Our wait staff was super attentive. We had great food.

Ginger and Sage cocktail, the filet mignon tacos and crispy brussel sprouts were to die for

Made a reservation and were seated immediately. Our server was very nice and attentive. The food came super fast and was delicious. Our two boys had the kids burger which was large! I had the yummy crab cake and my husband had the burger with peppers. DONT skip dessert. They got me at cast iron chocolate chip cookie.

Great food, wine, and ambiance!

The burger with blistered shishito peppers may be the best burger I’ve had. The fish and chips and n the other hand were very boring. Service was good but a bit skittish. Definitely worth returning overall.

Second visit and will go again next time were in town

Great food great service, i was under the impression there was indoor dining available but arrived and got seated on loud and busy orange ave. Overall great experience, did the best they could with covid restrictions

We went to dinner here on a Saturday night during COVID and it was fantastic! The service was excellent and very focused on cleanliness which I appreciated. Our server, CJ, did a truly honorable job making our experience warm and welcoming. He alone made the experience 5/5. The food was great

I absolutely love this restaurant! The food is amazing and the cocktails are even better! We always eat here a couple times when we visit Coronado Island, because the service is amazing and the food is delicious. I highly recommend having dinner here, if you have the opportunity!

i made a reservation, arrived 5 minutes early and the place ( on the sidewalk) was packed. There was a line to check in with the host. Two couples were in front of us, the first couple did not have a reservation was sat right away. the next couple had a reservation and were told to wait for 10 minutes for a table to be ready. once i walked up to the host, he said he has no tables. He said, we are busy and he could recommend another restaurant!!!!!!. i get it that during covid, limits and sidewalk tables its tough to run a business, but seriously??? you sat the the people with out reservation with out looking at your i-pad to know that there were two pending reservations and then suggest a different restaurant? I hope the owner see this review and takes corrective action for his business.

we got sat 30 minutes later, the table service was great, food was good but noticed portions were much smaller than pre-covid.

Our sever was amazing, very quiet. no music playing in background. Awkward silence. Food was not very good. The server need a raise.

Fantastic food and incredible service. Small menu but perfect for our group. I’m sure it’s due to current environment. We loved it.

Well the menu that’s on open table is incorrect a little bit so instead of getting the shepherds pie I went with the chicken pot pie. Gotta say it was great. My girlfriend ordered the chicken with the thumbelina carrots and the potatoes. She absolutely loved it. Would definitely go back.

We had a wonderful evening for my sons Birthday . The food and services was amazing as always . Our server was kind enough to treat our son to a delicious Birthday dessert with a candle . We enjoyed our evening and can’t wait to go back .

Limit menu available because of pandemic so don't go by what you see on website. Food offered was excellent. Love the patio dining. Staff was great too.

The website still says there is happy hour, but there is not. It's understandable during these times, but that definitely needs to be updated. Also, it's a good thing I wasn't that hungry because the roasted chicken dish I ordered was as small as a cornish game hen! That's cool and all, but you should be prepared and know that the proportions are tiny. They're running on a very limited menu as many places are during COVID with reduced customer levels, so you should know that as well. The cocktails were good and they do have outside seating, but know that they are fairly limited. Having said that, the food and cocktails we did have were pretty good...nothing spectacular, but a pretty decent spot to sit outside and dine/have drinks for some normalcy.

That place is a HIDDEN GEM! Everything from the drink to dessert and everything in between was a TEN!

Our second visit. Loved it the first time. Things a bit off this time, and maybe that’s due to the pandemic. Cocktails were nice and service was good. Found the food a bit lacking with over cooked salmon and chicken.

The food was delicious! My salmon was cooked perfectly, and the veggies were fresh. Dining on the sidewalk is not ideal, but the tables are spaced well apart due to the pandemic. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. Definitely would return!

Handling Covid well. Service was attentive. Food as expected having been many times was very good. Skateboarders on sidewalk annoying but nothing Tavern can do about it.

Food was very good. Sitting on the sidewalk during Covid-19 was not so good. Totally understand we have to eat outdoors, but sitting on that sidewalk with dozens of people and families walking by, MOST not wearing masks, made this spot a bad choice overall. Will definitely come back when things open up and we can eat INSIDE. Food = 9, Service = 8, Ambiance = 3, Value for $ = 8. Good spot. Will come back again.

All seating is outside and they did a great job at creating a wonderful dining experience. Service was great and all her recommendations were amazing.

Amazing food! I had the salmon, which was cooked to perfection. My husband had the burger, which was also amazing. They’re doing the best they can with the new COVID mandates, which means seating on the sidewalk. Wasn’t too bad, and the service was great, all staff friendly. I felt it was priced appropriately, and was one of the better restaurants in Coronado in my opinion. Will return again for sure!

The food and the staff are always great at Tavern! Love to go back again soon !
