Superba Food & Bread
Good food, good service, seating for reservations is lacking thoughtfulness
I got the Keto Plate at Breakfast and was underwhelmed. The brisket was dry, the salad okay, the sunny egg flavorless and the dressed up avocado was simple.
Terrible service and extremely overpriced
Loved it! Food was delicious, good value, cute venue - will definitely go back again!
Very friendly service
Delicious and plentiful servings
Will go back again
great service, extremely delicious food, definite recco!
Always good for a dinner with six plus people. Comfortable, tasty, nice, minimal ambiance and consistent.
Went there for lunch on a week day. It was moderately busy. Got seated at a tiny round table with seats that had no backs. One seat was part of a long solid block with a thin cushion, the other was a hard stool. Clearly, that kind of furnishing is not meant to provide any kind of comfort, and could barely fit our two plates and water glasses. The coffee was weak and flavorless. I had to ask for it to be refilled. I ordered the steak salad. For $23, it was very middling. I only ate half and did not bother to take the rest home. Our server could not be more disinterested.
Food was wonderful.
Ordered an app, it never came.
Was told we could get free desserts as a result. We were still charged for the app.
Stuff like this makes the experience not the best.
Same waiter as I had the last time I was in when I also had a bad experience. :/
We love this place!
What a great spot for a nice meal with friends! I hope to see all my friends there sometime =)
We live on the street and eat in or get take-out at last weekly. Their new-ish pork milanese dish is INSANE - I asked the chef WHY? It's unlike anything I've ever had before. They brine the pork, then marinate in buttermilk for 24 hours before breading and frying. It's ridiculously good. The orata dish was a gorgeous fish dish, as well. As beautiful as it was delish. There is a NEW CHEF - Enrique - and we're happy to have him. My only wish - PLEASE bring back the old Avocado Toast with the FRESNO chilis and sprouts and ditch the current radish/hemp seed version. Blech. But we love our Superba! Make sure to try the lemonade - the bomb!
Superba never disappoints. I excellent vegetarian and vegan options. The Japanese sweet potatoes is a meal in itself. Staff is so friendly and attentive. One of our top 5 restaurants. We travel over the hill for it!
Superba is always excellent, but every single person in our party noted that the wait staff was extremely on top of everything and kind. When you dine with a 3 year old, it's always easy for things to go sideways fast and they were fantastic with her and US!
Superba always delivers. I previously had only had their breakfast (which is excellent), but the dinner delivered as well! The bread is fantastic.
Disappointing. Have been many times before and the food tonight was not great. The Cacio e Pepe pasta was under cooked and crunchy with no flavor.
Cool and comfy, very LA restaurant and bakery. Recommend.
Had a fantastic early dinner on New Year's Eve! Service was impeccable and food was really good.
Recommend the Crispy Cod and also one of the best Cheeseburgers in town.
We're in the neighborhood and this is a perfect spot to just pop in to without having to deal with all the usual chaos many of the other restaurants in Venice have to put up with. Highly recommend.
Had a wonderful dinner at Superba with my daughter and mother, as always the food did not disappoint, and neither did the service. Cam is a wonderful server.
Excellent coffee and the Best brekki in LA!
The snapper was delicious
The gluten free cookie yummy
Superba has become a wonderful neighborhood “go to” restaurant for us. The food is consistently well cooked, the service friendly, and I’m very glad to say that they seem to be making an effort at noise reduction. We are people who savor good conversation with our glass of wine and good food:-)
Love this place! The bread and butter is enough for a meal- just adds salad or veg. Of course we get more food- always good, but really the bread and bitter is the best!
The service was absent and the kitchen had a bad night keeping up with the promises made on the menu.
Too noisy but amazing service menu choices and food. Get the bread to die for.
Fabulous waiter food and service!
Veggie fritto misto is a big delicious plate of fried goodies. Crispy cod is the fanciest "fish and chips" you'll ever have, so good. The beets and Burrata is the best. Usually too crowded to enjoy at brunch hour but they have beautiful lattes and amazing pastries so it's understandable why everyone would want to be there. Love it.
Not enough value for the money. Small portions and my wife’s meal was not good.
Great food. Killer bread! They have slightly different recipes, but they are inventive. Worth it!
Love the food and atmosphere. A little pricey for the portion size but the quality is good. I came here for a business meeting and the host reserved us a table in the back corner outside and since it was 7:45pm she had a heater near us that kept the vibe cozy. Everyone was so friendly and relatable. Not too over the top! Would recommend coming here for any time of the day! Setting is so modern and fun!
We were here for breakfast. Great variety for meat eaters and vegetarians. Servers were great! Checked in early on to make sure everything was what we expected, and checked in again later on for refills, etc. Loved the playlist. Would definitely come back to try their lunch and dinner menu.
We hadn’t had dinner here in a few years and were knocked out by food in our return. The portions were good and the tastes divine. We had meatballs and polenta and the Milanese pork. Good value considering the prices of similar restaurants. We will be back.
My daughter and her boyfriend met me here for breakfast- i recommended the place because I’d been once for beer and small plates and had a good experience. This time service was spotty and unfriendly at first then we were handed off to another waiter, more friendly than the first. We ordered the breakfast sandwich, marbled eggs and baked eggs in purgatory. Everything tasted under seasoned, the baked eggs were a little too raw with runny whites, marbled eggs were dry and the sandwich came on a plate full of 7-8 very well fried smashed potatoes that looked quite dry and brown. The coffee was good but I wouldn’t return after this visit.
Patio was very cold, no heater, plenty of seats inside. Ran out of bread, their claim to fame. Food was great but they need to get more heat lamps for the patio if they are going to seat people there without asking.
It’s been a year since I’ve visited and honestly, it was subpar tonight. Overall wait-staff was ok, food wasn’t that great, out of desserts, and super loud. And the menu barely has changed in a year. Come on, Superba! Used to be so good.
Noisy. Food salty. Made a reservation on Open Table and they reported us as a no show. We don’t recommend this place.
Bread is good! Food is very overrated. Potatoes were inedible. Service isn’t great.
I love this place and it is a great location for meeting friends. I felt that, on this and the previous occasion, the salmon was not great. Fishy smelling and tasting. Oh well, I still love it here. The wait staff is the best in town.
They desperately need a menu change. It’s not 2015 anymore.
Great place for share plates and wine. We brought a baby and even he was impressed.
