Amazing! Our last supper out before quarantine 2020! Def a night to remember - can’t wait to return
Ham Inerico was good but 80 dollars for a plate way high. Rest of tapas were boring. Expected more and service was half hearted
Excellent taste & presentation. The price is pretty good compare to tasting & portion.
Definitely come back.
We did the Ultimate Tasting Menu and it was Way too much food for us! Every course was incredibly delicious, but next time we will go for the Favorites Tasting Menu. The flavors are incredible! Each bite explodes in your mouth releasing a complex yet complimentary array of flavors. We dined for close to 3 hrs. The courses just kept coming! My advice is to give yourself plenty of time and pace yourself. You need time between each of the variety or tapas to experience the flavors. Enjoy!! It’s a wonderful experience!
love the food at Bazaar. But the omakase was not very good.
I had a wonderful time at the Bazaar on date night with my son. All of the staff were very delightful. We were able to do a tour of the kitchen and see how they make some of the fabulous dishes. The head chef was very accomodating and answered all of my questions about preparation and presentation. We had red velvet cupcakes for dessert. They make "the best cupcakes ever". The philly cheesesteak dish was really interesting and delicious. It was a new experience.
Everything was amazing and perfect from the food to dessert to coffee to the alcoholic scientific drinks fancy hotel Beverly hillsi
This is my 5th time there. So disappointing. Where do I start?
Well the start was comical! I drive in, get out about to hand the car to the valet in front of his stand and he looks at me and says how can I help you? I'm confused so I say: Is this the valet? Lol
Then the Bar! There were 10 people total at the bar: Yet I was there for 45 minutes! And still didn't get to close me Tab. They took my order and didn't even wait to take my partner order and walked away without letting us say: and....then another bartender took my partner order and 15 minutes later looked at us and said oh I think the other is making it because he was busy being one guy's personal bartender and buddy,
Then another 15 minutes went by and we got the drink,
I ask for the check and yup! Another 15 minutes, now a third bartender shows up trying to figure out what I had to get me my check? At this point I'm fed up. So I say here's my name figure out how to get the check to my table!
We go to hostess who when we checked in with her at 8:15 for our 8:30 and was supposed to find us at the bar in 10 minutes! So 9 pm and she looks at me and says do you have reservations or are you a walk in!
She says oh we will be sitting you :guess what? In 10 minutes!
Seated now an hour later so let's talk the food!
Olives never disappoint
Squash blossoms yummy
But the rabbit is the best cold chewy Rubber ever! Terrible
The lamb is tasty but came cold. I can only imagine because they were waiting to over cook the rabbit,
Now the worse! I made it a point to talk on the side to the hostess that it's my Partner's birthday and that even if we don't order dessert cause I gave it up for Lint to still being dessert and we chatted about what kind of dessert to bring,
Guess what? We got the bill and no dessert and no happy birthday for him!
Really pathetic service and horrible experience
We've been to The Bazaar a number of times. It was - emphasis on past tense - one of my wife's favorite restaurants. The food is undeniably superb. Everything we ate and drank was first rate, and we strongly feel that they serve some of the best food available in Los Angeles.
The service was lacking - deeply lacking. Our server was cordial and attentive at first, and our first three courses arrived in reasonable time. Then...nothing. A 35 (!!!!) minute gap took place between course three and four. The last four courses weren't spaced properly (I ordered in a specific order, but was told that they would be "coursed out appropriately". They weren't.)
We even had to flag down a passing employee (who was often at a half trot through the restaurant, as if responding to a small fire) to get water refills.
A restaurant of this caliber should not have service like this, period. It's possible this was an off night, but I'm not sure I want to risk it again?
Overpriced food and slow service
This was our second visit to the restaurant and there was a difference! The service was excellent both times. We again ordered the tasting menu which consisted of multiple courses. This time, the food was rushed. We were served three separate tapas plates within a few minutes of each other. It felt like the staff was serving a large banquet party of pre-plated food. I mentioned that the food was coming out quickly and it slowed down but we didn't get the feel of really selected plates. The Philly Cheesesteak (the first time was amazing) was a crusty old shell that broke into bits. The servers did a good job of briefly describing what we were being served- but it felt and tasted like the meal you might get at a sit down banquet- very mechanized and much of it- prepared from a central commissary. The price was over $500 (with wine)
Good atmosphere. Food was okay
Poor service poor food poor poor poor!
Food was good but service was pretty poor. For some some reason couldn’t time any of the courses correctly and sides were missing when our steak came out, even after asking multiple times. Server would just disappear for long periods of time and only took one drink order our entire mean.
Creative dishes and delicious cocktails. Interesting wines by the glass and focus on Spanish vitners. Awful service and very very loud. We learned they’ve didn’t have our appetizer selection when another arrived. kitchen selected another without our consent to which we returned due to food allergies/ which was never asked. Didn’t have scotch selection - again rather than ask or tell us brought a glass of Prosecco. Waited 15 min to be escorted to dessert room - a menu is not provided. no one came so paid bill and left.
Arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated which was strange. The food was fantastic but the service lacked a bit overall.
Hoping this was not the usual for this place. My plate lacked flavor. The food definitely required seasoning.
I might give them another try but would need to have a GOOD reason to.
We ordered the prefix menu for $150/pp (4 people). One item was missed completely. Our entire menu of food was brought to us within 25 minutes, at times in groups of 3 items. There was no “experience” to the meal. It felt very rushed. Our dinner waiter was pretty good.
We were then moved to our dessert table with a different waiter. We asked for 2 mint teas. They brought one and then the other one came 20 minutes later after requesting it several times. Waiter was barely seen, we had to flag someone down several times I. Order to order and receive our check. We ordered several items off the menu. They were brought all at once, and two of our choices never showed up. We looked to tell the waiter, but couldn’t find anyone to help. Finally flagged down for a check and he had to go back and take it off our bill. The dessert experience took way longer than our meal but only because of the service and the grouping of items. The meal cost $1000 for 4 people but truly was only worth $150.
The food tasted pretty good...coffee steak was chewy and inedible. Rest of the food tasted good.
The whole experience was just...ehh!
Husbands birthday. We had a reservation but waited for a table for 30 mins. Sat down at bar finally and hurried from there to dining table.by hostess when table finally ready. Wrote it was my husbands birthday on reservations with open table but waiter completely unaware. Waiter wasn’t very attentive or interested in our group and we’ve been here several times. The food was very good but drinks were not very good.
Ok. Pretty good. Last time we ate there it seemed better.
Bazaar provided an exceptional culinary experience. I ate things I had never imagined before and enjoyed every dish. Unique atmosphere. Excellent service. Try anything on the menu. Take risks. Fun!
Great place, food was excellent, noise level was a little higher that expected however not a problem. recommended especially if you're staying at the SLS, why go out!
Service was not great at all. Would have been nicer to try a restaurant that is more personable and attentice to their clientele.
Love this restaurant. Especially love that they have a fantastic gluten free menu. We’ve been coming here for years, and always enjoy ourselves. Last night the restaurant sat us at a tiny round cafe table-it’s ridiculous to have a table that size in a tapas type restaurant as it’s more appropriate in a small coffee shop. Every time a new dish was delivered it was like the the game twister trying to figure out where they could place the dish on the table with zero surface space. I’m not going to lower my rating-but there is an easy fix for this and the restaurant needs to make it.
We had the Valentine's tasting menu for all four of us, everything was overall okay but several dishes came out cold even with a hot plate. Our last dish before moving onto dessert area was Philly Cheese steak took about half an hour and came out not the warmest either and the cheese wasn't even running. (My family has had this dish over 5 times at least and it was never like this. Dessert be side service was not relatively slow. Perhaps we have been here too many times or that Bazaar has lost its lustre in the food scene.
Simply we love this place! Never disappoints.
I really enjoy this restaurant. This was an amazing experience
Had the Valentines Day tasting menu. You would think that it would come out in some specific order which it did not, dishes came out randomly, and if you did not pay attention there is a good chance you may not receive one. For dessert they seem to cart you over to thier dessert area where they apparently seem to want to have you wait some more in Hope's you will get hungry and buy another dessert while waiting for the one you already should have on the way or waiting for you as you sit. Maybe at one time this place was more on point, not this time.
We stayed at the SLS for Valentine's Day so we decided to make a dinner reservation at the Bazaar.
Due to some pretty bad traffic, it took us about 90 minutes to arrive and we were running late for our reservation. We called the hostess and let them know and she was very kind and understanding regarding the traffic situation. When we arrived we were promptly sat. We got started with some drinks and that margarita with the "salt air" was amazing. The prix fixe menu was delicious. Given the smallish size of the courses we weren't sure we'd be full, but they definitely stage the menu well. The ending with the risotto and australian wagyu was perfect. They threw in a special philly cheese steak as well. During the course we also ordered the beef cheeks...while it sounded great, I think it had a bit too much black garlic which was overpowering.
All in all a great dinner. I'm sure we'll be back soon on date night.
Enjoyed a nice pre-Valentines dinner at The Bazaar. The lighting was a bit low for our photo taking (didn't want to use flash so not to distract other patrons). We ate a la carte and enjoyed all our choices!
Swanky little place that’s fun to go for date night or just dinner w the girls.
This restaurant is amazing! The food is incredible and very different.
I have been to Bazar many times , and the experience of eating and service used to be always impecable. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and I was very disappointed. We had the tasting menu and it was not worthed. The molecular gastronomy has gone away and we saw a repetition of dishes that were clearly prepared by someone that were clearly copying what was once a great recipe but not a chef . Plating was sloppy , ingredients were cheap and we missed the flavor that made the elevating experience a moment of happiness at the Bazar. The food were dropped at the table without a proper explanation and when asked about the dishes the waiters seemed to repeat something that they did not know about it. The bathroom was so used up , the faucets leaking and floor dirty and sticky , so definitely not going back there ! It was a great experience in the past , but lost all the exceptional character that it once had.
This was an amazing dinner! I took my dad here for his 63rd birthday, and it was a great choice. Each dish they brought out was exquisitely plated, and tasted wonderful. We easily ordered more than a dozen dishes, and not one of them disappointed. He proclaimed that dinner to be the best experience he has ever had dining. Thank you Bazaar for making such an incredible night filled with good memories happen. We will surely come back!
Absolutely amazing! Josh was the most attentive and delightful server.
We had their omakase menu, it’s $140 per person. You get to try different dishes at one time but the value is not worthy since you only get very tiny version of each dish. It will be more cost efficient if you order separately from their menu.
Food was interesting, creative and delicious. Service not so much. There were 4 of us and each couple ordered 5 dishes. One couple received all their food at once, while the other couple had to wait, and wait, and wait. There were no apologies from the waiter, only some lame excuses about the kitchen being busy. We were offered more wine which we did not want. We should have been offered at least, a free dessert, but no. That made for an unpleasant dining experience because two of us ate all our food - didn't want it to get cold - while the other two sat and waited, and then the reverse. Inexcusable that NO apologies or any kind of consideration was offered.
everything was great as usual will do it again. great ambiance and very expensive but you get what you pay for
Best dining experience EVER. And I’m a foodie and a cook. Each bite sent tingling sensations throughout my entire body, literally.
Great food, great service. The whole experience was excellent. My wife and I will definitely be back.
