Lovely old pub in a village by the Thames. Great food.

The Baskerville is a superb pub, great place to eat and loved the Xmas menu.

Outstanding christmas turkey lunch, only the food of the devil (sprouts) disappointed.

Roast dinner was excellent and service too! Very welcoming as soon as we arrived! Would definitely recommend and visit again!

We had the 3 course Sunday lunch the starters were unusual and excellent a welcome change from the norm. The roast beef mains were better than average but perhaps a little room for improvement and a inconsistency with the meat portion my wife had a third more than me, my portion was too small to be honest. The veg was excellent parsnips carrots broccoli red cabbage cauliflower cheese, the potatoes whilst better than some pubs were the let down and the Yorkshire pudding looked great but wasn’t the best. The gravy was very good though. I definitely enjoyed the meal and will go back. My banana cake and I cream was enjoyable too as were my wife’s chocolates. My pint of hoppit was excellent and so were the 2 glasses of wine we had.

A very good pub to walk to from Henley, a few too many dogs trying to sing etc but the lunch was very good.

Far to expensive for what it is .other pubs offer a better roast at a lesser cost

The owner was amazing , such a nice guy and so knowledgeable about his menu and produce and staff , food was fabulous but not surprised due to he employees 4 to 5 chefs behind the scenes , lovely night and meal and the Chablis was delicious 😋

A return visit for us and we weren’t disappointed apart from one small blip. We would have scored 5 if my wife hadn’t been served stale biscotti with her dessert and when mentioning this to our server it didn’t help to be told “oh very sorry...the chef is just cooking a fresh batch”! The rest of the food was delicious and the service was very good.

Very little fish in lots of batter and my partner had gritty carrots and a tastless pudding with a jelly topping that was so solid she needed a knife to cut it.

We complained and were offered free coffee as compensation.

The Full Time Nut Roast on a Sunday makes for Happy Wife Happy Life 👍🏻 best Yorkshire Pud, roast sirloin cooked to perfection, selections of 🍷 top drawer yet affordable and the service from the team the moment you walk in till the time you leave, friendly, attentive and make the whole family feel special. Thank you 🙏 we love being with you.

Great choice of foods on the menu whether you want a full main or smaller dish. From our group of 4 all the food was very tasty and good portion sizes, didn't wait too long for service and the pub has a great atmosphere; nice and relaxing which was perfect for our lunch catch up.

Fairly small car park, but plenty of parking close too premises. Nice welcome with a smile. Interesting wine list, with some top end names. An eye catching display of some wines on a table, including some magnums. I hope the white wines are not there for too long. All the tables had little oil lamps lit, a pity none of the log fires [3] were lit which would have given the restaurant a cosy atmosphere. On enquiring I was told is was not cold enough, fair enough but it is January, and they are featured on the website. Linen napkins, always a good sign. Good selection to choose from on the menu. Mushroom fricassee was OK, pea and ham soup was delicious. My liver and bacon very nice. My friend's fish was up with the best she had ever tasted, very fresh and perfectly cooked. Broccoli side order was over cooked and very limp. Deserts were good.

A lovely place to enjoy lunch on a winter's day. Open fire and relaxed, cosy atmosphere. The food was excellent and staff attentive and friendly. Will definitely return and recommend to friends.

The food for starters is just amazing, couple that with the quality of service delivered by the team it truly is a real treat. If you’re looking for a traditional fare of top class pub food along with a venue, landlord and team that make you feel individually special then go....this treasure in our village should be shared by all. I joined my elderly cousin and her daughter for Sunday lunch here a couple of weeks ago. The food was very good, except I thought the beetroot starter was a little small! My cousin, who can’t eat big portions these days, was offered a child’s meal of fish and chips, which was perfect and she said was delicious. My own grown-up portion of fish and chips was also delicious and beautifully cooked. The ambience was very pleasant, and the staff very attentive.

Good choice, tasty fish dish. A bit unusual and better for it. Everyone was very pleasant.

Only disappointment was on arrival really struggled to locate a member of staff to show us our reserved table. There was a pre drinks group in and 2 girls behind bar rushed off their feet. I walked into dining room and could not find a member of staff
