OpenTable is horrible. We received confirmation for buffet before and day of reservation. Then received this survey. The buffet was closed due to COVID. OpenTable needs to update their system. Otherwise the buffet would have probably been awesome. OpenTable 👎!!!!!
The restaurant was closed
It was closed because of COVID.
Made a reservation 3 months in advance. Thought everything was fine since my reservation didn’t get cancelled. Got an email the day prior to my reservation asking if I would be attending. I confirmed my reservation. Showed up ready to eat and they were closed. They couldn’t cancel reservations or notify people in some way? Ridiculous. I even got a “thanks for dining with us!” email 2 days later.
Balley’s Casino was closed due to COVID 19
Still came to Las Vegas hopefully it would be open
Didn’t get any Cancellations from them.
CLOSED NO INFORMATION.WENT DiD NOT EMAIL BACK
We visited our only Las Vegas buffet on the last day before all casio/hotels in Las Vegas were closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Depending on your seafood preferences, you should know that the lobsters on the buffet were langostinos and not Maine lobsters. However, they are a fine substitute. King crab legs, if have ever had them, are not hard like, for instance, blue crab legs and thus the nut crackers you are provided with are not a useful as you might think. So, you may struggle cracking the pliable shell of this crab leg. Since our reservation was for the last sitting before the buffet closed serving, we felt somewhat rushed to get servings on our plate before the buffet closed. However, we were not rushed to vacate the dining area which is the dining area for BLT Steak at Bally's.
Food was great. Just not hot. More like room temperature
Well we’re can I start. Rubbery lobster, overcooked crab legs, limited options. This was such a disappointment. I will never again return.
its expensive, 125$ plus tax and tip, BUT the champaign is unlimited and its MUMS, (delicious). there is lobster, king crabs, filet mignon etc, BUT it is cooked for hundreds at a time and it is a buffet line.. so its served warm, not hot. I was surprised sodas, coffee, latte, cappuccino is also INCLUDED, not extra, which was nice. Our waiter was pure joy! Service could not have been better. Im glad I had the buffet, but I would not do it again.
This was my second visit to the Sterling Brunch. Our server was great and the food was terrific; lobster, caviar, filet, crab legs/claws. The lobster/Boursin omelet was fantastic and the champagne flowed freely. The only thing that detracts is that as the price increases, the value is not quite there. My first visit was $85/person plus tax/tip. Their website showed it was $105/person and then when we visited on 3/8 it was $125/person.
I would only recommend this buffet if you REALLY like lobster and champagne the other options for food were just okay- except the French toast. The French toast was the best thing I ate at this buffet however, French toast is not worth $150 per person.
Overrated. Some good stuff ie lobster was tasty and steak was nicely medium rare. Oysters looked dried out and sushi looked suspicious. Not worth the price.
It was Amazing !!!!! Best brunch we’ve ever been to !!!! Worth every penny !!!!!!
All the food was excellent, with the exception of the grilled halibut it was overcooked and dry...
The best brunch buffet I have had. Been there 3 times now and the food, service, Champagne are all spot on. You never feel rushed to leave and the servers are always fun.
We had a 1:30 reservation that we arrived 25 minutes early for and ended up sitting and waiting for nearly 55 minutes while people who came after us were seated. We were the VERY last people to be seated. Understandable that reservations are not set in stone; however, it’s now approaching 2pm and the brunch is over at 2:30pm. That set us in a panic. We literally came to Vegas because we were able to get a reservation for this brunch that matched our days off and we had been saving for this brunch! Only to find out it is $25 more expensive than the extremely expensive $100 we believed it would be (as the current going rate is apparently difficult to find). So here we are with 30 minutes to shove crab and filet minion down our throats?! To our surprise the meal was extended 15 minute but that is still 15 minutes less than promised. The whole experience was anxiety inducing and the buffet doors were shut before I even had access to all of it. I would really like to see something done about how poorly we were treated. We all pay for this fancy meal and I expected to be treated with some class. Not rushed out that door as if it was our fault we were seated 30 minutes late. We’ve been looking forward to this for years. A once in a lifetime opportunity that we both feel was taken from us despite our best efforts - my husband and I left kind of heart broken.
We had reservations at 1:30, got there at 1:10, weren’t seated until about 1:50, and were told last call for food at about 2:20. This hyped up buffet was definitely not worth the price especially for someone who doesn’t drink. It was $125 per person, which includes all you can drink mimosa and all you can eat lobster. Well first of all I don’t drink, so that was a waste for me, but I love lobster and seafood and steak! The only thing that was actually good was the king crab legs, but they were small and not necessarily worth the trouble(Especially when the crab cracker they gave me didn’t even work). The prime rib was dry and the lobsters were overcooked. My husband got the filet and That was so overcooked it was grey in the center. Desserts were also just ok. I have to say the appearances of everything was amazing, but the taste of it all wasn’t great. Creme brûlée crusts were on point though and they had 3 different types so that was nice, but other than that...nothing special. I was expecting so much better for the price and location of this place.
It was a wonderful experience all but my waiter never was around. He would say he's getting you something and would be gone forever.
Best brunch on the strip! Worth every cent you will spend which is quite a fair share!
James was amazing. He gave a new meaning to the term bottomless brunch. Our glasses were never empty and the food was fantastic.
have been going to the Sterling Brunch for over 25 years, still a great bargain if you like seafood & champagne
Amazing brunch, love the popovers, champagne and seafood!
Very great experience. Our server was Lupita and she does an amazing job!
The service and food was excellent. It’s worth trying. A. very rare Champagne Brunch that you wont find anywhere.
Quality has gone down significantly compared to previous years. Increase the price and quality and I would come back.
This was my first time at the Sterling Brunch and was excited since lobster and crab legs are my favorite but was so disappointed. The lobster was undercooked, the crab legs were overcooked and the service was horrible. At $125 per person, I expected the service to be impeccable at the very least.
My husband and I overall had a wonderful time for a bucket list wish. Few complaints like cold bisque and unseasoned lobster, but worth the variety. Not the top of the line Cavier and nickel size portions, so you would have to get 5 mini bowls just to get a good taste. Dessert options were creative and delicious. Bread was phenomenal as was the lamb. I would recommend to first timers looking to have a special experience! Thanks.
Still a good meal and a lot of food but quality has gone down alittle from years past but still very good the lobster and bisque was excellent
This was my third time eating at the Sterling Buffet. The first two times were great. This time the food was sub par. The lobster was overcooked, tough and tasteless. Even the tails that were cooked properly were flavorless. The little fillets of beef topped with the herb butter were luke warm. I even tried a second piece when they brought new out, hoping it would be better. It wasn’t. The crab legs were good . In the past , the crab leg were larger. Now it seemed they only served the “joints” and very small legs. The shrimp , lamb and desserts were delicious. Our server was great. I doubt I will return. Seems like they are cutting corners.
We were truly disappointed during our most recent visit to Sterling Brunch. The selection of food items seemed limited, was cold, and tasted bland. I tried several of their oysters which did not taste fresh and had a sour aftertaste. Even the eggs and roasted carvery were cold. We will not return, there are much higher quality buffets in Vegas!
So disappointed! You pretty much figure you with pay more on vacation and this buffet has lobster BUT this was a total rip off!!! To spend $125 per person plus tax and tip, it was just a joke! Lobster was sitting under heat lamp, tough and no flavor. The best thing was the prime rib but I could have got that at any $40 buffet!
Best experience in my life, amazing food great service
This is an absolute treat and we had zero regrets. It's very pricey, but if you enjoy seafood and good food in general, you will get your money's worth. There was plenty of sushi, caviar, lobster tails, king crab, large cold shrimp, oysters, meats, lobster bisque, and a lot of delicious desserts. Plus unlimited champagne, a custom bloody mary bar, and small glasses of sparkling sake at the buffet. What more could you ask for? The food was absolutely delicious, the desserts were to die for. Our service was impeccable as well. The server was a very friendly lady who made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel quite relaxed. She also didn't judge me on how much I ate, because when it comes to seafood, I can really put it away :-) She made sure our shell bowl was constantly emptied and our plates were removed. She was excellent at refilling our champagne glasses and coffee cups.
The place did not seem crowded and there was no crowding at the buffet. I wonder if this is because we had a 9:30 reservation, if so, I would highly recommend getting one of the earlier reservations. We were seated immediately and did not find the room or the buffet to be croweded, but throughout the meal the place did fill up.
Yes, some of the lobster tails were not great. Yes, some of the crab legs were a little mushy. But seafood is delicate and difficult to keep it perfectly cooked when it's just sitting out at a buffet waiting to be taken. I had a few overcooked lobster tails and some crab legs that were a little mushy. A couple of the lobster tails had an ammonia-like aroma. I just tossed the ones I didn't like and went back for more. Honestly, there were enough lobster tails and crab legs that were perfectly edible, so I was not really disappointed. My only other complaint is that you have to walk through the casino to the restrooms which was a little annoying. All in all, I would highly recommend if you like to eat and you enjoy seafood.
My first visit and it was awesome. The staff was friendly and the food was fantastic.
Food is amazing but wasn’t very hot. Great service.
Disappointing food......not much else to say. The prime rib is decent, but lobster is tasteless. I don’t like crabs, but my wife said the crab was tasty. Not worth $125 plus tax and tip.
Overcooked, under-seasoned seafood, most was rubbery and poorly prepared. A steak house attempting something they should not. Sushi certainly appeared and tasted a day old and not made on the spot the rice was very cold and very hard. 125 dollars a per person is just far too much for a poorly prepared meal.
I always wanted to do it. They no longer serve the good champagne. They serve Munn. Not my favorite. I was disappointed. Food wasn’t hot. But service was great. I don’t think it’s worth 125.
Wonderful spot with even better food. Good selection High QUALITY!
