Delicious food. Went with my Mom and we had a great time here. The cocktails are interesting. I got a bourbon cocktail that was smoked and delicious. My Mom had a burger and I had mahi mahi tacos and we had some shrimp and prime rib appetizers which were great. The waitress was nice and the ambiance and food were great. Thank you
Had lunch with my daughter for her birthday. Our waiter Tom was very attentive, and made my daughter happy. The food was wonderful as usual, my filet cooked perfectly. Will definitely come back again.
The only place in DELCO to get a first rate pub burger...made with ground brisket perfectly grilled.. It is a cut above all other burgers. I eat little red meat but when I do it is a great burger and Stephens is my stop when I get the call. Due to covid I have not been here since Feb...they haven't missed a beat.
My only issue is that they did not address my Open Table reservation and I was not given a point credit. I will addressthis directly with Open Table.
The atmosphere is cozy. The food is outstanding. Service was pretty good. The dividers for COVID are very fashionable.
The worst. There was an obnoxiously loud group of grown adults who were so drunk they could barely stand up ruining dinner for everyone within earshot of them. Food was terrible and WILDLY overpriced. Not to mention there were absolutely no Covid precautions - the bartender wasn’t wearing a mask at all, staff and waiters had them hanging off while walking inside. And when we mentioned all of this to the owner he made no effort to apologize or even pretend he was going to speak to his employees - he was too busy smoking a cigarette outside with the bartender.
Don’t come here.
The food was delicious! The service was terrific! My reason for four stars rather than five was the condition of our booth. The seat had holes and tears; needed to be replaced.
Our meal was delicious! Enjoyed our server Dan who was very helpful with his suggestions.
Good service, very good food, nice atmosphere. We've been here 3-4 times in the last few years and will continue to go back.
We sat outside for an early dinner. Weather was perfect and we enjoyed an excellent meal served by a very pleasant waitress.
The food was absolutely delicious. The service was great. We really enjoyed eatting outside.
Excellent and safe indoor dining experience.
This was my first time in downtown Media wasn’t sure where to eat and this restaurant came up as highly rated. We had a drink at the bar and probably should’ve just stayed there bc the bar food seemed to look decent and they had a menu which varied from the dinner menu. The other menu did not match the online version and the prices were WAY higher than advertised. The only decent thing we had was the French onion soup and the side of fries. My husband got the surf and turf special and I got a stuffed lobster tail special. Both entrees were SO RIDICULOUSLY overpriced ($63 and $48). The food was NOT EDIBLE, the lobster was over cooked, the steak was sub par quality not that of a filet. We also ordered baked clams which were so gross I spit it out after chewing on broken shells. We left after paying about $230 fir food we didn’t even eat! We wrapped it to go then threw it out after leaving. Words can’t even explain how much I WOULD NOT recommend eating here. I don’t mind paying high prices for dinner when it is Capital Grille type quality. This is among one of the worst meals I ever had!!
Decided to take my family of 6 here l am I'm glad we did. The entire family enjoyed themselves.
Food was awesome. So was the service!!! Can’t wait to go back
Very crowded for Covid times, we would have left but we had a gift card about to expire and they did find us a table back in unused area away from everyone. Just surprised with social distancing every table was full. Not everyone wearing masks while walking around including bartender. Food for price is just okay.
They had the wrong number for the reservation although the number I had entered was correct on my end of Open Table. The service was very bad and inattentive for a pricier restaurant.
The food was excellent as was the service. We ate outside and enjoyed the fresh air and felt very comfortable
We took our Grandson for the first time. He wanted steak. He Loved it!
Great service, great food, great drinks. Always a favorite for date night.
Enjoyed the outside dining. Had a lot of room between tables. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. Only thing was another larger table had kids that they let run all around dashing in between tables & nearly crashing into to them. But, still worth 4 stars.
While the food was amazing, the food did take a little longer than normal to come out of the kitchen. I really enjoyed the meal.
My friend and I wanted a girls night out for dinner so we stopped by Stephen’s on State. We were able to sit outside which was very nice. Although the food was very good you could tell that they were extremely short staffed. I felt really bad for our server Ashley because it looked like she hadn’t had a break all day. We made sure to let her know that we saw how hard she was working and we appreciated her. I would return in the future for dinner but I think they need more staff to make things run quicker and smoother.
The food here is outstanding.. I had one of the specials, stuffed shrimp with crab, lobster sauce and mushroom and artichoke risotto. Absolutely delicious!
My only issue is it seemed like our waiter was super busy and somewhat distracted. His name was Tom. Also, it was my
Mother in laws birthday and we notated that in the reservation but the waiter nor the hostess acknowledged this. To me, good customer service is reviewing these things when someone takes the time to do the reservation and is coming there for a special event or occasion.
We started outside at a table however given the weather was a bit colder they moved us to indoor as we were chilly. The lighting is not the best inside and also under our table there were forks and knives perhaps from the previous table? But otherwise it was fine.
Would definitely return here again I would just say perhaps more servers and a bit more focus on customer service!
The food didn't taste as good has it has in the recent past. My Crab Imperial Stuffed Lobster Tail I ordered, was not worth the price. I knew it was a 4 oz tail, but the amount of stuffing was minimal and most of my plate was full of risotto. Stephen's has always been a nice place to have dinner, so I'll toss this up to a bad night.
BUT, the worse part of the evening was the fact that we got a bill with someone else's credit card attached to the portfolio when we hadn't even received our own bill yet. And, once we received our bill, no one came back to our table to collect what we owed. I had to chase down the host to pay our bill.
The food was outstanding, our server Kelly was exceptional as always. It was a special treat to eat inside!
This Place was horrible. The server/hostest offered us Coke, but then it was nasty, so when questioned, she exclaimed that it was RC!
The deco was drab, dark, dusty, in terrible need of repair and musky.
The food was tasty, but I will not return.
Very underwhelmed. The menu on opentable was not what was presented to us. There was one person serving the lunch crowd on a weekend so while he did the best he could service was slow and the burger took about a half hour to cook. Burger was good but the chicken was over cooked and hard and the chicken Parmesan was not very good either.
This was our first "post-covid" dinner out and couldn't have been more pleased with everything. Greetings were polite, seated immediately - all tables are socially distanced and all staff wearing masks. The food was delicious, highly recommend the shrimp lejon! NY strips were cooked perfectly, and the martini's were on point! Definitely going back again soon, as we really miss going out!
Huge portions and everything was beautifully prepared
It was a lovely night to eat outside! Service and food were great! Thanks!
There was a bug in my drink. The waiter addressed it, however it was off putting. They also had a limited menu and did not have what I originally wanted to order. Will likely return as the food was delicious.
What a wonderful night out for my wife and I. From the moment we walked in the door
Food was great. Ambiance was chill.
Was very disappointed the food had no teeth and they upped the price is outrageously
As usual the food was so good and the service excellent. They have figured out how to social distance with the seating arrangements by putting beautiful room dividers between the tables.
My husband and I visited for the first time. We arrived and noticed social distancing and all rules/regulations were being followed. We sat down, not a fancy place. We waited a while for our server, Tom, who was fantastic! He was attentive, even though he was very busy. We ordered drinks, took a while. Received our appetizer luke warm. Very tasty, but not hot. We both ordered wine and steak for dinner.
We received our wine in dirty wine glasses. Our food was phenomenal. A bit overpriced, but it was cooked perfectly.
Outdoor seating. Delicious food as always! Never disappointed.
Service was good. Hot inside the restaurant, ordered a porter house steak and got a NY strip i asked the waitress she said it was a porter house. (It was not) my steak we over cooked as well. For the prices of dinner its not in my eyes worth it. I rather go to Butcher and Singer in the city.
With having over 20 years of culinary and hospitality background, I take my dining experiences to heart. I have to say this experience fell flat.
Items ordered were; veal marsala with mashed potatoes and string beans, crab cakes with mashed potatoes and spinach, and fried calamari to start.
First the positives. Our server Tom was an amazing server, knowledgeable, attentive, and personable. If you do take a chance here ask for Tom.
Calamari. Seasoned well and presented well. Could've been fried a little harder.
Veal marsala. A complete fail. When you pound veal or any protein paper thin it will cook to a leather texture and be dry and tasteless. The mushrooms and sauce were burnt. String beans the color of army green and wilted (felt like they were from a can). Mashed potatoes lumpy not whisked to fluffy, stiff and lacked salt badly.
Crab cakes. Actually very tasty. Spinach super salty, and the potatoes the same as mentioned above.
Tom, without any complaints from us, realized that the meal fell flat. And with this he offered free dessert. I commend his customer service and trying to make it right.
The ambiance is a little out of place for a restaurant that portrays itself to be more high end and a steak house. White linen tables and some more upscale decor should be implemented, especially if the steak is priced in the $45 range.
Personally, I will not return due to the taste of my meal, I would return due to the excellent service, and with hopes that the kitchen steps up its game.
