for a late lunch here and the Stable was perfect. The food was wonderful and the wait staff was beyond helpful with our selections and service. The pricing was surprisingly reasonable for the food when compared to the trinkets in the gift shop! I'd highly recommend making your reservations via Open Table in advance and enjoy a stress free and welcomed experience!
We were seated promptly (we did have reservations) and the server appeared in less than a minute. She was professional, gracious, very helpful and had a sparkling personality. She took our order and lunch was served about 6 - 7 minutes later. The three of us each had a different sandwich and all three of them, plus the sides, were excellent, as was the iced tea. She checked on us at least three times and brought us our check at the appropriate point.
The bill (not including tip) was $60 and change. Considering the atmosphere, great food and exemplary service we thought it was very well worth it. When we return to the Biltmore we will make it a point to stop in again!
Great server, Carlos made the experience enjoyable
This restaurant is a "go for the atmosphere, not the food." We ordered the chicken salad sandwiches and they came on large croissants. Each half looked as though it was really large, but then when you started it and took the top slice off, you saw it was two large pieces of leaf lettuce with a scoop of the chicken salad set in the middle of the half, so it appeared to be a great sandwich...when you spread out the salad, it barely covered the bottom half of the croissant, so if you enjoy croissants and lettuce with a side or mediocre potato chips and a couple pickle slices, you're in luck. I think if the salad was well-balanced with the croissant and lettuce, it would have been much more acceptable.
When you're at Biltmore, you eat kind of where you're at on your self-guided route, but when I saw they took open table reservations, I just chose what was available at the time we wanted, two o'clock. I think in nice weather I'd just as soon eat in the courtyard of the House which is lovely, but the weather was chilly, so indoors seemed best when I reserved the day before.
Great comfort food and HUGE servings. Deserts were well presented.
Food was good but nothing exceptional especially considering that this is part of the Biltmore.
We enjoyed a very good meal and Kia(sp?) was very good.
We literally sat in a horse stall (converted) and enjoyed excellent cuisine with fresh, local ingredients, served by our waitress with the warmest Southern hospitality. Terrific late day meal.
We've eaten here many times and have always thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I love how the menu changes seasonally.
Good food and great location when visiting Baltimore Estate. The service was good and good value. Enjoyable being in a historical setting.
Great - daughter’s moving
We loved the Stable Cafe. The citrus salad with the Salmon was the perfect light lunch that filled me up. The pot roast was amazing too! My nieces loved the atmosphere as well!!
Great service and great food.
My friend and I split a salad and beef stew. It was great and plenty for both of us!
Great food and service! The Biltmore is beautiful!!
Carol, our waitress, was very attentive and friendly which made the visit that much more enjoyable. The chicken sandwich I had and the chicken salad sandwich my wife had were both delicious. Would definitely go back.
The receptionist was not helpful & slightly rude. The server was not friendly and needed some personal hygiene as well. Everything else was lovely.
It was a wonderful experience! Delicious food, excellent service and the restaurant done in a former stable made for a fun time!
We enjoy the Stable Cafe. This visit, we were seated at a booth and found it to be difficult to manage with 6 people. There was barely room for the plates and area was simply too narrow. We aren't large people. :-) Next time, we'll specify a table. Overall, always a good choice.
A wonderful outing with my granddaughter was made even more special at The Stable Cafe. Kendall is gluten intolerant and our server was very helpful with his suggestions. I was a great day!
This is my favorite of all of the restaurant options on Biltmore Estate. The food is delicious, the service is great, and there’s a wonderful variety to suit any taste. On this visit the service was fast and friendly and the food was exactly what we ordered, including our specific requests for substitutions. Wonderful visit!
Food was good. Great service. Conveniently located on property. Pricey, which is to be expected when dining on-site. A good choice when visiting Biltmore Estates.
My wife’s lunch was really good but my sampler was very bad. Our server was un trained no personality.
The croissant for the chicken salad sandwich didn't seem fresh. The chicken salad was all right but not fantastic.
Iced tea was great.
The dessert, bourbon ice cream over apple tart was superb!
We loved sitting in the beautiful stable in a stall - - cozy!
Deviled eggs and the chicken sandwich left much to be desired and were way overpriced. I should have gotten a hot dog outside. My wife really like the kale salad
The café was very busy so the service was a bit challenged. The waiter was extremely friendly and the food was good but not great. I ordered a hamburger on a gluten-free bun with chips. Perhaps if I had ordered something else it may have been better. I usually love the stable café but I wasn’t quite as impressed as I normally am. Possibly it was just an off day. I will come back as I always eat lunch at the café when I’m visiting the house.
