   Made reservations months in advance and requested to sit in a quiet area in the restaurant for our anniversary. They sat us at the smallest table possible right next to the dessert counter AND next to the bathroom. The drinks and service were good, but that was it. My fiancée’s salad came out as two large bunches of lettuce that she had to cut on her own, which was near impossible on such a small plate. Neither sandwich we tried was worth the price, and the cake we had crumbled apart each time we cut into it. I’ve had this cake at the shop in Carmel and I think they must do a better job of dining and baking apparently at that location too. Don’t plan to come back to this location again.

   Celebrated my sister-in-laws 75th Birthday - We arrived 45 minutes early and they were happy to seat us immediately (around 2;30 in the afternoon) ALL employees were very kind. We were offered a real menu - or we could have scanned a code. We were instructed well how long the food will take (about 20 minutes once order was placed). Portions of food was perfect - Came out hot. (Quiche). Argula Salad was perfectly seasoned. We did order dessert (Apple Crumble Pie + Raspberry Champaign cake) Dessert - Coffee were perfect (note: They do offer de-caf) We spent almost 2 hours - felt no hurry to leave Perfect place for Girls Day Out - Quiet Birthday celebration - anniversaries Will return in October with a group --- Can't Wait.

   Tables are too close to each other. Some of the children were noisy and made it difficult to hear my friend who was sitting across from me. Her quiche was good, my half sandwich and salad were okay and I could have easily made both at home and they would have had more flavor. The lemon bar was excellent. I was expecting a different experience I think going for a cup of tea and a dessert would be best.

    Took my mom to celebrate a late Mother’s Day. Tried a different cake and it was very dry with little flavor. Chicken salad croissant was as good as always There was a party of ladies celebrating something at a table and unfortunately they were loud enough that it made it difficult to hold a conversation at our table.

    The food was truly amazing, but we were at a small table for two and could not hear each other due to the noise level. We were the only adults with no small children in the restaurant. I have no problem dropping over $100 for lunch for premium food, but I literally felt as though I was eating in a school cafeteria. I’ve always loved The Cake Bake for celebrating special occasions, but will not be returning.

    We drove a couple hours for a Birthday/Mother’s Day celebration. A bit pricey, but worth the experience. Surprised this location was so small, but very beautiful! While we were in no hurry the waitress could have been a bit more attentive.

    Service was a bit slow for the minimal guests. I wish they had more dinner-type food options; sandwiches, quiches, and soups aren't dinner meals. For what the food is it is overpriced ($12 pbj cough cough). I noted it was for a birthday on the reservation and we got no extra balloons, candle, anything. Overall, you pay for the hype and experience.

    We had cocktails and cake for my daughter's 21st birthday and the raspberry champagne cake didn't taste like anything besides sour raspberries, the coconut passion fruit cake was dried out, I had the raspberry sangria and it didn't taste like raspberry at all. The macaroons were dried out. The best part was sitting in the beautiful room that was decorated with a tree and the waitress was really nice.

    We went to the Cake Bake Shop in Broad Ripple for my daughter-in-law’s baby sprinkle. We had a lovely afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Several of us had the choose two selection of chicken salad and chicken velvet soup - delicious. The four of us had different slices of cake and sampled each other’s. The cake was decadent. A wonderful experience and we certainly plan to return again.

    We enjoyed out luncheon at Cake Bake in Broad Ripple. The only criticism was the noise level was intolerable. Luckily. there was a table for 2 in the hallway where we sat after making a change. If we hadn't been able to move we would have had to leave. I know it will be perfect after you can offer outside seating!!

    We were a party of three for early lunch. Service and menu selections were wonderful. The quiche, salads and soup were excellent. The hot chocolate was a bit disappointing. The music being played was louder than a small restaurant can handle, forcing diners to talk louder, raising the noise level higher. No music at all would be my preference. The lemon blueberry cake fillings, icing and toppings were delicious but the cake itself was a bit dry.

    Honestly it wasn’t very special. They tried to cram us into a very small spot. It seemed like we had gotten forgotten about a couple of times. We were celebrating a class reunion and it just didn’t seem very special. We’ve been before and it felt like “Disney experience in indiana” but this time it was just not as good.

    Had a birthday brunch for a friend, told them in the reservation so they had a name place and baloons ready which was so nice. Service was great, I think her name was Rebecca maybe, very sweet girl, she was patient with us as we took while to order, gave recommendations when we asked for her thoughts, came back to check on us frequently, took our to go orders for cakes and even came back and let my friend do a glitter wish before we left. Her service was great and I highly recommend Cake Bake for small special occasions and brunch. The tables and seating area are small and tight but it fit the theme and was very nice.     I have visited The Cake Bake Shop in Carmel 3 to 4 times but this was my first time at the Broad Ripple (the original) location. My boyfriend and I drove by the shop once before realizing it was a remodeled house. The tables are very small and placed close together. Not nearly as many decorations as the Carmel store due to the smaller space. The menu in Broad Ripple also does not offer as many options as the Carmel store. I wanted french onion soup and french fries with my chicken salad croissant but they were not offered. Service was good but not outstanding. Our server did not greet us immediately after being seated despite a small number of people in the shop at 10:30 am on Easter Sunday 2022. He also did not come and check on our food quality within the first 5-10 minutes after the food was brought out. Otherwise, he did a fine job. Food quality was good but not large enough portions for my boyfriend. We each selected a piece of cake (blueberry & lemon and millionaire) and ate some at the shop and took the rest home. The prices at The Cake Bake Shop keep going up and our total bill was over $98 for two people. We left a $20 tip also. All in all, in my opinion, this is a pretty pricey lunch for a couple. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the leisurely time we spent there. I love the glitter on the cake and lemons in my iced tea. I will return to the Carmel location (which I now like better) but it will only be for special occassions because of the overall price of the meal.

    Never a bad time at Cake Bake! Took my 3 and 2 year old daughters for the first time and they LOVED it. I’ve been plenty of times before and was worried it might be too fancy for kids but we felt so welcome! $12 felt a bit much for a kids meal of PBJ and chips but really you’re paying for the ambience and I went in knowing I would spend a lot so it wasn’t a huge deal. The quiche was great (as always) and we all shared the Millionaire slice and it was perfect. Had a great time!
