I had the filet mignon; my guest had the prime rib. Both were outstanding - tender and flavorful. The service was great. Do not go if you are in a hurry as this is gourmet dining, not fast food. We finished our salads and it was perhaps 5 minutes before our entrees were served. It was a nice, relaxing pace and we did not feel like they were rushing to get us fed and out the door. The salads were great with a nice flavorful blend. Our sides, port mushrooms and loaded baked potato were great. If I was being picky, I would suggest they open the potato wider and put more "stuff" on it as I love bacon and cheese. The dessert (5-layer lemon cake with blueberries) was tasty, light and refreshing. Their desserts are big enough for 2 to share. The prices seem a little high but this is a first-class restaurant. The food is great, the service is outstanding and non-obtrusive. You are not rushed so it is a very relaxing meal. The staff is knowledgeable of the menu and makes great suggestions. Overall, the prices are probably justified. Even though it was crowded, there was not a lot of noise and we were able to easily carry on a conversation using a normal voice. As the name implies, this is a wood fired grill so you do have the smell of wood burning and food cooking throughout the restaurant. You have the aroma of the wood fire but none of the heat - the dining area temperature was perfect for us.

Excellent food, excellent service, little secret gem hidden in Smyrna. Will be back soon!

We had an excellent server; very prompt and she had a great attitude. The food was great, and the Brussels Sprouts were the best I’ve tasted anywhere. We had crab legs and they were good but we’re too expensive for what they were. It was an expensive meal but we enjoyed it.

Great service. Great environment, food, and drinks. Perfect place to meet up with friends.
