Texas de Brazil - Syracuse
Amazing! I'm Brazilian and I know about steakhouses, Texas de Brazil is an authentic one.
Birthday for daughter. Great salad bar, but pricey. The bottle they try to sell you is mediocre and overpriced, but they have some decent wine by the glass, albeit overpriced. It’s noisy, busy and a bit frenetic, with the meat guys whipping by every few minutes, especially if you go early 6 pm on a Friday) and the place is half empty. Still, we had to ask the waitress for the guy with the filet mignon to visit our table - the guys with the chicken, pork and cheaper cut of beef were buzzing by every few minutes. Still, if you’re a meat eater, it’s a good way to try a variety of meats at one meal - just don’t fill up on the starches and salad bar or you’ll be too stuffed to enjoy the meats. A nice surprise - our 5-year-old grandchild ate a full meal, meat included, for $5.
It was great the waitress was great very friendly, the food took awhile to come around felt like they forgot about our table to keep bringing over meat but when it was brought over it was delicious. They gave us free deserts for our anniversary which was amazing thank you! Overall was a great experience beautiful scenery. My family had a great dinner.
Great birthday place. The lamb is great. The only thing I didn’t like was I had to special order it.
Wonderful visit to an amazing restaurant as always! Staff is always friendly at this location, Kaylie was very attentive to our table and offered amazing suggestions (the dessert espresso with Licor 43 is UNBELIEVABLE). The salad bar is always enticing- but don't fill up too much! The waiters with the meat skewers came around often but not overbearing, and management was friendly as always. Love our Syracuse TDB!
The service was great and with the VIP dining card it was really worth it. Top quality meats, the cold bar could use some better options. Not a fan of cold asparagus. The hot bar is delicious too.
The reception area was really not organized. We made reservations and it took 20 minutes before we were seated even though there were a lot of free tables available. Overall, besides the wait the experience was good.
A great evening celebrating my kids birthdays. We saved up for a while because it’s a bit more expensive than we usually splurge but It was the best food ever and service was fantastic
Our plates were often empty, meat wasn't properly cooked, ribs were charred outside but were liquefied inside.
Always a great time and great food!! We usually go on special occasions because we know it will be delicious.
Very nice overall. Excellent selection
cut of meats
We were totally new to this experience. It was unknown to us that the meats were not all available at all times. We were unable to carry on a conversation because of the overzealous server. That being said, the food was incredible. Everyone we encountered was gracious and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is upbeat. I don't eat much meat and am very particular when I do. I had flank steak that was worth the price of the meal.. amazing. Now that I know what to expect I would not only would I recommend dining here I would encourage people to go. So what are you waiting for..... GO!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Texas de Brazil. My only complaint was sitting next to the windows that overlooked the inside of the mall. I should have said something to the staff, as I am confident that they would have moved us. The food and staff were exceptional.
Great service! Will be back again for sure and price was great
My waitress (Amber I think) was absolutely amazing and attentive to our table. The manager came over and made sure we were okay, which was also very nice. Every time I eat here, my expectations are always exceeded!
our server Chris was so accommodating, JD serving up garlic sirloin was right on point. Manager Dan was a great host as always. probably one of the best visits we ever had
The food and staff were beyond amazing! The first 15 mins is a little overwhelming if you have never been, but once you get your first round of meats it is a little slower paced so you can actually eat. I enjoyed how the meat portions were small so you could sample each one and then request more of the specifics that you liked. Unfortunately we were not told that spring water and desserts cost extra. While we understand being charged for them, it would have been nice to be warned up front. Desserts are $9 each (definitely worth it as they are delicious!) So without knowing the cost we ordered 3 desserts and were surprised when we got the bill. The staff were very accommodating and discounted our bill by one dessert for the confusion (we did not ask, we just wanted them to know that it was a little confusing). Overall, we were extremely full and very pleased with our dinner selection! 10/10 would go again!
We were seated in the open seating facing the mall hallways. It was extremely noisy and I could barely hear the waitress as I was sitting just outside of the restaurant. Next time I would definitely request an interior table. It was neat being able to watch the cable course above us though!
The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
You guys never sent them the message I added to the reservation. They were clueless that it was a special day.
As of this writing - Sun and dinner at TdB was Fri evening, I am still waiting for a refund. Originally we had reservations for 8 people. I was with customers, so I paid the bill - large $530 ish with tax. On the ride back to our Syracuse hotel, my associate was looking at the bill and I was charged for 8 people. I immediately called the restaurant spoke with a manager. He said he could not fix it that night. He called me Sat to say, "I spoke with General Manager and you will get a refund, but it will take a few days because we have to contact corporate." UTTERLY RIDICULOUS! REALLY? If you needed to charge my card you would, but when it comes to $90 plus tax you can't. At this point, I've made it my cause to give reviews like this so others aren't ripped off. So that TdB changes the policy. I spoke in no uncertain terms to Sean. He said, "well that's why I am calling you to say you will get your refund, but it will take a while."
That simply isn't acceptable and not good service. I went to TdB in Albany earlier in Feb 2020 and the bill was over $1,900. I regularly take customers out - usually $2k per month. Guess where I won't go back to unless they fix this in a better manner? You're right TdB! NEVER AGAIN UNLESS YOU FIX THIS!
Our service was amazing. Our waitress was Mariah and she was fantastic. It was our first visit and the manager asked when we arrived if we had ever been there before and later in the visit made it a point on a busy a Friday night to stop at the table and ask how our first time was. Great experience and excellent food.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at our birthday celebrations with one exception, the
Gauchos came to the table to quickly they didn’t give me enough time to eat one order of meat before they wanted to put more on my plate.I found this to be a little annoying!
The food and service were great .... Would definitely go again
Absolutely delicious The staff is very friendly and is concerned you are getting what you. We travel almost 2 hours to get there but it's well worth it. That was our 3rd trip but definitely not out last. Best Food and Best service of any restaurant we have been to.
Quality of the food is 5 stars. There could be more labeling of the items on the salad bar, ( e.g. what it is, key ingredients, gluten free, calorie count would be helpful.) Also, the price is astronomically high, the only time we go is when you send me a coupon or I get a gift card. The high quality food is worth it but you'd draw in more business if the prices were lowered, at least back down to the original prices. Omg the desserts... the carrot cake!
Best food I have ever had!!!!! We will definitely be back!
Food was amazing. Some of the meat options were salty but they did offer lower salt content when special ordered but it was our first time there. Was disappointed that the dessert was ala cart it was advertised that way.
This restaurant was absolutely delightful. It is very high priced, but worth it 100%. Be sure to make a reservation here as they are always packed.
The reservation process needs a lot to be desired.
The most amazing meal and atmosphere! The service was amazing! The drinks to a bit longer then expected, but they were so delicious!
Our reservation was for 5pm on Valentine’s Day weekend. We were seated by 5:20pm. The staff was attentive, friendly, and efficient. The salad bar was stocked the whole time and I felt I had a variety of meat always offered that was hot and fresh.
I don't think people that work in the food service industry should have nails long enough to dig ditches!!! Looked more like claws then finger nails
Our host was amazingly nice & helpful.
Amazing assortment of meats. The salad bar is awesome in variety and the soups are great. Enjoy
Excellent service, great food, made for a great Valentine’s Day dinner
Would have like for more meat to have been brought to our table I had to request meat be brought over a couple times. And when I did ask for food to be brought it took 10 minutes for it to get there. Server was very nice and was great
We had a wonderful time, celebrated our first valentine day together with my fiancée (who hand never been before). She was wowed, amazed and thoroughly enjoyed herself. Everything was perfect, thank you. Our only regret is that we were too full to try everything on the buffet.
Okay....so a few problems with our visit today. My husband wanted to eat here before deploying so I got us tickets to a hockey game and thought we would eat here before the game. Unfortunately the only reservations available were 2pm and 7pm. Since the game started at 7, we had to go with the late lunch reservation at 2pm. When we got there, they weren't that busy and the restaurant quickly cleared out, leaving us as one of just a few tables left. The meat offerings were pretty pitiful, the same 5 things over and over. Well done sirloin, hard and chewy. Special sirloin, cooked decent but still pretty chewy. Sausage, which neither of us were interested in. Parmesan chicken, fairly good. And drrrrrryyyyy dry dry bacon wrapped chicken. The salad area was good, but I was soooooo bummed to find out there was no lobster bisque, one of the main reasons this is usually one my favorite places to eat. Our main server was nice, but one of the Male servers smelled like molded clothing, like when you leave your wet clothes in the washer for several days and then realize you never dried them and instead of washing them, he wore them to work and served food to people. I could smell it every time he got anywhere near us or the tables around us, and it lingered for a very long time after he stepped away. I know I am not the only one who smelled it, management, you have to know who I am talking about. He should have been sent home to change even if a manager had to step in and help serve for a while. I paid for the full meal, but barely ate any of the over cooked meat and stuck mostly to salad bar and sides. We had a lot of time to kill in between eating and heading over to the hockey game, so we wandered around the mall for a while. When we were headed out around 5pm, we walked by the restaurant and to my surprise they were not full! Wondering why they didn't have more reservations open? Understaffed perhaps? It would have really been nice to eat dinner instead of the end of lunch.
