Friendly ‘Covid secure’ welcome. Great ambience....the Beehive manages to be an excellent relaxed restaurant combined with a decent pub environment. Food and service excellent.

The food was very good and the staff and very helpful. The only thing that soured our experience was that when we arrived we were told that they no longer had any Sunday roasts left...and then a hour later brought out six roast dinners for a table in the corner. I asked the waiter what this was all about and he said that the person in the corner was a regular and he had ‘pre ordered’ the roasts.

Whist I applaud his organisational abilities in pre ordering, this is not a function available to the masses whilst booking on the website or over the phone, so it left a sour taste in my mouth. Just don’t tell people you’ve run out and then parade six roasts out in front of us all...

Excellent food. Alicia was a star as always & went out of her way to spend time with all of the guests. She is a credit to the restaurant. My only concerns was the automatic addition to the bill of the service charge & the automatic assumption that I would want to pay that. Once on the bill it is difficult & embarrassing to change, particularly with guests present. I prefer to make my own decision on gratuities.,...,,sometimes I will pay less than 12.5%..and sometimes more.....but at least the choice is mine.

Nice pub and my meal was great but my husband was disappointed with the chips as they were hard and not as tasty as expected for cost. Dessert great but feel slightly high in price charged for certain things but can understand during this year for them

We all thoroughly enjoyed our evening at the Beehive, celebrating my 60th birthday a little early, just before the lockdown. Service was friendly and efficient, food and wine superb. We would gladly recommend the Beehive and hope to be back in the future.

Great food and lovely atmosphere as always...

This is my second time dining at the Beehive and certainly won’t be the last! The chef boasts an excellent seasonal menu, using fine quality ingredients. A notch up from your average pub grub. More of a fine dining experience.

Excellent food, service, and ambiance, all as usual, which is why we continue to return.

Baked Alaska was delicious. Very relaxed ambience. Very COVID safe. Gorgeous if but a little pricey.

Excellent cooking with no unnecessary trickery. A good venue for Sunday lunch as the menu goes beyond the basic roasts with superb fish and game cookery too. The dining room feels comfortable and safe and the staff are all charming.

Always a warm welcome. Tables well positioned to cope with Covid restrictions. Felt comfortable.

Consistant quality and service - hard to fault the service or the food

We felt that there was a limited choice for Gluten Free guests. The food was good however, a little overpriced

Two years since our last visit and was not a disappointment. In the current climate the experience was fantastic with clear signage and guidelines form the moment we entered.

The Chefs and Floor Team clearly love providing and experience through the food. The food is by far the best mean we have had in a very long time it’s a different level of flavours and pairings.

Detailed and extensive wine list which you can pair with each meal. The menu has enough choice for everyone, even people who are picky. The portion sizes are perfect big(ish) starters give you enough to enjoy the food and the mains were excellent, the most amazing chips you can imagine.

Brilliant all round and look forward to coming back, not waiting two years this time!!

Great menu staff were of the highest level very polite and great service throughout a fantastic meal - wine list extensive and value for money

I ordered the Hereford beef fillet with chips on the side. Everything on the main was excessively salty, the sauce was bitter and the steak was dry. The chips had a shocking resemblance to cardboard, how could you mess up chips? I feel really bad bc my partner didn't enjoy it at all and we were so excited looking at ratings and images beforehand. I can't say it was terrible but it def wasn't michelin star as it states it is.

Fantastic evening and outstanding meal as ever.
Only big of feedback would be to please stock some of the Alcohol free gins. For drivers it would be appreciated as the mocktail menu is not that exciting. Great overall though.

Fantastic food, as always. Beautifully cooked. Quieter (noise wise) this time - in a good way, due I’m sure to social distancing between tables.

We left the place being disappointed because from the menu they run out of 2 dishes we had chosen .
Then I asked for a vodka lemonade , the lady told me that they have Grey Goose & Absolut , I asked for a Grey G. one.
After few minutes she’s coming back saying that they’ve run out of that as well ... and if we don’t like anything else. At that moment I just wanted to stand up and go but we took a train to come to this place so I said to my husband let’s stay for whatever they have , what’s the point of going to a restaurant if they don’t have the stuff you like?
It was no music on the background so we could hear everyone’s conversation.
The service wasn’t great either as we needed to wait quite a long time to be asked/served.
They saw us really annoyed and they offered 2 glasses of Prosecco or Champagne I don’t know to be honest what was exactly, I just had a small zip and it tasted cheap .
The gesture was nice , I appreciate it but when your appetite is gone doesn’t mean much.

Would be outstanding across the board but only sell Diet Coke from a dispenser,!

Its like Covid never happened , they comply with all the rules and its the same great food...why cant all restaurants be like this ...and then at the end a pleasant surprise, they have an even better deal that Rishis discount...

Amazing food, amazing service. Fantastic experience

First time eating out (inside!), as a family, since lockdown began and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive to our concerns about opening windows etc (the windows/doors had been closed due to a heavy rainstorm just before we arrived) to make us feel more comfortable and the restaurant more ‘airy’.
Food was superb - with a special mention for the rabbit lasagne; halibut main and baked Alaska.
We will definitely be back!
