Taste at Rustic

Great venue well laid out with helpful staff. The overall feel is casual but the food is anything but that . We had the fixed menu for two and all of it without fail was interesting and delicious , designed and cooked to the highest standard.
I would highly recommend this venue to anybody willing to try Japanese food with a European twist

This was my fourth time dining here and the whole experience was absolutely amazing - as usual! I live in London and whenever I visit Dublin for business trips, I have to visit the Rustic!

Delicious with very fresh food, garnished with love and care, nice and cosy atmosphere, friendly staff - simply fantastic!

Very fancy place which delivers an amazing culinary experiences. You get to see the chefs making sushi but for the warm fried food it is done somewhere else so you don’t get any of the smell. Service was very nice, waiters were friendly and would provide advice if you needed it. Will definitely come back!

I’ve been here before but I was very disappointed the menu was not the usual, the lighting was too bright, one of the chefs came over beside us to cook some sushi and left his gas cooking gun on with no flame and the gas was coming on our face. I feel it’s was overpriced and the food is not quite the pricetag. Very Disappointed

Most of the food was good, but not good enough for the price. I had the rare breed steak as an alternative to wagyu because they were out. It was the most disappointing steak of my life. Would rather eat an 8€ sirloin steak from tesco. I mentioned this to the wait staff and didn’t even get a response. I’m not looking for a discounted meal, but at least acknowledge it when your patrons politely tell you the food was subpar.

We had a fantastic experience. We really enjoyed the night - the food and drinks, the ambience and the service.

Firstly, I was lost when I found out in was a Japanese restaurant. The waiter (London accent) gave us superb recommendations and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. We didn’t like the wine we ordered and it was no problem, they gave us a different bottle without any fuss. It’s a contemporary feel to the place, feels busy, a restaurant we liked. Their gins were excellent also. Finally, I don’t rate restaurants because it’s rare I walk out from one and feel I had beautiful food. This was not one of those restaurants... it’s was fantastic. We also loved the staff, genuinely nice people.... We will go back here for sure.

Always a fan of Taste at Rustic. Their sushi platter and wangyu beef (from Japan) are amazing! It’s a perfect place to try Japanese fusion cuisine in Dublin. Highly recommend

We arrived there early to have a drink on the middle floor bar. We moved upstairs once our table was ready. The food was outstandingly delicious as always. The service is one of the best you’ll find in the city.

We enjoyed our trip to Taste at Rustic, however one of our guests was vegan & on the night we asked x2 waiters to walk us through what options for vegan, we got 2 x conflicting descriptions of what may or may not be vegan (or could be adjusted to be vegan friendly), overall enjoyable visit but our vegan guest found this experience quite frustrating as she was not confident in what was being prescribed to her.

Fantastic food and even better service, reasonably priced for the quality.

Tasting menu was fantastic. My only critism would be that it was exactly the same as my only other vist a year ago. But still awesome.

The table service was outstanding. Everyone of the staff were very professional and courteous even though they were extremely busy. The food was exquisite and a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend anyone to visit. A tad expensive but I guess you pay for what you get. The atmosphere and ambience was excellent. Welll done Dylan fantastic evening.

We had our Christmas party here for 9 of us during the week, it was amazing from start to finish, excellent service, food was fantasic, we will be back.....

Loved it except the billowing smoke from stone cooking that hurts my eyes & stinks my clothes

Booked a week in advance, but the only table available was 10:30pm! We were treated very well! All the staff were very attentive and also very nice and really friendly as well! Definitely enjoyed the experience of the place!

The food was amazing! We were very full at the end of the meal. Everything was presented soo nicely and instagram-able! Enjoyed the evening !

Good vibes and Excellent service - Would recommend!

The sashimi was good but this restaurant is not Japanese. It has very limited menus of sushi / sashimi. The main hot dishes are more pan Asian. I expended it’s to be more Japanese. It is ok but nothing special.

Great japanese style food, outstanding raw materials and a stylish presentation. Highly recommended but please upgrade the kitchen air intake system because the smell of fried is not nice for such a location.

Best sushi in town. There's even sukiyaki beef now in the menu, little bit too sweet, but it was fine for me:) good quality wagyu beef. strongly recommend if you want to try some Japanese cuisine in Dublin.

There were six of us there for a 40th birthday celebration. I was expecting creative, Japanese food reimagined with Irish hints per the restaurant's own description. We were all very disappointed. The sushi was quality and will done. The rest of the menu was boring and poorly executed. The beef was overpriced, dry and had a strange taste. I ordered the old fashioned cocktail, which was supposedly made a fancy, it was mediocre, noninventive and tasted like any other watered down cocktail. The server tried to upsale us throughout the entire meal. In the end, after being reminded we were there for a birthday, the server brought out a small bowl of mango ice cream, enough for one person. They never brought out a spoon. There were 6 of us, the bill was 600 euros. It was so overpriced and completely not worth it.

Loved it. Great food and great value. We went with the early bird menu and sat at the counter to watch the meticulous preparation. Fantastic night.

Amazing dining experience. Service at attention to detail were exceptional. Food was delicious. Expensive but worth it for the dining experience!

Visited on our last night in Dublin. It was great to have something interesting, other than pub food. Very high quality Sushi and interesting hibachi grilled lamb, steak and pork. Understand this is a unique experience - so plan for it time wise each course is brought separately. The server recommended everything perfectly.
