Than I expected from the description... Not my kind of place . Food was very cheap pub food , very uninteresting .

I really like the Backdoor. It must be said that I liked it more pre Covid times. It seemed really crowded and like people were not spaced far enough apart. Pair that with it being a small confined space it left us feeling a bit uncomfortable. The Drinks are still top notch though.

Our server was great! The drinks are amazing I recommend the risky ginger, food also did not disappoint with a variety of different dishes. We got the burrata salad and prawn tacos both were just as good as the drinks! I will totally be coming back!!

We were a group of 6 and received excellent and timely service. We will definitely be coming back!

Good pickles. I like them lots. You should try the pickles too.

Staff remembers you and your drink. Good personality, good food, good service. Looking forward to going back.

The Happy Hour prices were fair, the food delicious and music was fun plus played at the right volume to allow for conversation. Memorable Valentine’s Day evening at the Backdoor.

My fiancé and I went here for a date, the service seemed slow but it was also a nice relaxing meal that we got to chat without being constantly interrupted. But, the service is slower.

Great place for a late night adventure. Service was impeccable, the ambiance was divine & the drinks were fabulous.

Cool experience, food and old fashion not so good

Went there for date night and had fun! Drinks were good and decent prices. Had some apps which were also really well done. Will definitely come back.

My wife and I love this "speakeasy" style bar and recommend it to all our friends when they are visiting the Fremont area.

We ordered their specialty cocktails and food from the happy hour menu and everything was very good the bartender even replace my drink that I didn’t like. Ambience was great!

Kind of a hidden gem in Fremont! It really is at the backdoor - we met for cocktails and a snack. Eclectic decor and a top-notch craft cocktail list. The bartender was a maestro, but he was also waiting tables and hosting! Amazing job of keeping an eye on over 10 tables at least. We never felt neglected and everyone left happy. We'll be back.

Absolutely love the Backdoor. Amazing signature cocktails, service and environment. When you dine here you feel like you are set in a time of a care free spirit.

Food was terrible and it was difficult to get the waiter to come to our table.

Good food and good atmosphere. My only complaint is the service. It took someone almost 15 minutes to even come to our table so we could order drinks or food. Once the food came, our server never came by again until at least 20 minutes after we'd finished our meals. We never got checked on or drink refills. I'm more than willing to give it another shot, but service was seriously lacking.

Tried this place on a whim while visiting Fredmont. Foods ok - nothing extraordinary but still good. I had the fish tacos and enjoyed them. Enjoyed the decor especially the chandeliers. Would Recommend going here as a an early bar stop if going out for the night. Large mixed drink menu and several mock tail options if your the DD or don’t drink.

Food was not good and drinks tasted like fancy well drinks. Cool place but the food was not even good pub food. Maybe would go back for well drinks but not a great dinner date place.

The ambiance is very nice! Speakeasy all the way. I had a drink date and enjoyed the atmosphere. The service could be better...waiter didn’t really pay much attention to us and we had to utilize someone else.

There is tons of drink options and the food was great as well. Its dimly lit and in the outside you question if you're at the right door making the experience even better.

When everyone's having a great time in this place, it's hard to hear the people you're with. I was belting my voice with all my diaphragm and was still repeating myself while pressed into the ear of my guest. Beautifully decorated and has a delightful selection of cocktails to try.

Super helpful and patient staff who helped having 2 tables for 4 each side by side when we started with a much smaller number. Plus the cocktails were great, food good and price was more than correct. Will definitely come back!

I loved this place! The drinks were amazing! They know how to make an amazing cocktail. The food is ok, I certainly wouldn’t go out of my way for it, but it is fine, and it helps to have something to eat while drinking those tasty beverages. The service was also fantastic. Lastly, they validate parking for two hours in the pay lot connected to the building, I found that out after I paid, oh well!

Great place to get together for drinks and reasonably priced food. There is a lot to choose from and their happy hour is fantastic.

The food was great. The place was full so it was noisy-not really great for intimate conversation. But that’s ok since we were there for the food. We would definitely come back and explore more of their menu options.

Great I place,fun atmosphere, just an all around good vibe.

There was one person for the whole restaurant. One person to seat you, take orders, make cocktails and drinks, deliver food, check on you, etc. It was obnoxious. I felt bad for the poor guy, he was working hard, but you can’t properly attend to everyone’s needs with ONE staff member. Because of this, I won’t be back.

Great atmosphere and drinks. Our waiter was so helpful and friendly. Drink menu was so extensive that he ordered our drinks based on our tastes. Very tasty.

Great funky place with a cool vibe. The cocktail menu is very eclectic and interesting.

Second time going. A little louder this time, but still not bad at all. Love the house mixed cocktails. Definitely worth making a date of it.

Great food, awesome venue, but having a single server who doubles as the host cover the entire restaurant is insane!

Ambiance is fun and there are a ton of options on the menu. The drinks were delicious. Our server was inattentive though and for a speakeasy, the music was louder than expected.

Oyster shooters- no beuno. Fritters- yummy! Crab cakes- fishy tasting. Nachos- yum!! Chicken fingers- very good.

Service was great when we arrived, but then we were forgotten. Ordered decaf coffee at the end of the meal and it never came.

This place was very cute and seemed very promising. Unfortunately both of my drinks (alcoholic and not) were not good and I didn't end up drinking them. The chicken wings were rubbery, and most of the food was not great. The curried cauliflower was the only saving grace but unfortunately it could not make up for the rest of the meal.
