Sugar Factory - Rosemont
Such a fun night celebrating my birthday! Very expensive but worth it for a special night!
Made a reservation on open table. Arrived on time and were seated timely. The host informed us as we were being seated that there was a surcharge of 20% for parties if 5 or more. Okay...never saw that anywhere else but what am I going to do with 3 kids at 6:30pm. We were seated for at least 15 minutes before someone came to our table. The waiter finally came over with water and tried to walk away and ‘give us a few minutes with the menu.’ Well after 15 minutes we were all ready to order. I ordered my 2 yr olds meal first and asked to have it out as soon as possible. We all ordered drinks and our meals at the same time. 4 drinks were ordered but only brought 3 to the table and had to go back for the fourth. When it came to the food coming out...everything came out except my toddlers chicken fingers. Waiter goes back and says it will be a few minutes. When the tenders are finally delivered, he said they forgot to cook them. Awesome. So I cut into 2 tenders to start cooking them for my daughter only to realize they aren’t fully cooked! Come on already. The youngest person at the table can’t get dinner! She ate food off of all of our plates. By the time they brought out her corrected order, including the fry basket that he ‘didn’t hear me order,’ the rest of our party was done eating. Including my daughter. We actually had to ask to have the tenders removed from the bill, which the waiter did after asking the manager. Overall, cool atmosphere and idea. WAY overpriced for quality and service. Ok for one time experience but doubt I’d go back. Especially with more than 4 people. 2adults and 3 kids...just shy of $300. Definitely not any gourmet food either.
Our waiter was great! But the food was not all that for the price. I think it’s a good place for drinks and desert. Overall it was ok
Portions are too large and prices are too high. Service was horrible. Server did not come to our table until about 10 minutes after we sat down. Once order was taken and food was served, never saw the server again until she asked us about dessert. Never checked on us once throughout the meal. We not go back.
My daughter and myself were celebrating our birthdays and we’ve never been. It was an amazing experience, drinks were pricey but worth it. I’m already planning another visit.
Over priced and overrated I guess you are paying for the ambiance because the food was mediocre
Don't go on a budget. You're paying for ambiance and decoration, which admittedly, is enjoyably over-the-top. No one needs a 60oz goblet of drink, but steaming with gummi penguins in it is experience to share with someone. The milkshakes are adequate, but in a tall mug dipped in chocolate and decorated (meticulously) with candies, it's fun just to look at. Rainbow sliders are a kid favorite - burgers with multi-color buns. All specialty drinks can be made kid-friendly. Staff exceptionally friendly. The room was very clean, but the disco ball would have distracted us even if it wasn't. Great for a special occasion at all ages, just not all price points.
Overall the experience was good but service was incredibly slow, a number of requests were ignored, and the appetizers came at the same time as the main course, which we specifically asked to avoid.
The best restaurants that we frequent all have the same thing in common - attention to detail. We loved Sugar Factory in Vegas when it first opened, but Sugar Factory in Rosemont is just ok. Last night topped it. We put on our reservation that we were celebrating our daughter's 10th birthday, and there was zero acknowledgment of it. Again, attention to detail.
It was a great experience celebrating my 29th Birthday
Way too expensive for the food and atmosphere. Too crowded, tables on top of one another, have to yell at table just to hear person next to you. The drinks and desserts are cool, but it is not worth your time and money
We had a reservation for 7:00 pm we didn’t get our table till 7:45 after waiting since 6:25 check in ... the ladies at the front desk were rude and seemed to be not happy to be at work ... I’ll never go back !!!
We checked in for our 5pm OpenTable reservation at 4:30pm. The hostess confirmed we were checked in and said she would seat us as soon as 2 seats were available. Meanwhile, there were people without reservations being seated before us. After 5pm we went back to the hostess and she could no longer find our OpenTable reservation. She had deleted it. At that point, we weren't about to stay. If the hostess can get something so simple wrong, who knows how bad the servers and food are. So negligent and unprofessional. What a waste of time. Telling friends and family not to go to Sugar Factory Rosemont.
Service not exceptional
You over pay for the name of the restaurant.
This place is great for someone who is looking for a bit of different fun...but the cost was outrageous. Not a good option for those looking for a moderate cost.
Food and service was great! Everything we were looking for and wanted.
My food was just ok. Miami location taste better. Overall over priced for the food.
It would be nice to have better options for the desert for smaller groups and vegans during a birthday celebration.
We had a great experience overall. My only complaint is that reservations not honored like other restaurants. We were late due to traffic but we had to be put on the list behind people that didn't have a reservation. We had to wait 45 minutes.
We had a reservation at 8:00. When we checked in they said the people at our table were settling their bill and they would let us know when it was ready. After 20 minutes I inquire about our table and they tell me the exact same thing. We ended up getting sat at 8:45. Very frustrating to have a reservation only to have it not honored in a timely manner.
Very disappointed. Food is good but way overpriced. Wait staff started cleaning the plates before we were all finished eating. Women’s bathroom was a mess and lacked toilet paper. Service was poor. This was our annual girls birthday outing at Sugar Factory but will not return again sorry to say.
Service was terrible, we received our drinks after we received our meals, we were told they were short handed in the shake area, but one drink was a diet coke and the other was an alcoholic drink. The shakes arrived as we were finishing eating. We were seated in a back section, the wall next to table had big section of paint scrapped off, chairs were stained. i would have given a lower rating but food was good and when we finally received the shacks they were good. I would not go back to Rosemont location but would go to the downtown location, had a great experience there.
This was lots of fun and a perfect date spot for my girlfriend and I before the Wolves Hockey game. We love the music, the excitement and the good food. It felt like everyone in the restaurant was having a good time. Thank you for a great date night!
This place had a clean and inviting atmosphere. The food was average tasting . The milkshake we had was outstanding and the chocolate was super good tasting. The big goblet drinks are way overpriced . Not that much in them when half filled with ice but a cool experience to see them smoke from the dry ice in them. I would go back but only for a milkshake or to try a dessert. I think they excell at the sweets. Which is what they are known for.
Great service! The atmosphere was fun. Very family friendly
The whole experience was supremely schlocky from the hostess that seemed to not like her job to the plastic spoons we received to eat our $20 slice of chocolate cake. We will never again return to this dump.
This was my third time coming to the Sugar Factory and my second time on NYE. Just a great experience such a good atmosphere to bring friends with for a celebration especially the ending the decade. Will definitely come back again you guys rock!
Server was great and very friendly. Food came fast, but chicken sandwich was dry. Food is very outrageously priced. 2 people $90 without tip! Crazy!
Very pleasant experience
I love this restaurant. However The Buffalo Chicken sand which wasn't as big or as tasty as it had been in the past.
Was I nice visit. Waitress was good. Last time I was there it was not good, but this time is was. Not crowded when we where there, but got busy when we were leaving.
Tables were far too close together. Closeness to other parties impact enjoyment of the meal. Seated adjacent to a birthday party in an area not large enough for their guests.
You go there for the experience, nothing else. The food wasn't good at all. The drinks are nothing schedule.
When booking the reservations I was asked if this was a special occasion and in a different area to write in special notes. I mentioned twice my daughters 13th birthday celebration. Not once was it mentioned or was she acknowledged. The biggest disappointment was at the end of dinner when I went to order the half order of the King Kong Sundae and was told they aren’t allowed to do “ the half order” on the weekends anymore. That was such a disappointment being that was one of the main reasons we chose Sugar Factory for our daughter and her four friends. Not to mention, we had taken our older daughter their for her 13th Birthday on the weekend and ordered the half King Kong Sundae With no issue. I mentioned all of this and our waiter had the excuse of corporate being sticklers on this the last few months. I said well I’d love to sing and asked what else we could do for her birthday and he mentioned a sparkler for $5 but couldn’t guarantee the staff would help sing at the table. Also said unless the $99 Sundae was purchased there’s nothing he could really do. I was so upset and taken back by all of this, we didn’t even order dessert, I paid our bill and we left. (To make it even more clear, even when ordering the half order for a party of 10 when we did in the past, the dessert still couldn’t be finished) Truly, we didn’t have to drive 50 minutes and could’ve done a local restaurant to have them sing or make her birthday more lively! Overall just very very disappointed!!
5 star Excellent service by Edgar. He handled our table of 10 like a PRO and that is rare nowadays!! This was a special Christmas get together with family and we were comfortable and enjoyed our food drinks and dessert. It is definitely pricey but it is an experience and fun for all ages. Was a little disappointed they didn’t have a wedge salad and took away the savory chicken and mushroom crepe that was on the online menu but the brisket sandwich was large and delicious and we’re from TX so we know our brisket. Overall worth the experience. Make sure to make a reservation and be aware they include the 20% service charge for parties of 5 or more.
Service was top notch. Food & desserts were delicious however VERY expensive. Would recommend for a special night out or treat.
Our waitress was knowledge and friendly. The food and beverage was delicious. I felt the prices were a bit steep for what was brought to us.
If you like gimmicky places, this is the place for you. While I think this is a fun place for pre-teen/teenagers, it is way too overpriced for the quality of food/drinks served here.
Service was great.
it was super fun and I had a great time
Ok. Server never asked why we were there.
